When trouble arises
■Warning buzzer
In some cases, the buzzer may not be heard because of noisy place or an audio sound.
■Customization
The vehicle speed linked seat belt reminder buzzer can be disabled.

WARNING
■If both the ABS and the brake sy stem warning lights remain on
Stop your vehicle in a safe place immediat ely and contact your Lexus dealer. The vehi-
cle will become extremely unstable during br aking, and the ABS system may fail, which
could cause an accident resultin g in death or serious injury.
■When the electric power steering system warning light comes on
The steering wheel may become extremely heavy.
If the steering wheel becomes heavier than usual when operating, hold firmly and oper-
ate using more force than usual.
■If the tire pressure warning light comes on
Be sure to observe the following precaution s. Failure to do so could cause a loss of
vehicle control and result in death or serious injury.
●Stop your vehicle in a safe place as soon as possible. Adjust the tire inflation pressure
immediately.
●If the tire pressure warning light comes on even after tire inflation pressure adjust-
ment, it is probable that you have a flat tire . Check the tires. If a tire is flat, change it
with the spare tire and have the flat tire repaired by the nearest Lexus dealer.
●Avoid abrupt maneuvering and braking. If the vehicle tires deteriorate, you could lose
control of the steering wheel or the brakes.
■If a blowout or sudden air leakage should occur
The tire pressure warning system may not activate immediately.

(while the LKA [Lane-Keeping Assist] system is operat-

flashes in amber.

display (the image flashes).

→ Check around the vehicle and back to inside of the
lane lines.

→ Close all doors and fasten the front passenger’s seat
belt before releasin g the parking brake.

position in any position other than P

Indicates that the vehicle is being driven at 3 mph (5 km/h)
or more with the parking brake still engaged. A buzzer also sounds.
→ Release the parking brake.
Indicates that the parking brake is engaged with the shift
position not in P
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Change the shift position to P.
Indicates a malfunction in the brake hold system
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Depress the brake pedal to turn off the brake hold
system.
Have the vehicle inspecte d by your Lexus dealer
immediately.
Indicates that the brake hold system is turned on while on
a steep slope A buzzer also sounds.
→ Do not use only the brake hold system on steep
slopes. Be sure to also depress the brake pedal.

→ Press the parking brake switch. If the warning mes-
sage is still displayed, have the vehicle inspected by
your Lexus dealer.
Indicates an attempt was made to release the parking
brake without depressing the brake pedal
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Release the parking brake while depressing the
brake pedal.
Indicates that the shift position was changed and Drive-
Start Control was operated while depressing the accel-
erator pedal A buzzer also sounds.
→ Momentarily release the accelerator pedal.
Indicates an attempt was made to shift to 1st gear with
the shift position in M while on a slippery surface
The vehicle will not shift down from 2nd gear.

Indicates that the LKA (Lane- Keeping Assist) system has
determined that the driver does not have their hands on
the steering wheel while the steering control function is
on If the driver operates the steering wheel only a small
amount, the system may be unable to detect the steer-
ing wheel operations and this warning may be dis-
played.
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Firmly hold the steering wheel.
(If equipped)
Indicates that steering control function is temporarily
canceled due to the LKA (Lane-Keeping Assist) system
determining that the driver does not have their hands on
the steering wheel while the steering control function is
on
If the driver operates the steering wheel only a small
amount, the system may be unable to detect the steer-
ing wheel operations and this warning may be dis-
played.
→ Firmly hold the steering wheel.
Indicates that the parking brake system is overheating

→ Do not use the parking brake until the message dis-
