If no destination is set, you can set a mailing ad­
dress @as a destination by selecting and con­
firming the desired address when an address
card is open.
Read contact
The MMI automatically creates a name tag for
each entry in the directory that can be read by the
MMI.
Telephone
Create copy for editing/Edit contact
A copy of the contact is stored in the private local
MMI memory.
You can change the information in the input
fields
¢ page 154 using the speller.
Storing a contact in the public directory
You can mark a contact as one of the Shared con­
tacts~ -The contact is then stored in the local
MMI memory
(public) @¢ fig. 171 and is availa­
ble to all MMI users. If a contact is not marked as
one of the
Shared contacts, it is stored in the lo­
cal MMI memory (private)
(D and is only visible
when the cell phone, in which the contact is saved, is connected.
Delete contact
Only the contacts in the MMI memory (private/
public) can be deleted.
u) Tips
- Contacts edited in the MMI directory cannot
be automatically updated in the connected
cell phone. Audi recommends editing cell
phone contacts directly in the cell phone .
- Only the contacts in the MMI memory (pri­
vate/public) can be edited or deleted .
- To delete all shared or private contacts at
one time, select the
Delete shared contacts
or Delete private contacts option in the di­
rectory settings

- Content, scope and providers of availab le
Internet-based se rvices may vary.
- For safety reasons, the online Street View
funct ions can on ly be used when th e vehicle

Storing a favorite or home address

Favorites are stored automatically as a contact
in the directory .

A home address can be stored for each cell phone
or SIM card that is paired with the
MMI as well as
for the public MMI directory . It is only visible
when the respective directory is active .

Two addresses (private/business) can be as­
signed as destinations for each contact in the di­
rectory.

- Storing a destination as a new address card :
select New contact. Enter a name. Enter addi ­
tional data, if necessary. Select and confirm
Save contact .
- Assigning a destination to an existing address
card:

Save contact. If you already have
an address card for a destination, the old desti­
nation will be overwritten .
Add to favorites : to be able to access a destina­
t ion quickly, the destination can be displayed in
the list of favorites when the function is switched
on~ ¢ page 170 .
Stored destinations are identified on the map by
a b lue or red push pin (bus iness/private naviga­
tion destination) .

® Searching for a destination online l)
The route is calcu lated based on var ious route cri­
ter ia. To set the cr iteria , you must first plan a
destination and then display the ro ute in the RSE
disp lay using th e
Show route function . When you
transf er a planned dest ination to th e MMI using
the
Send d estin ation to the dri ver function, th e
cr it er ia are trans fer red automat ica lly.
A planned destination is shown in the RSE display in whi te and act ive route guidance is marked in
b lue .
Displaying a rout e
The planned destination and the distance to the
destination/ar rival time are displayed on t he
map. The route is calcu lated based on the current
ve hicle location and can be updated.
To disp lay act ive route gu idance on the map, se­
lect the
Route guid anc e control button > Ex it
r o ut e displa y.
Send destination to the dri ver
To start route gu idance fo r a planned route, t he
destination must be transferred to the M MI. If
t he
D est ination s are set to Co nfirm in the MM I

confirmed before transferring to t he MMI.

sona l data to the new M MI unit usin g your pass ­
word . The default password " MMI3G" is valid un ­
t il you assign a personal passwo rd.
