Pull handle, slide seat, release
handle. Try to move the seat back and forth to ensure that the seat is locked

the remote control for at least two
seconds, or, to open from the inside,
press x in the centre console; the
boot lid is opened slightly.
With the doors centrally locked, the
boot lid cannot be opened by pressing
x in the centre console.
Closing
Use one of the interior handles.
Do not push the touchpad switch or
the brand emblem whilst closing as
this will unlock the tailgate again.

General hints for operating
tailgate
9 Danger
Do not drive with the tailgate open
or ajar, e.g. when transporting
bulky objects, since toxic exhaust
gases, which cannot be seen or
smelled, could enter the vehicle.
This can cause unconsciousness
and even death.Caution
Before opening the tailgate check
overhead obstructions, such as a
garage door, to avoid damage to
the tailgate. Always check the
moving area above and behind the tailgate.
Notice
The installation of certain heavy
accessories onto the tailgate may
affect its ability to remain open.

operational, the system requires
functioning vehicle electrics, mobile

Depending on equipment, a backup
battery is used.

Press K and after a prompt press
again to establish an emergency

Press J for cancellation of a call or for
service (technician use only).
Status LED
The system provides feedback via
voice messages and an LED.
Green:The system is ready or
within the recall time,
during which the advisor

also possible with ignition

Paintwork damage
Rectify minor paintwork damage with a touch-up pen before rust forms.
Have more extensive damage or rust areas repaired by a workshop.
Underbody Some areas of the vehicle underbody
have a PVC undercoating while other
critical areas have a durable
protective wax coating.
After the underbody is washed, check
the underbody and have it waxed if
necessary.
Bitumen/rubber materials could
damage the PVC coating. Have
underbody work carried out by a
workshop.
Before and after winter, wash the
underbody and have the protective
wax coating checked.Liquid gas system9 Danger
Liquid gas is heavier than air and
can collect in sink points.
Take care when performing work
at the underbody in a pit.
For painting work and when using a
drying booth at a temperature above
60 °C, the liquid gas tank must be
removed.
Do not make any modifications to the
liquid gas system.
Towing equipment
Do not clean the coupling ball bar with a steam-jet or high-pressure jet
cleaner.
Air shutter Clean the shutter system in the front
bumper to maintain correct
functionality.
