This also applies tothe digital vehicle
ke y if the "Digital Vehicle Key" function
is activated via Mercedes me connect. The memory function can be used when
the igni‐
tion is switched off.
St oring
Seat adjustments for up tothre e people can be
st ored and called up using the memory function.
The following sy stems can be selected:
R Seat, backrest and head restra int
R Steering wheel
R Outside mir rors
R Head-up display #
Set the seat, thesteering wheel, the head-up
display and the outside mir rors to the
desired position. #
Press memory button M toge ther with one of
preset position buttons 1,2 or 3.
An acou stic signal sounds. The settings are
st ored. #
Tocall up: press and hold there leva nt pre‐
set position button 1,2 or 3 until the front seat,
thesteering wheel, head-up display and
outside mir ror are in thestored position. St

Combustion engines emit poisonous exhaust
ga ses such as carbon monoxide. Exhaust
ga ses can enter theve hicle interior if the
boot lid is open when the engine is running,
especially if theve hicle is in motion. #

opening the boot lid. #
Never drive with the boot lid open. &

If objects, luggage or loads are not secured

wa rds, e.g. during sudden braking or in the
ev ent of an accident.

pant would be forc ed into the seat belt by
th ere ar ben chseat/rear seat or bythe
seat backrest. The seat belt would not be
able toprov ide the intended pr otection
and could cause additional injur y.
R Objects or loads in the boot cann otbe
re stra ined bythe seat backrest. #
Make sure that the seat backrest and
th ere ar ben chseat/rear seat are
engaged before everytrip. Re
quirements:
R The rear seat backrest head restra ints are
fully inse rted.
If th e seat backrest is not engaged and loc ked,
th is will be shown on the multifunction display
on the instrument clus ter.

phone stowage compartment.
R Largemobile phones which do not rest flat in
th e mobile phone stowage compartment may
not be able tobe charge d or connec ted with
th eve hicle's exterior aerial.
R The mobile phone may heat up during the
ch arging process. This can also depend on
th e applications (apps) cur rently running.
R Toensure more ef ficient charging and con‐
nection with theve hicle's exterior aerial,
re mo vethe pr otective co ver from the mobile
phone. Pr otective co vers which are designed
fo r wireless charging are excluded.
R When charging, the mat should be used if

aptive Highbeam Assist Plus swit ches auto‐
matically between:
R Low beam
R Partial high beam
R High beam
R ULTRA RANGE Highbeam ULTRA RANGE Highbeam inc
reases the bright‐
ness of the cone of light tothe legally permitted
maximum.
Pa rtial high beam uses the main beam toshine
past other road users rath er than dazzling them.
The vehicle in front is illuminated bythe dipped
beam.
At speeds below 25 km/h or when there is suf fi‐
cient stre et lighting:
R The partial main beam and the main beam
switch off automaticall y.
At speeds abo ve30 km/h:
R If no other road users are de tected, the high
beam will be switched on automaticall y.
R Ifot her road users are de tected, the partial
high beam will be switched on automaticall y.
At speeds abo ve40 km/h:
R If no other road users are de tected on a
st ra ight road, ULTRA RANGE Highbeam is
automatically swit ched on.
R Ifot her road users are de tected, the partial
high beam will be switched on automaticall y.R
If highly reflective signs are de tected, ULTRA
RANGE Highbeam is au tomatically switched
off.
At speeds abo veappr oximately 50 km/h:
R The headlamp range of the low beam is regu‐
lated automatically based on the dis tance to
ot her road users.
The sy stem's optical sensor is located behind
th e windscreen near theove rhead control panel.

Hold the wiper arm with one hand. With the
ot her hand, turn the wiper blade in the direc‐
tion of ar row1away from the wiper arm as
fa r as it will go. #

in the direction of ar row4. Fi

nance display on the tip of the newly fitted
wiper blades.
If th e colour of the maintenance display changes
from black to yellow, the wiper blades should be
re placed.
% The duration until the colour changes varies

outside mir ror
The outside mir rors reflect objects on a
smaller scale. The objects in view are in fact
closer than they appear.
As a result, you may misjud gethe dis tance
between you and thero ad user driving
behind you, e.g. when changing lanes. #
Therefore, alw ays look over your shoul‐
der in order toensure that you are
aw are of the actual dis tance between
yo u and thero ad users driving behind
