■The rear window wiper and washer can be operated when
Vehicles without a smart entry & start system
The engine switch is in the “ON” position.
Vehicles with a smart entry & start system
The engine switch is in IGNITION ON mode.
■ If no windshield washer fluid sprays
Check that the washer nozzle is not blocked if there is washer fluid in the
windshield washer fluid reservoir.
NOTICE
■ When the rear window is dry
Do not use the wiper, as it may damage the rear window.
■ When the washer fluid tank is empty
Do not operate the switch continually as the washer fluid pump may over-
heat.
■ When a nozzle becomes blocked
In this case, contact any authorized Toyota retailer or Toyota authorized
repairer, or any reliable repairer.
Do not try to clear it with a pin or other object. The nozzle will be damaged.

■Operation conditions of each function
● Lane departure alert function
This function operates when all of the following conditions are met.
• LDA is turned on.
• Vehicle speed is approximately 50 km/h (32 mph) or more.
• System recognizes white (yellow) lines.
• Width of traffic lane is approximately 3 m (9.8 ft.) or more.
• Turn signal lever is not operated.
• Vehicle is driven on a straight road or around a gentle curve with a radius
of more than approximately 150 m (492 ft.).
• No system malfunctions are detected. ( P. 328)
● Steering control function
This function operates when all of the following conditions are met in addi-
tion to the operation conditions fo r the lane departure alert function.
• Monochrome display:
Setting for steering assist on-off mode in screen of the multi-infor-
mation display is set to (on). ( P. 124)
• Color display:
Setting for “ Steering Assist” in screen of the multi-information
display is set to on. ( P. 128)
• Vehicle is not accelerated or decelerated by a fixed amount or more.
• Steering wheel is not operated with a steering force level suitable for
changing lanes.
• ABS, VSC, TRC and PCS are not operating.
• TRC or VSC is not turned off.

● Vehicle sway warning
This function operates when all of the following conditions are met.
• Monochrome display:
Setting for sway alert on-off mode in screen of the multi-informa-
tion display is set to on. ( P. 124)
• Color display:
Setting for “ Alert” in screen of the multi-information display is
set to on. ( P. 128)
• Vehicle speed is approximately 50 km/h (32 mph) or more.
• Width of traffic lane is approximately 3 m (9.8 ft.) or more.
• No system malfunctions are detected. ( P. 328)
■ Temporary cancellation of functions
When operation conditions are no longer met, a function may be temporarily
canceled. However, when the operation conditions are met again, operation
of the function is automatically restored. ( P. 325)
■ Steering control function
Depending on the vehicle speed, lane departure situation, road conditions,
etc., the operation of the functions may not be recognized or the function may
not operate at all.
■ Lane departure alert function
The warning buzzer may be difficult to hear due to external noise, audio play-
back, etc.
■ Hands off steering wheel alert
When the system determines that the driver has removed their hands from
the steering wheel while the steering control function is operating, a warning
message is displayed on the multi-information display.
If the driver continues to keep their hands off of the steering wheel, the
buzzer sounds, a warning message is displayed and the function is temporar-
ily canceled. This alert also operates in the same way when the vehicle is
driven with the steering wheel lightly gripped. However, depending on the
road conditions, etc., the function may not cancel.
■ White (yellow) lines are only on one side of road
The LDA system will not operate for the side on which white (yellow) lines
could not be recognized.

■ When driving vehicle in country with different speed unit
Since RSA recognizes signs based on the set unit of the meter, it is neces-
sary to change the set unit of the meter. Adjust the set unit of the meter to the
speed unit of signs in the current location. ( P. 776)
■ Turning the system on/off
■ Speed limit sign display
If the engine switch was last turned off while a speed limit sign was displayed
on the multi-information display, the same sign displays again when the
engine switch is turned to “ON” position (vehicles without a smart entry & start
system) or IGNITION ON mode (vehicles with a smart entry & start system).

When constant speed control mode is selected, your vehicle will main-
tain a set speed without controlling the vehicle-to-vehicle distance.
Select this mode only when vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode
does not function correctly due to a dirty radar sensor.
With the cruise control off,
press and hold the “ON-OFF”
button for 1.5 seconds or more.
Immediately after the “ON-OFF”
button is pressed, the radar cruise
control indicator will come on.
Afterwards, it switches to the cruise
control indicator.
Switching to constant speed con-
trol mode is only possible when
operating the lever with the cruise
control off.
Accelerate or decelerate, with
accelerator pedal operation, to
the desired vehicle speed
(above approximately 50 km/h
