CLIMATIC COMFORT
Knob D enables the air introduced into
the vehicle to reach all areas of the
passenger compartment through five
distribution options:
delivers air from central and side
vents
warms the feet and keeps the face
cool (bi-level function)
warms up the passenger
compartment faster
warms up the passenger
compartment and demists the
windscreen at the same time
demists and defrosts the
windscreen and front side
windows.
ADDITIONAL HEATER
(for versions/markets, where provided)
This device warms up the passenger
compartment more quickly when it
is very cold and the engine coolant
temperature is low.
The additional heater comes on
automatically when the engine is
started, if knob A is turned to the last
red sector and the fan (knob C) is
at least at the first speed level.
The additional heater turns off
automatically after the required comfort
conditions are achieved.IMPORTANT The heater will not turn on
if the battery voltage is too low.
WARNING
2)The air conditioning system uses R134a
or R1234yf refrigerant compatible with
the regulations in force in the countries
where the vehicle is sold. When charging,
only use the gas indicated on the
dedicated plate in the engine
compartment. The use of other coolants
affects the efficiency and condition of
the system. The lubricant used for the
compressor is also strictly linked to the
type of cooling gas, please refer to a Fiat
Dealership.
ELECTRIC WINDOWS
ELECTRIC FRONT
WINDOWS
(for versions/markets, where provided)
There are buttons fig. 43 on the driver
side door panel trim which control
the following functions, with the ignition
key turned to MAR:
TO: Opening/closing of left-hand
window
B: Opening/closing of right-hand
window
Push button A or B to open the
appropriate window.
Lift button A or B to close the
appropriate window.
When one of the two buttons is
pressed briefly, the window moves in
stages; if the button is held down,
"continuous automatic" operation is
activated both for closing and opening.
Press button A or B again to stop the
window in its current position.
The electric windows are fitted with a
security system (for versions/markets,
where provided) that can detect the
presence of an obstacle whilst the
window is closing; when this happens,
the system kicks in and the movement
of the glass is immediately reversed.

KNOWING YOUR VEHICLE
141)Do not remove the reservoir cap
when the engine is very hot as there is a
risk of scalding. The cooling system is
pressurised. If the cap needs replacing, do
so with another original or the effectiveness
of the system may be compromised.
142)Do not travel if the windscreen washer
reservoir is empty: using the windscreen
washer is essential for improving visibility.
143)Some commercial windscreen washer
additives are flammable. The engine
compartment contains hot parts which
could start a fire if they come into contact.
144)Brake fluid is poisonous and highly
corrosive. In the event of accidental
contact, immediately wash the affected
parts with water and mild soap. Then rinse
thoroughly. Call a doctor immediately if
swallowed.
145)The symbol
, on the brake fluid
container indicates if a brake fluid is
synthetic or mineralbased. Use of mineral
type fluids will damage the special rubber
seals of the braking system beyond repair.
146)Prevent power steering fluid from
coming into contact with hot engine parts:
it is flammable.
147)Battery fluid is poisonous and
corrosive. Avoid contact with skin and
eyes. Keep naked flames and sources of
sparks away from the battery: risk of
explosion and fire.
148)Using the battery with insufficient
battery fluid may irreparably damage the
battery and may cause an explosion.
149)When performing any operation on
the battery or near it, always protect your
eyes with special goggles.
WARNING
36)When topping up, take care not to mix
up the various types of fluids: they are
not compatible with each other and could
seriously damage the vehicle.
37)Used engine oil and replaced oil filters
contain substances which are harmful to
the environment. To change oil and filters,
we advise you to contact a Fiat Dealership.
38)PARAFLU
UPanti-freeze fluid is used
in the cooling system. Use fluid of the
same type as that contained in the cooling
system for any top-ups. PARAFLU
UP
fluid cannot be mixed with any other type
of fluid. If this occurs, do not start the
engine and contact your Fiat Dealership
immediately.
39)Prevent brake fluid, which is highly
corrosive, from coming into contact with
painted parts. Should it happen,
immediately wash with water.
40)Incorrect installation of electric and
electronic devices may cause severe
damage to your vehicle. After purchasing
your vehicle, if you wish to install any
accessories (anti-theft, radio phone, etc.),
go to a Fiat Dealership, which will suggest
the most suitable devices and advise
you whether a higher capacity battery
needs to be installed.
41)If the vehicle will be unused for an
extended period of time in extremely cold
weather conditions, remove the battery
and store it in a heated area to prevent it
from freezing.
WARNING
3)Power steering fluid consumption is
extremely low; if another top-up is required
after only a short period of time, have the
system checked for leaks at a Fiat
Dealership.
4)Used transmission fluid contains
substances that are harmful to the
environment. It is advisable to have the oil
changed by a Fiat Dealership where it
will be disposed of respecting the
environment and according to legal
requirements.
5)Batteries contain substances which are
very dangerous for the environment. You
are recommended to go to a Fiat
Dealership to have the battery replaced
where the old battery will be disposed of
respecting both the environment and
the laws in force.
