Changing the battery
In the event of a fault with the remote control, y
ou can no longer unlock, lock or locate
y
our vehicle.

irst of all, use the key in the lock to unlock
o
r lock your vehicle.
F

hen, reinitialise the remote control.
Fault with the remote

F Switch off the ignition and remove the ig
nition k ey.

ress the closed padlock immediately for a

ew seconds.

urn the key to position 2 (Ignition on).

witch off the ignition and remove the key

rom the ignition switch.

remote control is fully operational again.Battery
ref.: CR2032 / 3 volts.

emove the flat battery from its location.

Secondary control
Driver's door (locking/unlocking)
Insert the key in the lock to lock or unlock the door.
For
mechanically locking and unlocking the
d
oors in the event of a fault with the central
locking system or a battery failure.
Front and rear passenger doors
Locking
In the event of a fault with the central
locking
system,
it
is
essential
to
d
isconnect
the
battery
to
lock
the
boot
a
nd
so
ensure
complete
locking
of
the
v
ehicle.
On the rear doors, check that the child
l
ock is not on.

emove the black cap located on the edge
o
f the door, using the key.
F
I
nsert the key into the aperture without
f
orcing, then without turning, move the
l
atch sideways towards the inside of the
d o o r.

emove the key and refit the cap.
Unlocking

ull the interior door opening control lever.

Starting
The parking brake must be applied.

ith
a manual gearbox, place the gear
l
ever in neutral then depress the clutch
pedal
f
ully.

an electronic gearbox, place the

ontrol at N then press the brake pedal

i r m l y.

nsert
the key into the ignition switch; the
s
ystem recognises the code.
F
U
nlock the steering column by simultaneously
t
urning the steering and the key.
In
certain cases, you may have to apply
m
ore force to the steering (wheels on
f
ull
lock, for example).

W
ith
a petrol engine, operate the starter
m
otor
by turning the key to position 3
without
pressing the accelerator pedal,
u
ntil
the engine starts. Once the engine is
r
unning, release the key.
Starting-switching off the engine
It has 3 positions:
- position 1 (Stop):
insert and removing
the
key,
-
position 2 (Ignition on) :
steering column
u
nlocked, ignition on, Diesel preheating,
e
ngine
r
unning,
-
position 3 (Starting) .
Ignition switch
Switching off the engine leads to a loss o
f braking assistance.
Ignition on position (2)
It allows the use of the vehicle's electric equipment or portable devices to be charged.
Once
the state of charge of the battery drops
t
o the reserve level, the system switches to
e
nergy economy mode: the power supply is
c
ut off automatically to preserve the remaining
b
attery charge.
Avoid
attaching heavy objects to the
k
ey, which would weigh down on its
b
lade in the ignition switch and could
c
ause a malfunction.
It
could adversely affect the deployment
o
f the front airbag.

Do not force the lever as locking will not be possible if the clamp is not
p
ositioned correctly; start the procedure

ain.
Quick release terminal
Disconnecting the (+) terminal
F Raise the lever A fully to release the clamp B.
The
Stop & Start system may not be
o
perational during the trip following the
f
irst engine start.
In
this case, the system will only be
a
vailable again after a continuous
p
eriod of immobilisation of the vehicle,
a
period which depends on the ambient
t
emperature and the state of charge of
t
he battery (up to about 8 hours).
It
is
recommended
that
the
battery
be
d
isconnected if the vehicle is not to be used
for
a
very
long
period,
so
as
to
maintain
an
a
dequate
state
of
charge
for
starting
the
e
ngine.
Before
disconnecting
the
battery:

lose
all
openings
(doors,
boot,
windows,
r
oof),
F
s
witch
off
all
electrical
consumers
(audio
s
ystem,
wipers,
lighting...),
F
s
witch
off
the
ignition
and
then
wait
f
our minutes.
At
the
battery,
simply
detach
the
(+)
terminal.
Disconnecting the battery
Following reconnection of the battery, switch on t
he ignition and wait 1 minute before starting to
p
ermit initialisation of the electronic systems.

qualified

orkshop.

the positive post (+) of the battery.
