Cornering light function
Cornering light impr ove s th e illumination of th e
ro ad ove r a wide angle in th e turning direction,
enabling better visibility in tight bends, fo r ex am‐
ple. It can on ly be activated when low beam is
swit ch ed on.
The function is active: R
At speeds below 25 mp h (40 km/h) when
th e turn signal light is switched on or th e
st eering wheel is turned. R
At speeds between 25 mp h (40 km/h) and
45 mp h (70 km/h) when th e st eering wheel
is turned.
Tr af fi c circle and intersection function: th e
cornering light is acti va te d on bo th sides th ro ugh
an ev aluation of th e cur re nt GPS position of th e
ve hicle. It re mains active until af te r th e ve hicle
has left th e traf fi c circle or th e intersection.

Ad aptive Highbeam Assist does not re cog‐
nize th e fo llowing ro ad users:R
Ro ad users without lights, e.g. pedes‐
trians R
Ro ad users with poor lighting, e.g.
cyclists R
Ro ad users whose lighting is obstructed,
e.g. by a bar ri er On ve ry ra re occasions, Ad aptive Highbeam
Assist may fa il to re cognize ot her ro ad users
with th eir ow n lighting, or may re cognize
th em to o late.
In th ese or similar situations, th e automatic
high beam is not deactivated or is activated
despite th e presence of ot her ro ad users.

If no ot her ro ad users are de te cted, high
beam is au to matical ly switched on. High beam switches off automatically: R

If st re et lighting is suf fi cient.
At speeds abo ve appr ox . 31 mp h (50 km/h):R
The headla mp ra nge of low beam is re gulated
automatically based on th e dis ta nce to ot her
ro ad users.
The sy st em's optical sensor is located behind
th e windshield near th e ove rh ead control panel.

function are also fulfilled.

The spotlight function does not fl ash at animals.
The spotlight function is not active or is active
