Donotdrivehigherthantwo-thirds ofthemaxi-
mumpermittedengineRPMduringthefirst600
miles(1,000km)and donotusefullaccelera-
tion.TheenginecanbeincreasedRPMgradually
duringthenext300miles(500km).
Reducingthe riskofvehicledamage
Thegroundclearanceistoolowonsomemodels
todriveonroughterrain.Therefore, avoidoff-
roadtrips.

Theengineoilmustbechangedattheintervals
specifiedintheWarranty&MaintenanceBook-
let.Thisisveryimportantbecausethelubrication
functionoftheoilgraduallydeclinesduringregu-
larvehicleoperation.
Theengineoilshouldbechangedmorefrequent-
lyundercertaincircumstances.Havetheoil
changedmorefrequentlyifyouoftendriveshort
distances,yourvehicleispredominantlyinstop-
and-gotrafficsituations,isinverydustyenviron-
ments,orisoperatedforlongperiodsoftimein
temperaturesbelowzero.
Cleansingadditivesintheoilmakefreshoilap-
peardarkeraftertheenginehasrunbriefly.This
isnormalandnoreasontochangetheengineoil
morefrequentlythanrecommended.
Becausecorrectlydisposingofengineoilisdiffi-
cultandspecialtoolsandtechnicalknowledge
areneededforanoilchange,havingyourengine

engine.Ifthishappens,onlyusewaterand
restorethecorrectmixtureratiowiththe
specifiedcoolantadditiveassoonaspossi-
