Removing and storing the
spare tire
Your spare tire is stored underneath
your vehicle, directly below the cargo
area.
To remove the spare tire:
1. Open the tailgate.
2. Find the spare tire fixing bolt coverand remove the cover (1).
If necessary, separate the tool
case only after removing the
clamp (2). 3. Connect the socket and wheel lug
nut wrench.
4. Use the wheel lug nut wrench to loosen the bolt enough to lower
the spare tire.
Turn the wrench counterclockwise until the spare tire reaches the
ground.
WARNING
- Running vehicle on jack
Do not start or run the engine of
the vehicle while the vehicle is
on the jack as this may cause
the vehicle to fall off the jack.

clothing while working under
the hood of your vehicle with
the engine running. These can
become entangled in moving
parts, if you must run the engine
while working under the hood,
make certain that you remove
all jewelry (especially rings,
bracelets, watches, and neck-
laces) and all neckties, scarves,
and similar loose clothing
before getting near the engine
or cooling fans.
