Wipe off any overflowing fuel
immediately.
To close, turn the fuel filler cap
clockwise until it clicks.
Close the flap and allow it to engage.
Misfuel inhibitor
9 Warning
Do not try to open the flap of the
fuel filler neck manually on
vehicles with misfuel inhibitor.
Disregarding this could lead to
trapping of the fingers.
Diesel vehicle is equipped with a
misfuel inhibitor.
The misfuel inhibitor ensures that the flap of the fuel filler neck can only be
opened by using the suitable fuel
nozzle or a funnel for emergency
refilling.
In case of an emergency, refill with a
canister. A funnel must be used to
open the cap of the filler neck.The funnel is stowed in the load
compartment.
Place the funnel in storage bin and
store into polybag.
Use the funnel to fill in the fuel into the
filler neck.
After topping-up, stow the funnel into
polybag in the load compartment.
Liquid gas refuelling Follow the operating and safety
instructions of the filling station when
refuelling.

coupling ball bar
● Red marking on rotary knob must
point towards green marking on
coupling ball bar.
● The gap between the rotary knob
and the coupling ball bar must be approx. 6 mm.
● The key must be in position c.
Otherwise, the coupling ball bar must be tensioned before being inserted:
● Unlock coupling ball bar by turning key to position c.
● Pull out rotary knob and turn
clockwise as far as it will go.
Inserting the coupling ball bar
Insert the tensioned coupling ball bar
in the opening and push firmly
upwards until it audibly engages.
The rotary handle snaps back into its
original position resting against the
coupling ball bar without a gap.9 Warning
Do not touch rotary handle during
insertion.
Lock the coupling ball bar by turning
the key to position e. Remove the key
and close the protective flap.

Check that the coupling ball bar is correctly installed
● Green marking on rotary knob must point towards green
marking on coupling ball bar.
● There must be no gap between the rotary handle and the
coupling ball bar.
● The coupling ball bar must be firmly engaged in the opening.
● The coupling ball bar must be locked and the key removed.9Warning
Towing a trailer is permitted only
when a coupling ball bar is fitted correctly. If the coupling ball bardoes not engage correctly, seekthe assistance of a workshop.
Dismounting the coupling ball bar
Open the protective flap and turn the
key to position c to unlock the
coupling ball bar.
Pull out rotary handle and turn
clockwise as far as it will go. Pull out coupling ball bar downwards.
Insert sealing plug in opening. Fold away socket.

Halogen bulbs have pressurized
gas inside and can burst if you
drop or scratch the bulb. You or others could be injured. Be sure to read and follow the instructions onthe bulb package.
LED lighting
This vehicle has several LED lights.
For replacement of any LED lighting
assembly, contact a workshop.
Halogen headlights
Baselevel headlight assembly
The base model vehicle has halogen
high beam and low beam headlights,
LED turn lights, a sidelight and
daytime running lights on the
headlight assembly.
Passenger side shown, driver side
similar.
On the driver side remove the
windscreen washer bottle filler neck,
before changing a bulb.
1. High beam headlights

High beam and low beam headlights 1. Open the bonnet.
Bonnet 3 181.2. Remove the protective cover.
3. Turn the bulb anticlockwise and pull straight back.
4. Disconnect the wiring harnessconnector from the bulb.

Vehicle care1895. Install the new bulb in theheadlight assembly by turning
clockwise.
6. Reconnect the wiring harness connector.
7. Install the protective cover.
For the driver side, reinstall the
windscreen washer bottle filler neck
by firmly pushing it straight into the
bottle. Ensure that the filler neck clip
engages into the underhood electrical
centre retainer.
Uplevel headlight assembly
The uplevel model vehicle has LED high beam and low beam headlights,
turn lights, a sidelight and daytime
running lights on the headlight
assembly.Fog lights
The bulbs are accessible from the
underside of the vehicle
1. Turn the respective wheel inside to get better access and remove
three torx screws on outside of
wheel house.

2. Pull and hold lining to get access to the bulb holder.
3.Pull the retaining rib outwards and
remove plug connector from the
bulb socket.
4. Turn the bulb holder anticlockwise
and remove it from the reflector.
5. Remove and replace the bulb socket with bulb and attach the
plug connector.
6. Insert the bulb socket into the reflector by turning clockwise and
engage.
7. Re-assemble the lining and fasten
the three torx screws.

3. Tail / stop light, if not equippedwith LEDs (1)

4. Remove bulb holder. Remove and renew bulb.
5. Insert bulb holder into the tail light
assembly. Install tail light
assembly in body and tighten.
Close covers and engage.
6. Switch on ignition, operate and check all lights.
Number plate light
1. Prise the light out with a screwdriver.
2. Remove bulb housing downwards, taking care not to pull
on the cable.
Rotate bulb holder anticlockwise
to disengage.
3. Remove bulb from holder and renew bulb.
4. Insert bulb holder in bulb housing and rotate clockwise.
5. Insert bulb housing and secure using a screwdriver.
Rear fog light
The bulbs are accessible from the
underside of the vehicle.

1.Turn the bulb holder anticlockwise
and remove it from reflector.
2. Disengage the bulb socket from the plug connector by pressing
the retaining lug.
3. Remove and replace the bulb socket with bulb and attach the
plug connector.
4. Insert the bulb socket into the reflector and turn clockwise to
engage.Electrical system
Fuses
Data on the replacement fuse must
match the data on the defective fuse.
In a box above the positive terminal of
the battery are some main fuses. If
necessary have them changed by a workshop.
Before replacing a fuse, turn off the
respective switch and the ignition.
A blown fuse can be recognised by its melted wire. Do not replace the fuse
until the cause of the fault has been
remedied.
Some functions are protected by
several fuses.
Fuses may also be inserted without existence of a function.

manual may apply to your vehicle.
When inspecting the fuse box, refer
to the fuse box label.
