Night Vision
Using an infrared camera at the front of the
vehicle, the system identifies and signals the
presence of pedestrians and animals in the
driver’s field of vision, in low exterior light
conditions.
For the permanent display of the image from
the infrared camera in the instrument panel,
select the "Night Vision" display mode by
turning the knob located to the left of the
steering wheel. Once the conditions are met,
an alert is triggered when there is a risk of
collision. Night Vision is a driving aid system that
cannot, under any circumstances, replace
the personal assessment of night-time
visibility and traffic conditions.
In some conditions, the contrasts in
temperature are insufficient and the
system may not detect all dangers or,
conversely, it may give false warnings
(e.g. engines of lorries parked on the edge
of the road).
Conditions for operation
With the dipped or main beam headlamps on,
this function allows headlamps to illuminate
the inside of a bend using light-emitting diodes
(LEDs).
The speed of the vehicle must be less than 56
mph (90 km/h).
This function is only available with the "Full
LED" technology headlamps. If the "Night Vision" display mode has not been
selected, the alert is triggered in the form of a
temporary window displayed in the instrument
panel.
The function is available with the engine
running and in STOP mode of Stop & Start.
The light conditions must be very poor. The
dipped beam headlamps must be switched on
and maintained in good working order.
The temperature detection range is between
-30°C and +30°C.
The speed of the vehicle must be less than
99
mph (160 km/h).
The camera detection range is between 15
m
(for pedestrians) and 200
m, depending on
visibility conditions.

of use for the ser vice available from dealers
and subject to technological and technical
limitations.
"Peugeot Connect SOS" immediately locates
your vehicle and contacts you in your own
language**, and – if necessary – requests that
relevant emergency services be dispatched**.
In countries where the ser vice is not available,
or when the locating ser vice has been
expressly declined, the call is sent directly If an impact is detected by the airbag
control unit, an emergency call is made
automatically and independently of the
deployment of any airbags.
Operation of the system
When the ignition is switched on, the indicator
lamp comes on for 3 seconds indicating that the
system is operating correctly.
If the indicator lamp lights up continuously red:
there is a system fault.
If the indicator lamp flashes red: replace the
back-up battery.
In either case, emergency and assistance calls
may not function.
Contact a qualified repairer as soon as possible. to the emergency services (112) without the

Impact detection zones
A.Front impact zone.
B. Side impact zone.
The deployment of one or more airbags
is accompanied by a slight emission of
smoke and a noise, due to the detonation
of the pyrotechnic charge incorporated in
the system.
This smoke is not harmful, but sensitive
individuals may experience slight irritation.
The detonation noise associated with the
deployment of an airbag may result in a
slight loss of hearing for a short time.
Front airbags
System which protects the driver and front
passenger in the event of a serious front impact
in order to limit the risk of injury to the head and
chest.
The driver's airbag is fitted in the centre of the
steering wheel; the front passenger airbag is
fitted in the dashboard above the glove box.
Deployment
The airbags are deployed (except the front
passenger airbag if it is deactivated) in the
event of a serious frontal impact to all or part
of the frontal impact zone A , in the longitudinal
centreline of the vehicle on a horizontal plane
and directed from the front to the rear of the
vehicle.
Deactivating the front passenger
airbag
F With the ignition off , open the passenger
door and insert the key in the front
passenger airbag deactivation switch on the
side of the glovebox.
F
T
urn it to the " OFF" position.
F
R
emove the key keeping the switch in the
new position.
When the ignition is switched on,
this warning lamp comes on in the
seat belt warning lamps display
screen. It stays on while the airbag
is deactivated.
These front airbags are adaptive. In
particular, their hardness will decrease in
the presence of an occupant of shorter
height, with the seat adjusted to a for ward
longitudinal position. The front airbag inflates between the chest
and head of the front occupant of the vehicle
and the steering wheel, driver's side, and the
dashboard, passenger's side, to cushion their
for ward movement.
Safety
108
In the event of a minor impact or bump on
the side of the vehicle or if the vehicle rolls
over, the airbags may not be deployed.
In the event of a rear or front collision,
none of the lateral airbags are deployed.Advice
For the airbags to be fully effective,
observe the safety recommendations
below.
Adopt a normal and upright sitting
position.
Fasten your seat belt, ensuring it is
positioned correctly.
Do not leave anything between the
occupants and the airbags (a child, pet,
object, etc.), nor fix or attach anything
close to or in the way of the airbag release
trajectory; this could cause injuries during
their deployment.
Never modify the original definition of your
vehicle, particularly in the area directly
around the airbags.
After an accident or if the vehicle has
been stolen or broken into, have the
airbag systems checked.
All work on the airbag system must be
carried out by a PEUGEOT dealer or a
qualified workshop.
Even if all of the precautions mentioned
are obser ved, a risk of injury or of minor
burns to the head, chest or arms when an
airbag is deployed cannot be ruled out.
The airbag inflates almost instantly (within
a few milliseconds) then deflates within
the same time discharging the hot gas via
openings provided for this purpose.Front airbags
Do not drive holding the steering wheel
by its spokes or resting your hands on the
centre part of the wheel.
Passengers must not place their feet on
the dashboard.
Do not smoke as deployment of the
airbags can cause burns or the risk of
injury from a cigarette or pipe.
Never remove or pierce the steering wheel
or hit it violently.
Do not fix or attach anything to the
steering wheel or dashboard, this could
cause injuries with deployment of the
airbags.
Curtain airbags
Do not fix or attach anything to the roof,
as this could cause head injuries when the
curtain airbag is deployed.
If fitted to your vehicle, do not remove the
grab handles installed on the roof, they
play a part in securing the curtain airbags.
