Steering Wheel
Adjustment
To adjust the steering wheel:1. Pull the lever down.
2. Move the steering wheel up or down.
3. Pull or push the steering wheel closer or away from you.
4. Pull the lever up to lock the steering wheel in place.
Do not adjust the steering wheel
while driving.
Interior Lighting
Dome Lamps
The dome lamp controls are in the
overhead console.
To operate, press the following
buttons:
jOFF : Press to turn off the
dome lamps when a door is
open. An indicator light on the
button will turn on when the dome
lamp override is activated.
Press
jOFF again to deactivate this feature and the indicator light
will turn off. The dome lamps will
come on when doors are opened.
+
ON/OFF : Press to turn the dome
lamps on manually.
Reading Lamps
There are front and rear reading
lamps.
The front reading lamps are in the
overhead console.
Press the lamp lenses to turn the
front reading lamps on or off.

doors and access the hatch.
If equipped, there will be buttons on
the outside door handles.
Keyless Access can be
programmed to unlock all doors on
the first lock/unlock press from the
driver door. SeeVehicle
Personalization 0137.
Keyless Unlocking/Locking from
the Driver Door
Driver Side Shown, Passenger Doors Similar
When the doors are locked and the
RKE transmitter is within 1 m (3 ft) of
the driver door handle, pressing the
lock/unlock button on the driver door handle will unlock the driver door.
If the lock/unlock button is pressed
again within five seconds, all
passenger doors will unlock. Pull
the door handle to unlatch the door.
Pressing the lock/unlock button will
cause all doors to lock if any of the
following occur:
.
It has been more than
five seconds since the first lock/
unlock button press.
. Two lock/unlock button presses
were used to unlock all doors.
. Any vehicle door has opened
and all doors are now closed.
Keyless Unlocking/Locking from
Passenger Doors
When the doors are locked and the
RKE transmitter is within 1 m (3 ft) of
the door handle, pressing the lock/
unlock button on that door handle
will unlock all doors. Pressing the
lock/unlock button will cause all
doors to lock under either of the
following conditions:
. After the lock/unlock button was
used to unlock all doors .
After any vehicle door has
opened and all doors are now
closed
Disable/Enable Keyless Unlocking
of Exterior Door Handles and
Hatch
If equipped, keyless unlocking of the
exterior door handles and hatch can
be disabled and enabled.
Disabling Keyless Unlocking:
With the vehicle off, press and hold
QandKon the RKE transmitter at
the same time for approximately
three seconds. The turn signal
lamps will flash four times quickly to
indicate access is disabled. Using
any exterior handle to unlock the
doors or open the hatch will cause
the turn signal lamps to flash four
times quickly, indicating access is
disabled. If disabled, disarm the
alarm system before starting the
vehicle.
Enabling Keyless Unlocking:
With the vehicle off, press and
hold
QandKon the RKE
transmitter at the same time for

Remote Start Auto Heated Seats
During a remote start, the heated
seats can be turned on
automatically. When it is cold
outside, the heated seats will turn
on followed by the heated steering
wheel, if equipped. If the vehicle has
auto heated seats, the seat heating
level will automatically change to
the level required by the vehicle's
interior temperature.
The indicator lights on the heated
seat and heated steering wheel
buttons do not turn on during a
remote start.
The heated seats will not turn on
during a remote start unless the
heated seats feature is enabled in
vehicle personalization. SeeVehicle
Personalization 0137.Rear Seats
Rear Seat Reminder
If equipped, the message REAR
SEAT REMINDER LOOK IN REAR
SEAT displays under certain
conditions indicating there may be
an item or passenger in the rear
seat. Check before exiting the
vehicle.
This feature will activate when a
second row door is opened while
the vehicle is on or up to 10 minutes
before the vehicle is turned on.
There will be an alert when the
vehicle is turned off. The alert does
not directly detect objects in the rear
seat; instead, under certain
conditions, it detects when a rear
door is opened and closed,
indicating that there may be
something in the rear seat.
The feature is active only once each
time the vehicle is turned on and off,
and will require reactivation by
opening and closing the second row
doors. There may be an alert even
when there is nothing in the rear
seat; for example, if a child entered the vehicle through the rear door
and left the vehicle without the
vehicle being shut off.
The feature can be turned on or off.

Folding the Seatback
{Warning
If either seatback is not locked, it
could move forward in a sudden
stop or crash. That could cause
injury to the person sitting there.
Always push and pull on the
seatbacks to be sure they are
locked.
{Warning
A seat belt that is improperly
routed, not properly attached,
or twisted will not provide the
protection needed in a crash. The
person wearing the belt could be
seriously injured. After raising the

2. Raise the seatback and push itrearward to lock it into place.
A tab near the seatback
release lever retracts when the
seatback is locked.
3. Push and pull the top of the seatback to be sure it is locked
into position.
Keep the seat in the upright, locked
position when not in use.
Heated Rear Seats
{Warning
If temperature change or pain to
the skin cannot be felt, the seat
heater may cause burns. See the
Warning under Heated Front
Seats 057.
If equipped, the rear heated seat
buttons are on the rear of the center
console.
Press
MorLto heat the left
outboard or right outboard seat
cushion.
Seat Belts
This section describes how to use
seat belts properly, and some things
not to do.
{Warning
Do not let anyone ride where a
seat belt cannot be worn properly.
In a crash, if you or your
passenger(s) are not wearing
seat belts, injuries can be much
worse than if you are wearing
seat belts. You can be seriously
injured or killed by hitting things
inside the vehicle harder or by
being ejected from the vehicle. In
addition, anyone who is not
buckled up can strike other
passengers in the vehicle.
It is extremely dangerous to ride
in a cargo area, inside or outside
of a vehicle. In a collision,
passengers riding in these areas
are more likely to be seriously
injured or killed. Do not allow

economy will decrease less than in
MAX mode, but will result in
reduced comfort.
MAX Mode :Press MAX to select
this mode and the indicator will be
lit. The air conditioning and electric
heat are controlled to reach the best
comfort level based on the
temperature setting selected. In this
mode, vehicle electric range or fuel
economy will decrease depending
on the amount of energy required to
reach the best comfort levels.
The air conditioning and electric
heat could be on at the same time
when dehumidification is required in
eco or MAX modes.
The air conditioning may also run if
0MAX is selected, regardless of
the climate mode.
Automatic Operation
The system automatically controls
fan speed, air delivery mode, air
conditioning, and recirculation to
heat or cool the vehicle to the
selected temperature. When AUTO is lit, all four functions
operate automatically. Each function
can also be manually set and the
setting is displayed. Functions not
manually set will continue to be
automatically controlled, even if the
AUTO indicator is not lit.
For automatic operation:
1. Press AUTO.
2. Set the temperature. An initial setting of 23 °C (74 °F) is
recommended. Allow the
system time to stabilize. Adjust
the temperature as needed.
Manual Operation
O: Press to turn the climate control
system on and off.
A: Turn the knob clockwise or
counterclockwise to increase or
decrease the fan speed. The fan
speed setting appears on the
display screen. Manually adjusting
the fan speed cancels automatic fan
control. Press AUTO to return to
automatic operation. Press
Oto turn
off the fan and the climate control
system. If the power is turned off while in
eco or MAX mode, the display will
automatically change to Fan Only
mode. If the fan speed is increased
or AUTO is pressed, the climate
mode will revert back to eco or
MAX mode.
Temperature Control :
Turn the
knob clockwise or counterclockwise
to increase or decrease the
temperature setting.
Air Delivery Mode Control :
Press
X,Yor[or a combination
of the buttons to change the
direction of the airflow. The indicator
light in the button will turn on. The
current mode appears in the display
screen.
Pressing any of the air delivery
buttons cancels automatic air
delivery control and the direction of
the airflow can be controlled
manually. Press AUTO to return to
automatic operation.
To change the current mode, select
one or more of the following:
X: Air is directed to the windshield.
