CHANGING THE ENGINE AIR
FILTER
WARNING
To reduce the risk of vehicle damageand personal burn injuries, do notstart your engine with the air cleanerremoved and do not remove it while theengine is running.
Change the air filter element at the correctinterval. Only use the specifiedreplacement air filter. Incorrectcomponent use can cause damage notcovered by the vehicle Warranty.
When changing the engine air filter, do notallow debris or foreign material to enterthe air induction system. The engine andturbocharger are susceptible to damagefrom even small particles.
To replace the air filter element do thefollowing:
1.Remove the screws that secure the airfilter housing cover.
2.Remove the air filter housing cover.
3.Remove the air filter element from theair filter housing.
