continually recorded and evaluated electronically.
Depending on vehicle, the following

If equipped, a rating of 0 to 100 is
shown in the Infotainment system
display screen, to help evaluate fuel
efficiency, based on your driving
style.
Higher ratings indicate better fuel
economy.
Tips to improve fuel economy are also given in the display. Journeys can be
saved in the system memory,
enabling you to compare
performances. Refer to Infotainment
manual for further information.

When the engine is switched off, a record of the last journey may be
shown in the Infotainment system
display screen.

Interruption of power supply
If the power supply has been
interrupted or if the vehicle battery
voltage has dropped too low, the

Tail lights are illuminated together with low beam and sidelights.
Automatic light control

110LightingWhen the automatic light control
function is switched on and the
engine is running, the system
switches between daytime running
lights (where fitted) and headlights,
depending on the lighting conditions.
For reasons of safety, the light switch
should always remain in the AUTO
position.

Automatic headlight activation
During poor lighting conditions the
headlights are switched on.
Additionally, headlights are switched
on if the windscreen wipers have
been activated for several wipes.High beam
To change between low and high
beam, pull lever until a click is felt.
High beam assist This feature allows high beam to
function as the main driving light at
night and when vehicle speed is
faster than 45 km/h.
It switches to low beam when:
● The camera in the windscreen detects the lights of oncoming or
preceding vehicles.
● It is foggy or snowy.
● Driving in urban areas.
If there are no restrictions detected,
the system switches back to high
beam.
Activation
Turn the outer light switch to AUTO
then pull the turn signal lever to activate high beam assist.
The control indicator í illuminates
continuously in the instrument cluster when the assist is activated, while the
blue control indicator 7 3 102
illuminates when high beam is on.

holding the lever just before the
resistance point. Turn signal lights will
flash until lever is released.
To activate three flashes, tap the lever briefly without passing the
resistance point.
Front fog lights
Turn inner switch to position >

Rear fog lights
Turn inner switch to position ø and
release.
Rear fog lights operate with engine
running and headlights switched on.
Reversing lights
The reversing lights come on when
the ignition is on and reverse gear is
selected.
Misted light covers
The inside of the light covers may mist up briefly in poor, wet and cold
weather conditions, in heavy rain or
after washing. The mist disappears
quickly by itself; to help, switch on the
headlights.

Air conditioning system
Additional to the heating and
ventilation system, the air
conditioning system has controls for:

Cooling (A/C)
Press A/C to switch on cooling. The
LED in the button illuminates to
indicate activation. Cooling is only
functional when the engine is running
and climate control fan is switched on.
Press A/C again to switch off cooling.
The air conditioning system cools and
dehumidifies (dries) the air when
outside temperature is a little above
the freezing point. Therefore
condensation may form and drip from under the vehicle.
If no cooling or drying is required,
switch the cooling system off to save
fuel.
Note
If the climate control is set to
maximum cooling while the ambient temperature is high, an Autostop
may be inhibited until the required
temperature in the passenger
compartment has been reached.If the climate control is set to
maximum cooling while the engine is
in an Autostop, the engine may
restart automatically.

Air recirculation system Press u to activate air recirculation
mode. The LED in the button
illuminates to indicate activation.
Press u again to deactivate air
recirculation mode.9 Warning
The exchange of fresh air is
reduced in air recirculation mode.
In operation without cooling the air humidity increases, so the
windows may mist up. The quality
of the passenger compartment air
deteriorates, which may cause the vehicle occupants to feel drowsy.
Maximum cooling
Briefly open the windows so that hotair can disperse quickly.

The preselected temperature is
automatically regulated. In automatic
mode, the fan speed and air
distribution automatically regulate the
air flow.
The system can be manually adapted by use of air distribution and air flowcontrols.
The electronic climate control system
is only fully operational when the
engine is running.
For correct operation, do not cover
the sensor on the instrument panel.
