Steering wheel lock The steering wheel lock activates
automatically when:
● The vehicle is stationary.
● The ignition has been switched off.
● The driver's door is opened.
To release steering wheel lock, open
and close driver's door and switch on accessory mode or start the engine
directly.9 Warning
If the vehicle battery is discharged,
the vehicle must not be towed,
tow-started or jump-started as the
steering wheel lock cannot be
disengaged.
Operation on vehicles with
electronic key system in case of
failure
If either the electronic key fails or the
battery of the electronic key is weak,
the Driver Information Centre may
display No Remote Detected or
Replace Battery in Remote Key when
you try to start the vehicle.
1. Place the electronic key in the front cupholder of the centreconsole. Place the electronic key
solely centred in the transmitter
area in longitudinal direction flat
with buttons upside as shown in
the illustration.
2. With the vehicle in P (Park) or N
(Neutral), depress the brake
pedal and press
Engine Start/Stop .
Replace the transmitter battery as
soon as possible.
Retained power off The following electronic systems can
work up to ten minutes after the
engine is turned off
● Power windows
● Sunroof
● Audio system
The power windows and sunroof will
continue to work for up to ten minutes or until any door is opened. The radio
will work in ignition on power mode
and accessory power mode. Once
the ignition is turned off, the radio will
continue to work for ten minutes, or
until the driver's door is opened.

Vehicles with ignition switch
Turn key to position 1 to release the
steering wheel lock.
Manual transmission: depress clutch and brake pedal.
Automatic transmission: depress
brake pedal and move the selector
lever to P or N.
Do not depress the accelerator pedal.
Diesel engine: turn the key to position2 for preheating and wait until control
indicator ! extinguishes.
Turn the key briefly to position 3 and
release: an automatic procedure operates the starter with a short delay
as long as the engine is running, see
'Automatic Starter Control'.
Manual transmission: during an
Autostop, the engine can be restarted
by depressing the clutch pedal

Automatic transmission: during an
Autostop, the engine can be restarted
by releasing the brake pedal 3 138.
Vehicles with power button
Manual transmission: depress clutch
and brake pedal.
Automatic transmission: depress

Key lock release Some vehicles with an automatic
transmission are equipped with an
electronic key lock release system.
The key lock release is designed to
prevent ignition key removal unless
the selector lever is in P.

first gear or set the selector
lever to position P before
removing the ignition key. On
an uphill slope, turn the front
wheels away from the kerb.
If the vehicle is on a downhill
slope, engage reverse gear or
set the selector lever to position P before removing the ignition
key. Turn the front wheels
towards the kerb.
● Close the windows and the sunroof.
● Remove the ignition key from the ignition switch. For vehicles
with automatic transmission, the key can only be removed
when the selector lever is in
position P.
Turn the steering wheel until the steering wheel lock is felt to engage.
● Lock the vehicle.
● Activate the anti-theft alarm system.
Notice
In the event of an accident with
airbag deployment, the engine is
turned off automatically if the vehicle
comes to a standstill within a certain time.Engine exhaust9 Danger
Engine exhaust gases contain
poisonous carbon monoxide,
which is colourless and odourless and could be fatal if inhaled.
If exhaust gases enter the interior
of the vehicle, open the windows.
Have the cause of the fault
rectified by a workshop.
Avoid driving with an open load
compartment, otherwise exhaust
gases could enter the vehicle.

a flashing red LED stripe which is
projected on the windscreen in the
driver's field of view.
A precondition is that forward collision
alert is not deactivated by pressing
V on the steering wheel.
Activation
Forward collision alert uses the front
camera system in the windscreen to
detect a vehicle directly ahead, in your path, within a distance of approx.
60 metres.
Forward collision alert operates
automatically above 25 mph, if it is not deactivated by pressing V, see
below.
Alerting the driver
The vehicle ahead control indicator
A illuminates green in the instrument
cluster when the system has detected
a vehicle in the driving path.The control indicator A changes to
yellow when the distance to a
preceding moving vehicle gets too
small or when approaching another
vehicle too rapidly.Caution
The colour lighting of this control
indicator does not correspond to
local traffic laws on following
distance. The driver bears full
responsibility for maintaining safe
following distance according to
applicable traffic rules, weather
and road conditions etc. at all
times.
When the time to a potential collision
with a vehicle in front gets too small
and a collision is imminent, the driver
gets notified by a flashing red LED
stripe which is projected on the
windscreen in the driver's field of
view.
Simultaneously a warning chime
sounds. Depress the brake pedal and
steer the vehicle, if it is required by the
situation.
Selecting the alert sensitivity The alert sensitivity can be set to
near, medium or far.

permitted for Vauxhall Mokka and
tyres of these sizes. For further

The use of tyre chains is not permitted
on the temporary spare wheel.
Tyre repair kit
Minor damage to the tyre tread can be
repaired with the tyre repair kit.
Do not remove foreign bodies from
the tyres.
Tyre damage exceeding 4 mm or that is at tyre's sidewall cannot be repairedwith the tyre repair kit.9 Warning
Do not drive faster than 50 mph.
Do not use for a lengthy period.
Steering and handling may be
affected.
If you have a flat tyre:
Apply the parking brake and engage
first gear, reverse gear or P.
The tyre repair kit is located in the
right side of rear compartment.
1. Take the tyre repair kit from the compartment.
2. Remove the compressor.
3. Remove the electrical connection cable (1) and air hose (2) from the
stowage compartments on the
underside of the compressor.
