CHILD SAFETY: deactivating/activating the front passenger air bag (3/3)
Activating the front
passenger air bags
You should reactivate the airbags as
soon as you remove the child seat from
the front passenger seat to ensure the
protection of the front passenger in the
event of an impact.
The passenger airbag must
only be deactivated or acti-
vated when the vehicle is
stationary.
If it is interfered with when the ve-
hicle is being driven, indicator lights
å and © will come on.
Switch the ignition off then on again
to reset the airbag in accordance
with the lock position.

Operating faults
It is forbidden to fit a rear-facing child
seat to the front passenger seat if the
airbags activation/deactivation system
is faulty.
Allowing any other passenger to sit in
that seat is not recommended.
Contact your approved dealer as soon
as possible.
To reactivate the airbags: with the
vehicle stopped and the ignition off,
push and turn lock 1 to the ON position.
With the ignition switched on, you must
check that the warning light
¹ is
out and that the warning light
comes on the display 2 after each start-
up for around 60 seconds.
The front passenger seat belt additional
restraint systems are activated.

ßFront seat belt reminder
warning light
This lights up on the central display
when the engine is started then, if the
driver’s or front passenger’s seat belt
(if this seat is occupied) is not fastened
and the vehicle has reached approxi-
mately 12 mph (20 km/h), it flashes and
a bleep sounds for around 2 minutes.
Note: an object placed on the passen-
ger seat base may activate the warning
light in some cases.

Rear seat belt reminder (depending
on vehicle)
the
ß warning light on the cen-
tral display lights up accompanied by a
message on the instrument panel indi-
cating the number of seat belts buck-
led for approximately 30 seconds each
time:
– the vehicle is started;
– a door is opened;
– a rear seat belt is fastened or unfas- tened.
Check that the rear passengers are
wearing seat belts and that the number
of seat belt shown as fastened corre-
sponds to the number of rear bench
seat places occupied.

REVERSING CAMERA (1/2)
OperationMoving into reverse gear, the 1 camera
(located on the tailgate on five-seater
versions or near the number plate lights
on estate versions) provides a view of
the area behind the vehicle on the 2
touchscreen. Depending on the ve-
hicle, this may be accompanied by a
moving guide line or a static guide line.

Note: make sure that the reversing
camera is not obscured (by dirt, mud,
snow, etc.).

This function is an additional aid. It cannot, therefore, under any circ\
um-
stances replace the vigilance or the responsibility of the driver.
The driver should always be ready for sudden incidents while driving:
always ensure that there are no small, narrow moving obstacles (such
as a child, animal, pushchair, bicycle, stone, post etc.) in the blind spot when ma-
noeuvring.

Avoid resting any objects against
a half-open window: there is a risk
that the electric window could be
damaged.
Driver’s responsibility
Never leave your vehicle
with the RENAULT card or
key inside, and never leave
a child, adult who is not self-suffi-
cient or a pet, even for a short while.
They may pose a risk to themselves
or to others by starting the engine
or activating equipment (such as the
gear lever or electric windows).
If any part of the body becomes
trapped, reverse the direction of the
window immediately by pressing the
relevant switch.

Passenger safety
The driver can prevent the
front and rear passenger
electric windows from op-
erating (and the driver’s window)
by pressing switch 4. A confirmation
message is displayed on the instru-
ment panel.
Electric windows
Press or pull the switch to raise or lower
a window to the desired height (the rear
windows do not open fully);
From the driver’s seat, use switch:
1 for the driver’s side;
2 for the front passenger side;
3 and 5 for the rear passenger win-
dows.
From the passenger seats, use
switch 6.
These systems operate
with the igni-
tion on or off, until one of the front doors
is opened (limited to about 3 minutes).
