The speedometer indicates the speed of the
vehicle.

The display mode can be changed from
odometer to trip meter A to trip meter B
and then back to odometer by pressing the
selector while one of them is displayed.
The selected mode will be displayed.

NOTE
When the ignition is switched to ACC or
off, the odometer or trip meters cannot be
displayed, however, pressing the selector
can inadvertently switch the trip meters or
reset them during an approximate
ten-minute period in the following cases:
•After the ignition is
switched to off from
ON.
•After the driver's door is opened.
Odometer
The odometer records the total distance
the vehicle has been driven.
Tr i p m e t e r
The trip meter can record the total distance
of two trips. One is r ecorded in trip meter
A, and the other is re corded in trip meter
B.
For instance, trip meter A can record the
distance from the point of origin, and trip
meter B can record the distance from
where the fuel tank is filled.
When trip meter A is s elected, pressing the
selector again within one second will
change to trip meter B mode.
When trip meter A is selected, TRIP A
will be displayed. Wh en trip meter B is
selected, TRIP B will be displayed.
The trip meter records the total distance
the vehicle is driven until the meter is
again reset. Return it to “0.0” by
depressing and holding the selector for one
second or more. Use this meter to measure
trip distances and to compute fuel
consumption.

The odometer is constantly displayed on
the screen when the
ignition is switched
ON, and the TRIP A or TRIP B screen can
be displayed by operating the INFO
switch.

The odometer records the total distance
the vehicle has been driven.

The driving distance for a specified
interval is indicated . Two types (TRIP A,
TRIP B) of interva l distance and the
average fuel economy for each can be
measured.
For instance, trip meter A can record the
distance from the point of origin, and trip
meter B can record the distance from
where the fuel tank is filled.
When trip meter A is selected, TRIP A
will be displayed. Wh en trip meter B is
selected, TRIP B will be displayed.
The trip meter and average fuel economy
can be reset by pressi ng the INFO switch
for 1.5 second or more while in each
mode.
NOTE
•Only the trip meters record tenths of
kilometers (miles).
•The trip record will be erased when:
•The power supply is interrupted
(blown fuse or the battery is
disconnected).
•The vehicle is driven over 9999.9 km
(mile).
▼ Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge
Displays the engine coolant temperature.
The blue gauge indicates that the engine
coolant temperature is low, and the red
gauge indicates that the engine coolant
temperature is high and overheating.

7. California Civil Code Section 1793.2 (d) requires that, if Mazda or its representative is
unable to repair a new motor vehi cle to conform to the vehicle's applicable express
warranty after a reasonable number of attempts, Mazda may be re quired to replace or
repurchase the vehicle. California Civil Code Section 1793.22 ( b) creates a presumption
that Mazda has had a reasonable number of attempts to conform t he vehicle to its
applicable express warranties if, within 18 months from deliver y to the buyer or 18,000
miles on the vehicle's odometer, whichever occurs first, one or more of the following
occurs:
•The same nonconformity [a failur e to conform to the written warranty that
substantially impairs the use, value or safety of the vehicle] results in a condition that
is likely to cause death or serious bodily injury if the vehicl e is driven AND the
nonconformity has been subject to repair two or more times by M azda or its agents
AND the buyer or lessee has directly notified Mazda of the need fo r the repair of the
nonconformity; OR
•The same nonconformity has been subject to repair 4 or more tim es by Mazda or its
agents AND the buyer has notified Mazda of the need for the repair of the
nonconformity; OR
•The vehicle is out of service by reason of repair of nonconform ities by Mazda or its
agents for a cumulative total of more than 30 calendar days aft er delivery of the
vehicle to the buyer.

Mazda or any other general service transactions are most effect ively resolved by your
dealer. If the cause of your dissatisfaction cannot adequately be addressed by normal
dealership procedures, we recommend that you take the following steps:
