Distance display and distance warning
Applies to: vehicles with Audi adaptive cruise control
This function measures the time between the ve­
hicle driving ahead and shows this in the instru­
ment cluster display.

At speeds above app roximately 40 mph (65 km/
h), this function measures the distance to the ve­
hicle ahead as time .
• Switch the adaptive cruise contro l display on in
the instrument cluster

The. indicator light turns on if you fall below
the set distance.
Setting the wa rning threshold
You can set, change or de lete the warning
threshold in the Infotainment system .

dirty or covered in ice. Clean this area on the
windshield.
-The camera field of view is fogged over. Wait until the fog has cleared before switching the
active lane assist on again.
-The system has been unable to detect the lanes
for an extended period of time due to road con­
ditions. Switch active lane assist back on when
the lines are more visible .

Activating rear cros s-traffic assist
The rear cross- traffic assist is ac tivated a utomat i­
cally if you t urn on the pa rking aid
¢ page 143 or
shift into reverse gear.
The rea r cross- traffic assist can warn t he drive r of
a potential collis ion with approaching cross-traf­
f ic when driving in reverse at speeds up to ap­
proximately 7 mph ( 12 km/h). Within its limits,
the system monitors the areas behind and next
to the veh icle using the radar sensors when leav­
ing a parking space

If the system detects cr itical cross traffic when
backing out of a parking space, it will react as fol­
lows:

- Visual indicator : an indicator appears in the In ­

-Audible warning signal : a continuous tone may
sound as an addit ional indicator when dr iving in
reverse.
- Automat ic brake acti vation : a brief activation
of the brakes may also warn you of a potent ial
collision w ith an approaching object.
The audib le warning signal and the automatic
bra ke activation occur only when driv ing in re ­
verse.
A WARNING
-- The rear cross-traffic assist is an assist sys­
tem and cannot prevent a co llision by itself .
The drive r must always intervene . T he d river
is always respons ible for b raking at the cor­
rect t ime.
- Please note that the rear cross-traff ic assist
may activate the b rakes unexpe cted ly. Se­
cure a ny cargo th at you are transpor ting to
redu ce t he risk of damage or i njury.
- An add itiona l brake activation may be t rig­
ge red w ith in 10 seconds after an automatic
b rake activation.
- I f the re is an acoustic wa rn ing s ignal from
the rea r cross-traffic ass ist, t hen the p ark­
ing sys tem may not warn you of detected
obstacles under certain circumstances.
- The v iew o f the radar sensors may be im­
pa ired by leaves, s now, heavy sp ray or dirt.

A WARNING

-The rear cross -traffic assist will not provide
alerts if your vehicle is pulled too far into
the parking space so that it is hidden by ad­
jacent vehicles.
- The rear cross-traffic assist will not provide

about every type of approaching objects,
such as cyclists. Always monitor the t raff ic
as we ll as the vehicle's sur roundi ngs wit h di-
re ct eye contact .

Requirements
-An authorized Audi dealer must complete a
one-time activation of Audi connect e-tron serv­
i ces for your veh icle before you can reg ister on­
line .
- Then register at etron.audiusa .com . You can
use and manage the Audi connect e-tron serv­
ices there .
- If you require assistance w ith your Aud i connect
e-tron services, please contact an authorized
Audi dealer or authorized Audi Service Facility.
- Your mobile devices must be compatible .

Audi connect e-tron services
Trip data
Applies to: vehicles with Audi connect e-tron services
The Driver Information System collects data un­
der certain conditions and sends it to a server.
When data is stored, you can access values such
as these using the service:
- driving durat ion,
- average speed driven,
- distance driven,
- average electric consumption.
Doors and lights
Applies to: vehicles with Audi connect e-tron services
You can access and disp lay the current status of
the following vehicle data on your mobile devices
without having to be inside the vehicle.
- If the vehicle doors and lids are open/closed,
- Parking lights are on/off.
For additional information on opening and clos­
i ng the doors or for the vehicle lighting, refer to
¢ page 31, Opening and closing or to ¢ page 49,
Exterior lighting.
(D Tips
-If the high-voltage battery is not charged,
the amount of access requests is limited to
15 after switching off the ignition. This
helps conserve the 12 vo lt vehicle battery.
You cannot contro l functions or access in­
formation if the charge leve l of the 12 volt
vehicle battery is too low.
- If at least two minutes have passed after
the last time the ignition was switched off,
you can reset the access counter back to "O" as needed after switch ing the ignit ion on/
off again.

Car Finder

The vehicle collects data under certain conditions
and sends it to a server .
When data is stored, you can access values such
as these us ing the service:
- Vehicle location disp lay,
- Display of one's own location,
- Ro ute to your veh icle.
If your mobile device also has a nav igation func­
tion, you can navigate to your last know n parking
locat ion.
@ Tips
- The new parking location cannot be deter­
mined with this service if the vehicle is
moved after shutt ing the veh icle
off and
wi thout sw itching the ign ition on and
off
again, for example when be ing towed o r if
the vehicle is stolen .
- If the vehicle is moved an d shut

Charging

You can control and access the hig h-voltage bat ­
tery c harging proc ess r emotely using these serv ­

- check the battery charge leve l,
- star t/end t he cha rging process,

mate cont rol,
- deactivate/activate the cha rg in g timer .

You can contro l the climate control in your vehi­
cle remotely using these services:
- start/end climate control ,
- program the timer,
- deactivate/activate the timer.

Storing new tire pressures

Correctly stored tire pressure specifications are
necessary for reliable tire pressure monitoring.

It is always necessary to store the tire pressures
when the tire pressures are modified, for exam­ ple due to a change in load. or when new sensors
are installed .
~ Before storing the tire pressures, make sure the
tire pressures of all four tires meet the speci­
fied values and are adapted to the load
~ page 341, fig . 2 78 . Only correct and store
the pressure in tires whose temperature is ap­
prox imat ely the same as the ambient tempera­
ture .
If the temperature of the tire is higher
than the ambient air temperature, the tire
pressure must be increased approximate ly
3 .0 PSI (0 .2 bar) above the va lue on the sticker .
~ Switch the ignition on.
~ Select in the Infotainment system: IMENUI but­
ton
> Vehicle > left control button > Service &
checks > Tire pressure monitoring > Store tire
pressure > Yes, store now .
After storing the
tire pressu res, the t ire pressu re monitoring sys­
tem measures the current pressures wh ile driv­
in g and stores them as the new specified pres­
sures.
~ If the changed tire pressures are not displayed
in the Infotainment system, drive the vehicle
for approximate ly 10 minutes so that the sen­
sor signal from the wheels is received again.
During this adaptation phase, --.-- is displayed
for the pressure and temperature and the tire
pressure mon itor ing system is only partially
ava ilable. It only provides a warning if one or

tire pressures is below the minimum per­
mitted specified pressure.
If the

Please check all tires and store pressures in
MMI also appears, the system has detected that
the position of the sensors has changed because
of a tire rotation, or that new sensors were in­
stalled. Store the new tire pressures.

If the ffim ind icator light appears after switch­
in g the ignitio n on or wh ile dr iving and the
[IJ in­
dicator light also blinks for approximately one
minute and then stays on, there is a system ma l­
function . The fo llowing are examples of situa­
tions that could cause a malfunction:
- If the message appears at the end of the adap ­
tation phase, the system may not detect one or
several of the whee l sensors necessary for pres­
sure monitoring. This may res ult from one or
more whee ls being installed without wheel sen­
sors or with incompatible wheel sensors.
- A wheel sensor or another component has
fa iled.
- Using snow chains can affect the function of
the system because of the shielding effect of
the chains.
- The tire pressure monitoring system is not
avai lab le due to a ma lfunction.
- Transmitters with the same frequency, such as
headphones or remote-controlled devices, may
cause a temporary system malfunct ion due to
the strong electromagnetic field.
