WARNING
Be sure the ignition key is in the OFF or
LOCK position before servicing drive belt.
The engine could rotate unexpectedly.1. Visually inspect the belt for signs of un- usual wear, cuts, fraying or looseness. If
the belt is in poor condition or is loose,
have it replaced or adjusted. It is recom-
mended that you visit an INFINITI re-
tailer for this service. 2. Have the belt checked regularly for con-
dition and tension in accordance with
the maintenance schedule found in your
"Maintenance and schedules" section of
this manual.
REPLACING SPARK PLUGS
Iridium-tipped spark plugs
It is not necessary to replace iridium-tipped
Aspark plugs as frequently as conventional
type spark plugs because they last much lon-
ger. Follow the maintenance log shown in the
"Maintenance and schedules" section of this
manual. Do not service iridium-tipped spark
plugs by cleaning or regapping.
∙ Always replace spark plugs with recom-
mended or equivalent ones.

NOTE:
Maintenance items with “” should be performed more frequently according to “Maintenance under severe driving conditions”.
(1) If towing a trailer, using a camper or a car-top carrier or driving on rough or muddy roads, inspect CVT fluid deterioration every
60,000 miles (96,000 km), then change CVT fluid if necessary. And if the inspection is not performed, change (not just inspect) CVT fluid
every 60,000 miles (96,000 km). It is recommended that you visit an INFINITI retailer for this service.
(2) If towing a trailer, using a camper or a car-top, or driving on rough or muddy roads, change (not just inspect) oil at every 20,000 miles
(32,000 km) or 24 months.
(3) For additional information on tire rotation, refer to “General maintenance” in this section.
