prepared with the assistance of service and engineering
specialists to acquaint you with the operation and mainte-
nance of your vehicle. It is supplemented by Warranty
Information, and customer oriented documents. In the
attached Warranty Booklet, you will find a description of
the services that FCA offers to its customers, the Warranty
Certificate and the details of the terms and conditions for
maintaining its validity. Please take the time to read all of
these publications carefully before driving your vehicle for
the first time. Following the instructions, recommenda-
tions, tips, and important warnings in this manual will
help assure safe and enjoyable operation of your vehicle.
Be sure you are familiar with all vehicle controls, particu-
larly those used for braking, steering, transmission, and
transfer case shifting (if equipped). Learn how your vehicle
handles on different road surfaces. Your driving skills will
improve with experience. This Owner ’s Manual describes all versions of this vehicle.
Options and equipment dedicated to specific markets or
versions are not expressly indicated in the text. Therefore,
you should only consider the information which is related
to the trim level, engine, and version that you have
purchased. Any content introduced throughout the Own-
er ’s Information, that may or may not be applicable to your
vehicle, will be identified with the wording “If Equipped”.
All data contained in this publication are intended to help
you use your vehicle in the best possible way. FCA aims at

General Information
The following regulatory statement applies to all radio
frequency (RF) devices equipped in this vehicle:
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules and
with Industry Canada license-exempt RSS standard(s).
Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
1. This device may not cause harmful interference, and
2. This device must accept any interference received, includ-
ing interference that may cause undesired operation.
NOTE: Changes or modifications not expressly approved
by the party responsible for compliance could void the
user ’s authority to operate the equipment.
VEHICLE SECURITY ALARM
The vehicle security alarm monitors the vehicle doors for
unauthorized entry and the ignition switch for unauthorized
operation. While the vehicle security alarm is armed, interior
switches for door locks and liftgate release are disabled. If
something triggers the alarm, the vehicle security alarm will
provide the following audible and visible signals: the horn
will pulse, the park lamps and/or turn signals will flash, and
the vehicle security light on the instrument panel will flash. To Arm The System
1. Remove the key from the ignition switch and get out of
the vehicle.
2. Lock the door using either the Central Lock/Unlock
switch or the Remote Keyless Entry key fob and close all
doors.
3. The horn will sound and the vehicle security light in the
instrument cluster will switch on for approximately
three seconds. This shows that the vehicle security
alarm is about to arm. During this period, if a door is
opened, the ignition switch is turned to ON/RUN, or
the power door locks are unlocked in any manner, the
vehicle security alarm will automatically disarm. After
approximately three seconds, the vehicle security light
will flash. This shows that the vehicle security alarm is
fully armed.
The activation of the vehicle security alarm is followed by
a self-diagnosis stage. If a fault is detected during the
self-diagnosis stage, the horn will sound a second time.
If the horn sounds a second time, check that all doors, hood
and liftgate are closed correctly, then rearm the system.22 GETTING TO KNOW YOUR VEHICLE

Turn Signals
Push the multifunction lever upward to signal a right turn
or downward to signal a left turn. The corresponding
indicator in the instrument cluster display will blink to
indicate the operation of the turn signal.
NOTE: The indicators will automatically turn off when the
turn has been completed and the steering wheel is returned
to a straight position. Lane Change Assist
Tap the lever up or down once, without moving beyond
the detent, and the turn signal (right or left) will flash three
times. Then, the turn signal (right or left) will automatically
turn off.
INTERIOR LIGHTS
The interior light switches are located in the overhead
console. The interior lights can be set to three different
positions (Off/Left Position, Center Position, On/Right
Position).
Using the switch on the left overhead, push the switch to
the right from its center position and the lights are always
on. Push the switch to the left from its center position and
the lights are always off. Leave the switch in the center
position, and the lights are turned on and off when the
doors are opened or closed. The switch on the right side of
the overhead console controls the map or reading function
of the lights. Push the switch to the right to turn on the
right light and push the switch to the left to turn on the left

WIPERS AND WASHERS
The windshield wiper/washer lever is located on the right
side of the steering column.
NOTE: The windshield wipers/washers will only operate
with the ignition in the ON/RUN position.
Front Windshield Wiper Operation
There are four different modes of operation for the front
windshield wipers. The windshield wiper lever can be
raised or lowered to access these modes: Low Speed
Push the lever downward to the second detent. The wipers
will operate at low speed.
High Speed
Push the lever downward to the third detent. The wipers
will operate at high speed.
Windshield Wiper Off
This is the normal position of the wiper lever.
Intermittent Wiper Operation
Push the lever downward to the first detent. The wipers
will operate intermittently.
NOTE: The Intermittent function only has one detent, but
wiper delay will vary with changes in vehicle speed. As
vehicle speed increases, the delay time will decrease.
Front Windshield Washer Operation
Pull the windshield wiper/washer lever toward the steer-
ing wheel to activate the washers. The wipers will activate

Air is directed through the floor, defrost, and side window demister outlets. This setting works
best in cold or snowy conditions that require extra heat to the windshield. This setting is good
for maintaining comfort while reducing moisture on the windshield.
Front Defrost
Mode Front Defrost Mode
Turn the knob clockwise to change the current airflow setting to Defrost mode. Air comes from
the windshield and side window demist outlets. When the defrost button is selected, the blower
level increases. Use Defrost mode with maximum temperature settings for best windshield and
side window defrosting and defogging.
Rear Defrost
Button Rear Defrost Button
Push and release the Rear Defrost Control button to turn on the rear window defroster and the
heated outside mirrors (if equipped). An indicator illuminates when the rear window defroster
is on. The rear window defroster automatically turns off after a short period of time. 3GETTING TO KNOW YOUR VEHICLE 47

Push and release to change the current airflow setting to Defrost mode. The indicator illumi-
nates when this feature is ON. Air comes from the windshield and side window demist outlets.
When the defrost button is selected, the blower level will increase. Use Defrost mode with
maximum temperature settings for best windshield and side window defrosting and defogging.
Performing this function will cause the ATC to switch into manual mode. If the front defrost
mode is turned off then the climate system returns the previous setting.
Rear Defrost
Button Rear Defrost Button — If Equipped
Push and release the Rear Defrost Control button to turn on the rear window defroster and the
heated outside mirrors (if equipped). An indicator illuminates when the rear window defroster
is on. The rear window defroster automatically turns off after a short period of time.
Blower Control Up And Down Buttons
Provides the occupants with blower control. Push the UP button to increase blower speed. Push

5. Briefly push and release the MENU button to store the
new setting and go back to the previously selected
submenu option.
6. Push and hold the MENU button to return to the main
menu (short hold) or the main screen (longer hold).
Oil Change Reset
Your vehicle is equipped with an engine oil change indi-
cator system. The “Change Engine Oil” message will
appear in the instrument cluster display for approximately
5 seconds after a single chime has sounded to indicate the
next scheduled oil change interval. The engine oil change
indicator system is duty cycle based, which means the
engine oil change interval may fluctuate, dependent upon
your personal driving style.
Unless reset, this message will continue to display each
time the ignition is placed in the MAR (ACC/ON/RUN)
position. To turn off the message temporarily, push and
release the MENU button. To reset the oil change indicator
system (after performing the scheduled maintenance), refer
to the following procedure.
1. Place the ignition in the MAR (ACC/ON/RUN) posi-
tion. (Do not start the engine.) 2. Fully push the accelerator pedal slowly, three times
within 10 seconds.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
NOTE: If the indicator message illuminates when you
start the vehicle, the oil change indicator system did not
reset. If necessary, repeat this procedure.
TRIP COMPUTER
The Trip Computer is located in the instrument cluster. It
displays trip information such as: trip information, range,
fuel consumption, average speed, and travel time.
Trip Button
The TRIP button, located on the right steering column
stalk, can be used to display and to reset the previously
described values.
• A short button push displays the different values.
• A long button push resets the system and starts a new
trip.
Trip Functions
