Fuel level
The dis play (j) ¢ page 1 0, fig. 3 or ¢ page 10,
fig . 4 only f unctions when the ign ition is swi tc h ­
ed on. When the display has reached the reserve
mark, a red L ED turns on and the
H indicator
light turns on¢
page 27. The red LED wi ll blink
when the f uel leve l is very low.

(gJ) Note
Never d rive until the tank is comple tely emp­
ty. The irregular supp ly of fuel that resul ts
from that can ca use engine misfires. Uncom ­
busted fuel will then ente r the exhaust sys­
tem. Th is can cause overheating and damage
to the cata lytic converter.
Odometer

Trip odometer and odometer
The trip odome ter shows the dist ance driven
since it was last reset. It can be used to measure
short distances.
The trip odome ter can be rese t to zero by press­
ing
the ~ reset button.
The odometer shows the total d istance that the
ve hicl e has been dr iven .
Malfunction indicator
If there is a malfunct io n in the instrument clus­
ter,
DEF w ill appea r in the trip odometer display .
H ave the malfunct ion corrected as soon as possi­
b le.

Do not park your vehicle on steep hills.

Tilt angle display

fotainment system . Bot h the sideways angle @
and the lengthwise angle @ of the vehicle are
disp layed. The accuracy depends on the driving
situation and is normally a round 1

ways angle of your vehicle should no t exceed the
ye llow range in the gauge . If it reaches the red

A WARNING
- Do not excee d the yellow range in the
g au ge. Your ve hicle can t ip, whi ch in cre as es
t he risk of an accident.
- Unde r some ci rcumstan ce s, the vehicle can
t ip ove r or til t sid eways eve n if the s ideways
angle is low. The angle display does not re ­
p lace the driver's attent io n. To re duce the
risk of an accident, make sure the vehicle
does not tip, especially when yo u are driving
at high speeds.
Automatic transmission
Introduction
The au tom atic transmission is con trolled ele c­
tronically. The transmission shifts up or down au­
tomat ica lly depending on which dr ive p rogram is
selected .
When a
moderate driving style i s used, t he
transm iss ion selec ts the most economica l driv ing
mode. The transmission upshifts at a lower RPM
and downshifts at a higher RPM to improve fue l
e fficiency.
The tra nsmission switches to a sporty mode after
a kick-down or when the driver uses a
sporty
driving style
characterized by quick accelerator
pedal movements, heavy acceleration, frequent
changes in speed and t raveling at the max imum
speed .

FM/AM HD Radio*
You can sw itch HD Rad io recept io n on o r off.
Channel sorting (SiriusXM*)
You can set the station sorting for SiriusXM sta­
tion lists* by:
-Channel number: the channels are sorted in as­
cending order according to their channel num­
ber.
- Channel name : the channels are listed in alpha­
betical order.
- First category, then channel number: th e
channels are sorted by the ir category and then
by the ir channel numbers.
- First category, then channel name: the chan­
nels are sorted by their category and then by
their channel names.
Category filter (SiriusXM*)
The stations shown in the station list can be fi l­
tered by your personal preferences and by pro­
gram type. The program categories that you can
select depend on what is offered by your provid­
er. Select the
All categories option to deactivate
all filter options and display all ava ilable stations
in the satellite station list.
