Low Fuel Level Warning
Light
This warning light illuminates:
When the fuel tank is nearly empty.
If the fuel tank is nearly empty:
Add fuel as soon as possible.
Low Tire PressureWarning Light
This warning light illuminates:
Once you set the ignition switch or Engine Start/Stop Button to the ON
position.
- It illuminates for approximately 3seconds and then goes off.
When one or more of your tires are significantly underinflated.
For more details, refer to "Tire
Pressure Monitoring System
(TPMS)" in chapter 6. This warning light remains on after
blinking for approximately 60 seconds
or repeats blinking and off at the
intervals of approximately 3 seconds:
When there is a malfunction with
the TPMS.
In this case, have your vehicle
inspected by an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer as soon as possi-
ble.

WARNING - Low tire pressure
Significantly low tire pressure makes the vehicle unstable
and can contribute to loss of
vehicle control and increased
braking distances.
Continued driving or low pressure tires will cause the
tires to overheat and fail.
CAUTION - Low Fuel
Level
Driving with the Low Fuel Levelwarning light on or with the fuellevel below "E" can cause theengine to misfire and damagethe catalytic converter (ifequipped).

This warning light illuminates:

WARNING - Safe Stopping
The TPMS cannot alert you to severe and sudden tire dam-
age caused by external fac-
tors.
If you notice any vehicle insta- bility, immediately take your
foot off the accelerator pedal,
apply the brakes gradually
with light force, and slowly
move to a safe position off the
road.

Adaptive Front Lighting
System (AFLS) WarningLight (if equipped)
This warning light blinks:
When there is a malfunction with the AFLS.
If there is a malfunction with the AFLS:
1. Drive carefully to the nearest safe location and stop your vehicle.
2. Turn the engine off and restart the engine. If the warning light
remains on, you have the vehicle

This indicator light illuminates:

This indicator light illuminates:

When you deactivate the ESC sys- tem by pressing the ESC OFF but-
ton.

When the vehicle can not detect
the smart key which is in the vehi-
cle while the Engine Start/Stop
Button is ON.

When the battery of the smart key is weak.
- At this time, you can not start theengine. However, you can start
the engine if you press the Engine
Start/Stop Button with the smart
key. (For more details, refer to

Light
This indicator light blinks:
When using the turn signals.
If any of the following occurs, there
may be a malfunction with the turn
signal system. In this case, have your

HYUNDAI dealer.
- The indicator light does not blink but illuminates.
- The indicator light blinks more rap- idly.
- The indicator light does not illumi- nate at all.
High Beam Indicator
Light
This indicator light illuminates:
When the headlights are on and in the high beam position
When the turn signal lever is pulled into the Flash-to-Pass position.
Smart High Beam indi-
cator (if equipped)
This warning light illuminates :
When the high-Beam is on with the light switch in the AUTO light posi-
tion.
If your vehicle detects oncoming or preceding vehicles, the Smart High
Beam system will switch the high
beam to low beam automatically.

This warning light blinks:
When the DBC is operating. This warning light illuminates yellow:

HAZARD WARNING FLASHER
The hazard warning flasher should
be used whenever you find it neces-
sary to stop the car in a hazardous
location. When you must make such
an emergency stop, always pull off
the road as far as possible.
The hazard warning lights are turned
on by pushing in the hazard switch.
This causes all turn signal lights to
blink. The hazard warning lights will
operate even though the key is not in
the ignition switch.
To turn the hazard warning lights off,
push the switch a second time.

Headlight position ( )
When the light switch is in the head-
light position, the head, tail, license
and instrument panel lights will turn
on.
✽ ✽NOTICE
The ignition switch must be in the
ON position to turn on the head-
lights.
High beam operation
To turn on the high beam headlamp,
push the lever away from you.
The lever will return to its original
position.
The high beam indicator will light
when the headlight high beams are
switched on.
To prevent the battery from being
discharged, do not leave the lights
on for a prolonged time while the
engine is not running.

Warning light and message
When the Smart High Beam Assist
System is not working properly, the
warning message will come on for a
few seconds.After the message disappears, the
master warning light will illuminate.
Take your vehicle to an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer and have the sys-
tem checked.
CAUTION
The system may not operate
normally in the following condi-tions :
When lights from an on-com- ing vehicle is not detectedbecause of lamp damage, thelight is blocked, etc.
When the lights of the on- coming vehicle are coveredwith dust, snow or water.
When the lights from an on- coming is not detectedbecause of smoke, fog, snow,etc.
When the front window is cov- ered with foreign matter suchas ice, dust, fog, or is dam-aged.
In poor visibility due to fog, heavy rain or snow.
When headlamp aiming is not properly adjusted.
When driving on a narrow curved road or rough road.
