NOTE
Each tyre pressure sensor has a unique ID
signal code. The signal code must be
registered with the TPMS before it can
work. The easiest way to do it is to have
an Authorised Mazda Dealer change your
tyre and complete ID signal code
registration.

NOTE
If the vehicle is driven within about 15
minutes of changing tyres, the tyre
pressure monitoring system warning light
will flash because the sensor ID signal
code would not have been registered. If
this happens, park the vehicle for about 15
minutes, after which the sensor ID signal
code will register upon driving the vehicle
for 10 minutes.

¾When replacing/repairing the tyres or
wheels or both, have the work done by
an Authorised Mazda Dealer, or the tyre
pressure sensors may be damaged.
¾The wheels equipped on your Mazda are
specially designed for installation of the
tyre pressure sensors. Do not use
non-genuine wheels, otherwise it may
not be possible to install the tyre pressure
sensors.

must be registered when a new tyre
pressure sensor is purchased. For
purchase of a tyre pressure sensor and
registration of the tyre pressure sensor
ID signal code, consult an Authorised
Mazda Dealer.
xWhen reinstalling a previously removed
tyre pressure sensor to a wheel, replace
the grommet (seal between valve body/
sensor and wheel) for the tyre pressure
sensor.

xThe displayable range varies depending on the vehicle and road conditions.
xThe displayable range is limited. Objects under the bumper or around the bumper ends
cannot be displayed.
xThe distance appearing in the displayed image is different from the actual distance
because the rear view parking camera is equipped with a specific lens.
xImages displayed on the monitor from the rear view parking camera are reversed images
(mirror images).
xSome optionally installed vehicle accessories may be picked up by the camera. Do not
install any optional parts that can interfere with the camera view, such as illuminating
parts or parts made of reflective material.

Do not rely completely on the parking sensor system and be sure to confirm the safety around
your vehicle visually when driving:
This system can assist the driver in operating the vehicle in the forward and backward
directions while parking. The detection ranges of the sensors are limited, therefore, driving the
vehicle while relying only on the system may cause an accident. Always confirm the safety
around your vehicle visually when driving.
NOTE
xDo not install any accessories within the detection ranges of the sensors. It may affect the
system operation.

xDepending on the type of obstruction and the surrounding conditions, the detection range
of a sensor may narrow, or the sensors may not be able to detect obstructions.
xThe system may not operate normally under the following conditions:
xMud, ice, or snow is adhering to the sensor area (Returns to normal operation when
removed).
xThe sensor area is frozen (Returns to normal operation when the ice is thawed).
xThe sensor is covered by a hand.
xThe sensor is excessively shocked.
xThe vehicle is excessively tilted.
xUnder extremely hot or cold weather conditions.
xThe vehicle is driven on bumps, inclines, gravel, or grass covered roads.
xAnything which generates ultrasound is near the vehicle, such as another vehicle's
horn, the engine sound of a motorcycle, the air brake sound of a large-sized vehicle, or
another vehicle's sensors.
xThe vehicle is driven in heavy rain or in road conditions causing water-splash.
xA commercially-available wing pole or an aerial for a radio transmitter is installed to
the vehicle.
xThe vehicle is moving towards a tall or square curbstone.
xAn obstruction is too close to the sensor.
xObstructions under the bumper may not be detected. Obstructions that are lower than the
bumper or thin which may have been initially detected may no longer be detected as the
vehicle approaches more closely to the obstruction.
xThe following types of obstructions may not be detected:
xThin objects such as wire or rope
xThings which absorb sonic waves easily such as cotton or snow
xAngular shaped objects
xVery tall objects, and those which are wide at the top
xSmall, short objects
xAlways have the system inspected at an expert repairer, we recommend an Authorised
Mazda Repairer if any shock is applied to the bumpers, even in a minor accident. If the
sensors are deviated, they cannot detect obstructions.
xThe system may have a malfunction if the beep does not operate or the indicator light
does not illuminate when the park assist sensors switch is turned on. Consult an expert
repairer, we recommend an Authorised Mazda Repairer.
xThe system may have a malfunction if the beep sound which indicates a system
malfunction is heard and the indicator light flashes. Consult an expert repairer, we
recommend an Authorised Mazda Repairer.
xThe beeper which indicates a system malfunction may not be heard if the ambient
temperature is extremely cold, or mud, ice, or snow adheres to the sensor area. Remove
any foreign material from the sensor area.
