If a fuse is blown, replace it as follows.
1. Turn the key to “OFF” and turn off
the electrical circuit in question.
2. Remove the blown fuse, and then
install a new fuse of the specified
amperage. WARNING! Do not
use a fuse of a higher amperagerating than recommended to
avoid causing extensive dam-
age to the electrical system and
possibly a fire.

and then remove the burnt-out
bulb.4. Place a new headlight bulb into
position, and then secure it with
the bulb holder.
5. Install the headlight bulb cover,
and then connect the coupler.
6. Install the headlight unit by install-
ing the bolts.
7. Have a Yamaha dealer adjust the
headlight beam if necessary.

Replacing the auxiliary light
bulb If the auxiliary light bulb burns out, re-
place it as follows.
1. Remove the headlight unit. (See
page 6-33.)
2. Remove the auxiliary light bulb
socket (together with the bulb) by
pulling it out.
3. Remove the burnt-out bulb by
pulling it out.

Vehicle data recordingThis model’s ECU stores certain vehi-
cle data to assist in the diagnosis of
malfunctions and for research, statisti-
cal analysis and development purpos-
es.
Although the sensors and recorded
data will vary by model, the main data
points are:
Vehicle status and engine perfor-
mance data
Fuel-injection and emission-relat-
ed data
This data will be uploaded only when a
special Yamaha diagnostic tool is at-
tached to the vehicle, such as when
maintenance checks or service proce-
dures are performed.
Vehicle data uploaded will be handled
appropriately according to the follow-
ing Privacy Policy.
Privacy PolicyYamaha will not disclose this data to a
third party except in the following cas-
es. In addition, Yamaha may provide
vehicle data to a contractor in order to
outsource services related to the han-
dling of vehicle data. Even in this case,
Yamaha will require the contractor to
properly handle the vehicle data we
provided and Yamaha will appropriate-
ly manage the data.
