Remote Keyless Entry
(RKE) System
The Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)
transmitter is used to remotely lock
and unlock the doors from up to 60 m
(197 ft) away from the vehicle.K:Press to unlock the driver door.
Press
Kagain within three seconds to
unlock all remaining doors.
Q: Press to lock all doors.
Lock and unlock feedback can be
personalized. See Vehicle
Personalization 0155.
b:Press twice to open or close the
liftgate. Press once to stop the liftgate
from moving.
c: Press twice to open the liftglass.
7:Press and release to initiate
vehicle locate. The turn signal lamps
flash and the horn sound three times. Press
7and hold for more than
three seconds to sound the panic
alarm.
Press
7again to cancel the panic
alarm.

Remote Vehicle Start
The engine can be started from
outside of the vehicle.
Starting the Vehicle
1. Press and releaseQon the RKE
transmitter.
2. Immediately press and hold
/
for at least four seconds or until
the turn signal lamps flash.
Start the vehicle normally after
entering.
When the vehicle starts, the parking
lamps will turn on.
Remote start can be extended.

Windshield Wiper/Washer
The windshield wiper control is on the
turn signal lever.
The windshield wipers are controlled
by turning the band with
zFRONT
on it.
1: Fast wipes.
w: Slow wipes.
3INT : Use this setting for
intermittent wipes or Rainsense ™. For
intermittent wipes, turn the
z
FRONT band up for more frequent
wipes or down for less frequent wipes. To turn on Rainsense, press
z
AUTO on the lever, then turn thez
FRONT band on the wiper lever to
adjust the sensitivity.

Turn the band up to a higher INT
setting for more sensitivity to
moisture.
. Turn the band down to the lower
INT setting for less sensitivity to
moisture.
Move the band out of the
3INT
position to deactivate Rainsense.
OFF : Turns the windshield wipers off.
8:For a single wipe, turn the band
down, then release. For several wipes,
hold the band down.
Lm: Push the paddle at the top of
the lever to spray washer fluid on the
windshield.

Climate Controls
The climate control buttons and the
touch screen are used to adjust the
heating, cooling, and ventilation.

SeeForward Collision Alert (FCA)
System 0243.
Forward Automatic
Braking (FAB)
If the vehicle has Forward Collision
Alert (FCA), it also has FAB, which
includes Intelligent Brake Assist (IBA).
When the system detects a vehicle
ahead in your path that is traveling in
the same direction that you may be
about to crash into, it can provide a
boost to braking or automatically
brake the vehicle. This can help avoid
or lessen the severity of crashes when
driving in a forward gear.

Lane Keep Assist (LKA)
If equipped, LKA may help avoid
crashes due to unintentional lane
departures. It may assist by gently
turning the steering wheel if the
vehicle approaches a detected lane
marking without using a turn signal in
that direction. It may also provide a
Lane Departure Warning (LDW) alert as the lane marking is crossed. The
system will not assist or alert if it
detects that you are actively steering.
Override LKA by turning the steering
wheel. LKA uses a camera to detect
lane markings between 60 km/h (37
mph) and 180 km/h (112 mph).

Lane Change Alert (LCA)
If equipped, the LCA system is a
lane-changing aid that assists drivers
with avoiding lane change crashes
that occur with moving vehicles in the
side blind zone (or spot) areas or with
vehicles rapidly approaching these
areas from behind. The LCA warning
display will light up in the
corresponding outside mirror and will
flash if the turn signal is on. The Side
Blind Zone Alert (SBZA) system is
included as part of the LCA system.

Surround Vision
If equipped, views around the vehicle
appear in the infotainment display to
aid with parking and low-speed
maneuvers.

Front Vision Camera
If equipped, a view of the area in front
of the vehicle appears on the
infotainment display to aid with
parking and low-speed maneuvers.

Rear Vision Camera (RVC)
If equipped, RVC shows a view of the
area behind the vehicle on the
infotainment display when the vehicle
is shifted into R (Reverse) to aid with
parking and low-speed backing
maneuvers.

Anti-Lockout is enabled, all doors will lock and then the driver door will
immediately unlock. See

door is open when

Qarms the alarm system.

pressing and holding

one second will fold the mirrors,

K:Press once to unlock the driver
door. If
Kis pressed again within
three seconds, all remaining doors
unlock. The interior lamps may come
on and stay on for 20 seconds or until
the ignition is turned on.
If enabled, the turn signal lamps flash
twice to indicate unlocking has
occurred. If enabled, the exterior
lamps may turn on. See Vehicle
Personalization 0155.
Pressing
Kon the RKE transmitter
disarms the alarm system. See Vehicle
Alarm System 048. If equipped with auto mirror folding,
pressing and holding

one second will unfold the mirrors,

fully open, if remote window

started from outside the vehicle using
the RKE transmitter. SeeRemote

Keyless Access Operation
The Keyless Access system allows for
the doors and liftgate to be accessed
without pressing the RKE transmitter
button. The RKE transmitter must be
within 1 m (3 ft) of the liftgate or door
being opened. The buttons are on the
outside door handles.
Keyless Access can be programmed to
unlock all doors on the first lock/
unlock press from the driver door. See
Vehicle Personalization 0155.
If equipped with memory seats, RKE
transmitters 1 and 2 are linked to
seating positions of memory 1 or 2.

Keyless Unlocking/Locking from the
Driver Door
When the doors are locked and the
RKE transmitter is within 1 m (3 ft) of
the door handle, pressing the lock/
unlock button on the driver door
handle will unlock the driver door. If the lock/unlock button is pressed
again within five seconds, all
passenger doors and the liftgate will
unlock.
Driver Side Shown, Passenger Similar
Pressing the lock/unlock button will
cause all doors to lock if any of the
following occur:
. It has been no more than
five seconds since the first lock/
unlock button press.
. Two lock/unlock button presses
were used to unlock all doors.
. Any vehicle door has been opened
and all doors are now closed. Keyless Unlocking/Locking from the
Passenger Doors
When the doors are locked and the
RKE transmitter is within 1 m (3 ft) of
the door handle, pressing the lock/
unlock button on a passenger door
handle will unlock all doors. Pressing
the lock/unlock button will cause all
doors to lock if any of the following
occur:
.
The lock/unlock button was used
to unlock all doors.
. Any vehicle door has been opened
and all doors are now closed.
Disable/Enable Keyless Unlocking of
Exterior Door Handles and Liftgate
If equipped, keyless unlocking of the
exterior door handles and liftgate can
be disabled and enabled.
Disabling Keyless Unlocking:
With the vehicle off, press and hold
Q
andKon the RKE transmitter at the
same time for approximately
three seconds. The turn signal lamps
will flash four times quickly to
indicate access is disabled. Using any

exterior handle to unlock the doors or
open the liftgate will cause the turn
signal lamps to flash four times
quickly, indicating access is disabled.
If disabled, disarm the alarm system
before starting the vehicle.
Enabling Keyless Unlocking:
With the vehicle off, press and hold
Q
andKon the RKE transmitter at the
same time for approximately
three seconds. The turn signal lamps
will flash twice quickly to indicate
access is enabled.
Passive Locking
Keyless Access will lock the vehicle
several seconds after all doors are
closed, if the vehicle is off and at least
one RKE transmitter has been
removed from the interior, or none
remain in the interior.
If other electronic devices interfere
with the RKE transmitter signal, the
vehicle may not detect the RKE
transmitter inside the vehicle.
If passive locking is enabled, the doors
may lock with the RKE transmitter inside the vehicle. Do not leave the
RKE transmitter in an unattended
vehicle.

automatically lock when exiting the
vehicle, see
“Remote Lock, Unlock,
Start ”under Vehicle Personalization
0 155.
Temporary Disable of Passive
Locking
Temporarily disable passive locking by
pressing and holding
Kon the
interior door switch with a door open
for at least four seconds, or until three
chimes are heard. Passive locking will
then remain disabled until
Qon the
interior door is pressed, or until the
vehicle is turned on.
Remote Left In Vehicle Alert
When the vehicle is turned off and an
RKE transmitter is left in the vehicle,
the horn will chirp three times after
all doors are closed. To turn on or off
see Vehicle Personalization 0155. Remote No Longer in Vehicle Alert
If the vehicle is on with a door open,
and then all doors are closed, the
vehicle will check for RKE
transmitters inside. If an RKE
transmitter is not detected, the Driver
Information Center (DIC) will display
NO REMOTE DETECTED and the horn
will chirp three times. This occurs
only once each time the vehicle is
driven. To turn on or off see
Vehicle
Personalization 0155.
Keyless Liftgate Opening
Press the touch pad on the rear of the
liftgate above the license plate to open
the liftgate when all doors are
unlocked or when the transmitter is
within 1 m (3 ft).
Keyless Liftglass Opening
Press the exterior liftglass button to
open the liftglass when all doors are
unlocked or when the transmitter is
within 1 m (3 ft).

When all additional transmitters
are programmed, press and hold
ENGINE START/STOP for
approximately 12 seconds to exit
programming mode.
8. Return the key back into the transmitter.
9. Replace the key lock cylinder cap. See Door Locks 036.
Starting the Vehicle with a Low
Transmitter Battery
If the transmitter battery is weak or if
there is interference with the signal,
the DIC may display NO REMOTE
DETECTED or NO REMOTE KEY WAS
DETECTED PLACE KEY IN
TRANSMITTER POCKET THEN
START YOUR VEHICLE when starting
the vehicle.
To start the vehicle:
1. Open the center console storage area and the storage tray.2. Place the transmitter in thetransmitter pocket/insert.
3. With the vehicle in P (Park) or N (Neutral) press the brake pedal
and ENGINE START/STOP.
Replace the transmitter battery
as soon as possible.
Battery Replacement
Caution
When replacing the battery, do not
touch any of the circuitry on the
transmitter. Static from your body
could damage the transmitter. Replace the battery if the DIC displays
REPLACE BATTERY IN REMOTE KEY.
1. Press the button on the side of
the RKE transmitter near the
bottom to remove the key. Never
pull the key out without pressing
the button.
