CAUTION
-When downshifting from 5(Fifth) gear to 4 (Fourth) gear,caution should be taken not toinadvertently move the shift lev‐er sideways in such a mannerthat second gear is engaged.Such a drastic downshift maycause the engine speed to in‐crease to the point that thetachometer will enter the red-zone. Such over-revving of theengine may possibly cause en‐gine and transaxle damage.
-Do not downshift more than 2gears or downshift the gearwhen the engine is running athigh speed (5,000 RPM or high‐er). Such a downshifting maydamage the engine, clutch andthe transaxle.
-When shifting between 5th and6th gear, you should alwayspush the gear level all the wayto the right. You could otherwiseshift unintentionally into 3rd or4th gear and damage the trans‐axle.

•Do not use the shift lever as ahandrest during driving, as this canresult in premature wear of thetransaxle shift forks.
