The compass system is designed to
operate for a certain number of miles
or degrees of turn before needing a
signal from the GPS satellites. When
the compass display shows CAL, drive
the vehicle for a short distance in an
open area where it can receive a GPS
signal. The compass system will
automatically determine when a GPS
signal is restored and provide a
heading again.
Clock
The infotainment system controls are
used to access the time and date
settings through the menu system.
See“Home Page ”in the infotainment
manual for information about how to
use the menu system.
Setting the Clock
Time
To set the time:
1. From the Home Page, touch SETTINGS, then touch Time
and Date. 2. Touch Set Time, then touch + or
−to increase or decrease hours
or minutes, and change AM
or PM.
3. Touch 12-24 Hr for a 12 or 24 hour clock.
4. Touch

Date
To set the date: 1. From the Home Page, touch SETTINGS, then touch Time
and Date.
2. Touch Set Date, then touch + or −to increase or decrease month,
day, or year.

Auto Set
When on, the time and date will
automatically update.
To set auto set: 1. From the Home Page, touch
SETTINGS, then touch Time
and Date.
2. Touch Set Time or Set Date.
3. Touch Auto Set, then select On-Cell Network or Off-Manual
to manually set the time
and date.
4. Touch

previous menu.
If auto set is on, the time displayed on
the clock may not update immediately
when driving into a new time zone.
In some regions, auto set may require
an active OnStar or connected service
plan, if available.
Clock Display
When on, the digital clock will display
on the infotainment screen.
To set the clock display: 1. From the Home Page, touch SETTINGS, then touch Time
and Date.
2. Touch Clock Display, then select Off or On.

Each menu is detailed in the following

Time and Date
Manually set the time and date. See
Clock 0117.
Rear Seat Reminder
This allows for a chime and a message
when the rear door has been opened
before or during operation of the
vehicle.
Select Off or On.
Language
Select Language, then select from the
available language(s).
The selected language will display on
the system, and voice recognition will
reflect the selected language.
Teen Driver
See “Teen Driver” under“Settings ”in
the infotainment manual.
Valet Mode
This will lock the infotainment system
and steering wheel controls. It may
also limit access to vehicle storage
locations, if equipped.
To enable valet mode:
1. Enter a four-digit code on the keypad. 2. Select Enter to go to the
confirmation screen.
3. Re-enter the four-digit code.
Select Lock or Unlock to lock or
unlock the system. Touch Back to go
back to the previous menu.
Radio
Touch and the following may display:
. Manage Favorites
. Number of Favorites Shown
. Audible Touch Feedback
. Bose Audio Pilot
. Maximum Start Up Volume
Manage Favorites
This allows favorites to be edited. See
“Manage Favorites ”in “Settings” under
“Radio ”in the infotainment manual.
Number of Favorites Shown
Select to set the number of favorites
to display.
Select the desired number or select
Auto and the infotainment system will
automatically adjust the number of
favorites shown.

Caution
Using a jack to raise the vehicle
without positioning it correctly
could damage your vehicle. When
raising your vehicle on a jack, be
sure to position it correctly under
the frame and avoid contact with
the plastic molding.
5. Turn the wheel wrench clockwiseto raise the jack until the slot in
the jack lift head fits into the
metal flange located behind the
cut out on the plastic molding. Do not raise the vehicle yet.
6. Put the compact spare tire near you.
7. Raise the vehicle by turning the wheel wrench clockwise in the
jack. Raise the vehicle far enough
off the ground so there is enough
room for the spare tire to fit
under the wheel well.
8. Remove all of the wheel nuts.
9. Remove the flat tire.
{Warning
Rust or dirt on a wheel, or on the
parts to which it is fastened, can
make wheel nuts become loose
after time. The wheel could come
off and cause a crash. When
changing a wheel, remove any rust
or dirt from places where the wheel
attaches to the vehicle. In an
emergency, a cloth or a paper towel
can be used; however, use a scraper
or wire brush later to remove all
rust or dirt.
