To adjust the seat:
.Move the seat forward or
rearward by sliding the control
forward or rearward.
. If equipped, raise or lower the
front part of the seat cushion by
moving the front of the control
up or down.
. Raise or lower the entire seat by
moving the rear of the control up
or down.

Memory Features
If equipped, memory seats allow two
drivers to save and recall their
unique seat positions for driving the
vehicle, and a shared exit position
for getting out of the vehicle. Other
feature positions may also be
saved, such as power mirrors and
power steering wheel, if equipped.
Memory positions are linked to RKE
transmitter 1 or 2 for automatic
memory recalls.
Before saving, adjust all available
memory feature positions. Turn the
ignition on and then press and
release SET; a beep will sound. Then immediately press and hold 1,
2, or
B(Exit) until two beeps
sound. To manually recall these
positions, press and hold 1, 2, or
B
until the saved position is reached.
When Seat Entry Memory is
enabled in vehicle personalization,
positions previously saved to
memory buttons 1 and 2 are
recalled when the ignition is
changed from off to on or
ACC/ACCESSORY.
When Seat Exit Memory is enabled
in vehicle personalization, the
feature automatically recalls the
previously saved exit position when
exiting the vehicle.
Memory adjustments may not be
available upon delivery or after
service until the steps in “Saving
Memory Positions” are performed.

Front Pedestrian Braking
(FPB) System
If equipped, the FPB system may
help avoid or reduce the harm
caused by front-end crashes with
nearby pedestrians when driving in
a forward gear. FPB displays an
amber indicator,
~, when a nearby
pedestrian is detected directly
ahead. When approaching a
detected pedestrian too quickly,
FPB provides a red flashing alert on
the windshield and rapidly beeps or
pulses the driver seat. FPB can
provide a boost to braking or
automatically brake the vehicle.

Lane Keep Assist (LKA)
If equipped, LKA may help avoid
crashes due to unintentional lane
departures. It may assist by gently
turning the steering wheel if the
vehicle approaches a detected lane
marking without using a turn signal
in that direction. It may also provide
a Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
alert as the lane marking is crossed.
The system will not assist or alert if
it detects that you are actively
steering. Override LKA by turning
the steering wheel. LKA uses a
camera to detect lane markings
between 60 km/h (37 mph) and
180 km/h (112 mph).

Lane Change Alert (LCA)
If equipped, the LCA system is a
lane-changing aid that assists
drivers with avoiding lane change
crashes that occur with moving
vehicles in the side blind zone (or
spot) areas or with vehicles rapidly
approaching these areas from
behind. The LCA warning display
will light up in the corresponding
outside mirror and will flash if the
turn signal is on. The Side Blind
Zone Alert (SBZA) system is
included as part of the LCA system.

Surround Vision
If equipped, views around the
vehicle appear in the infotainment
display to aid with parking and
low-speed maneuvers.

Fuel
Regular Unleaded Fuel
Use only Regular 87 octane—
(R+M)/2 —or higher unleaded
gasoline in your vehicle. TOP TIER
Detergent Gasoline is
recommended. Do not use gasoline
with an octane rating lower as it will
result in reduced performance and
lower fuel economy. See
Recommended Fuel 0240.
E85 or FlexFuel
No E85 or FlexFuel
Gasoline-ethanol fuel blends greater
than E15 (15% ethanol by volume),
such as E85, cannot be used in this
vehicle.
Engine Oil Life System
The engine oil life system calculates
engine oil life based on vehicle use
and displays the CHANGE ENGINE
OIL SOON message when it is time
to change the engine oil and filter.
The oil life system should be reset
to 100% only following an oil
change.
Resetting the Oil Life System
1. Display the REMAINING OIL LIFE on the DIC. See Driver
Information Center (DIC) (Base
and Midlevel) 0144 or
Driver Information Center (DIC)
(Uplevel) 0147.
2. Press and hold the thumbwheel on the DIC while
the Oil Life display is active. 3. Confirm yes, and the oil life will
change to 100%.

Driving for Better Fuel
Economy
Driving habits can affect fuel
mileage. Here are some driving tips
to get the best fuel economy
possible.
.
Set the climate controls to the
desired temperature after the
engine is started, or turn them
off when not required.
. On AWD vehicles, see Driver
Mode Control 0210.
. Avoid fast starts and accelerate
smoothly.
. Brake gradually and avoid
abrupt stops.
. Avoid idling the engine for long
periods of time.
. When road and weather
conditions are appropriate, use
cruise control.

The vehicle identifies the current
driver ’s RKE transmitter
number (1–8). See Remote Keyless
Entry (RKE) System Operation 027.
Only RKE transmitters 1 and 2 can
be used for automatic memory
recalls. A Driver Information
Center (DIC) welcome message
indicating the transmitter number
may display for the first few ignition
cycles following a transmitter
change. For Seat Entry Memory to
work properly, save the positions to
the memory button (1 or 2) matching
the RKE transmitter number
displayed in the DIC welcome
message. Carry the linked RKE
transmitter when entering the
vehicle. Memory adjustments may not be
available upon delivery or after
service until the steps in
“Saving
Memory Positions” later in this
section are performed.
Vehicle Personalization Settings
. To have the Seat Entry Memory
movement begin when the
vehicle is started, select the
Settings menu, then Vehicle,
then Seating Position, and then
Seat Entry Memory. Select On or
Off. See “Seat Entry Memory”
later in this section.
. Seat Exit Memory movement
begins when the ignition is
turned off and the driver door is
opened, or when the ignition is
turned off with the driver door
already opened, select the
Settings menu, then Vehicle,
then Seating Position, and then
Seat Exit Memory. Select On or
Off. See “Seat Exit Memory”
later in this section.

Speedometer : Displays how fast
the vehicle is moving in either
kilometers per hour (km/h) or miles
per hour (mph).
Speed Sign : Shows sign
information, which comes from a
roadway database in the onboard
navigation, if equipped.
Time : Displays the current time.
Active Safety : If equipped,
displays information for Lane Keep
Assist (LKA) and Forward Collision
Alert (FCA). Fuel Range :
Displays the
approximate distance the vehicle
can be driven without refueling. The
fuel range estimate is based on an
average of the vehicle’s fuel
economy over recent driving history
and the amount of fuel remaining in
the fuel tank. Fuel range cannot be
reset.
Audio
Use the thumbwheel to scrollyor
zthrough options, browse for
music, select from favorites,
or change the audio source. In the
main view, scroll to change the
station or go to the next or previous
track.
Navigation
In the Navigation menu, if there is
no active route, press the
thumbwheel to access Recents or
Favorites. If there is an active route,
press the thumbwheel to cancel or
resume route guidance, mute or
unmute voice guidance, or access
Recents or Favorites.

In the Phone menu, if there is no
active phone call, view recent calls,
scroll through contacts, select from
the favorites, or change the phone
source. If there is an active call,
mute the phone or switch to handset
operation.

Speed Warning : Allows you to set
a speed not to be exceeded. To set,
press the thumbwheel when Speed
Warning is displayed. Useyorz
to adjust the value. Press the
thumbwheel to set the speed. Once
the speed is set, this feature can be
turned off by pressing the
thumbwheel while viewing this page.
If the selected speed limit is
exceeded, a pop-up warning is
displayed with a chime.
