OUTSIDE REARVIEW MIRRORS WARNING
• Never touch the outside rearview mirrors
while they are in motion. Doing so may pinch
your fingers or damage the mirror.
• Never drive the vehicle with the outside rear-
view mirrors folded. This reduces rear view
visibility and may lead to an accident.
• Objects viewed in the outside mirror are
closer than they appear (where fitted).
• The picture dimensions and distance in the
outside mirrors are not real.
Adjusting
Remote control type: The outside rearview mirror remote control operates
when the ignition switch is in the
ACCorON posi-
tion.
1. Turn the switch to select the left or right
mirror ➀.
2. Adjust each mirror by pushing the switch until the desired position is achieved ➁.
Defogging (where fitted)
The outside rearview mirrors will be heated when
the rear window defogger switch is operated.
Folding
Manual type:
Fold the outside rearview mirror by pushing it to-
ward the rear of the vehicle. Remote control type:
The outside rearview mirror remote control operates
when the ignition switch is in the
ACCorON posi-
tion.
The outside rearview mirrors automatically fold when
the outside rearview mirror folding switch is pushed
in. To unfold, push to the switch again.
CAUTION
Continuously performing the fold/unfold opera-

VANITY MIRROR (where fitted)
To use the front vanity mirror, pull down the sun
visor and pull up the cover. WARNING
• Never drive the vehicle with the parking brake
applied. The brake will overheat and fail to
operate and will lead to an accident.
• Never release the parking brake from outside
the vehicle. If the vehicle moves, it will be
impossible to push the brake pedal and will
lead to an accident.
• Never use the shift lever in place of the park-
ing brake. When parking, be sure the parking
brake is fully applied.
• To help avoid risk of injury or death through
unintended operation of the vehicle and/or its
systems, do not leave children, people who
require the assistance of others, or pets unat-
tended in your vehicle. Additionally, the tem-
perature inside
aclosed vehicle on awarm
day can quickly become high enough to cause
as ignificant risk of injury or death to people
and pets. To apply the parking brake, pull the parking brake
lever up
➀.
To release the parking brake, depress and hold the
foot brake pedal. Pull up the parking brake lever
slightly, push the button ➁and lower the lever com-
pletely ➂.
Before driving, be sure that the brake warning light

A Camera
When the shift lever is shifted into the
R(Reverse)
position, the monitor display shows the view to the
rear of the vehicle.
The system is designed as an aid to the driver in
detecting large stationary objects to help avoid dam-
aging the vehicle. The system will not detect small
objects below the bumper and may not detect ob-
jects close to the bumper or on the ground. WARNING
Failure to follow the warnings and instructions
for proper use of the reversing camera could re-
sult in serious injury or death.
• The reversing camera is
aconvenience but it
is not asubstitute for proper reversing. Al-
ways turn and look out the windows, and
check mirrors to be sure that it is safe to move
before operating the vehicle. Always reverse
slowly. •
The system is designed as an aid to the driver
in showing large stationary objects directly
behind the vehicle, to help avoid damaging
the vehicle.
• The system cannot completely eliminate blind
spots and may not show every object.
• Underneath the bumper and the corner areas
of the bumper cannot be viewed on the re-
versing camera because of its monitoring
range limitation. The system will not show
small objects below the bumper, and may not
show objects close to the bumper or on the
ground.
• Objects viewed in the reversing camera differ
from actual distance because
awide-angle
lens is used.
• Objects in the reversing camera will appear
visually opposite than when viewed in the rear
view and outside mirrors •
Make sure that the tailgate is securely closed
when reversing.
• Do not put anything on the reversing camera.
The reversing camera is installed at the top of
the tailgate.
• When washing the vehicle with high pressure
water, be sure not to spray it around the cam-
era. Otherwise, water may enter the camera
unit causing water condensation on the lens,

alfunction, fire or an electric shock.
• Do not strike the camera. It is
aprecision in-
strument. Otherwise, it may malfunction or
cause damage resulting in afire or an electric
shock.
CAUTION
Do not scratch the camera lens when cleaning

With the ignition switch in the ON position, push the
button or move the shift lever to the R
(Reverse) position to operate the 360° Camera. The
monitor displays various views of the position of the
vehicle.
NOTE
At first operation, the corner lines are blinking
yellow for about 3seconds. This is not amalfunc-
tion but areminder to be cautious.
Available views:
• Bird’s-eye View
The surrounding view of the vehicle.
• Front-side View
The view around and ahead of the front passen-
ger’s side wheel.
• Front view
The view to the front of the vehicle.
• Rear view
The view to the rear of the vehicle.
The system is designed as an aid to the driver in
situations such as slot parking or parallel parking. There are some areas where the system will not
show objects. When in the front or the rear view dis-
play, an object below the bumper or on the ground
may not be viewed

hen in the bird’s-eye view,
at all object near the seam of the camera viewing
areas will not appear in the monitor ➁. WARNING
• The 360° Camera is intended for day time use.
Do not use the system in bad light conditions.
• The 360° Camera is
aconvenience feature. It
is not asubstitute for proper vehicle opera-
tion because it has areas where objects can-
not be viewed. The four corners of the vehicle
in particular, are blind spots where objects do
not appear in the bird’s-eye, front or rear
views. Always look out the windows and check
to be sure that it is safe to move. The driver is
always responsible for safety during parking
and other manoeuvres.
• Do not use the 360° Camera with the outside
mirror in the stored position, and make sure
that the tailgate is securely closed when op-
erating the vehicle using the 360° Camera.
• The distance between objects viewed on the
360° Camera differs from the actual distance.
• The cameras are installed on the front grille,
the outside mirrors and above the rear num-
ber plate. Do not put anything on the cam-
eras.
• When washing the vehicle with high-pressure
water, be sure not to spray it around the cam-
eras. Otherwise, water may enter the camera
unit causing water condensation on the lens,

on the monitor changes to the front side view ➃
when the button is pushed.

Starting with the CAMERA button
operation
• When the
button is pushed, the
360° Camera operates and the front view and
bird’s-eye view are displayed ➀.

he view on the screen on the passen-
ger’s side changes to the front-side view. Push-
ing the button again turns the 360°
Camera off.
• To change the driver’s side screen between front
view and rear view use the shift lever.
• When the shift lever is not in the
R(Reverse)
position and the vehicle speed increases above
approximately 10 km/h (6 MPH), the monitor
changes from 360° Camera screen to the audio
or navigation screen. GUIDE LINES WARNING
• The distance guide line and the vehicle width
line should be used as areference only when
the vehicle is on apaved, level surface. The
distance viewed on the monitor is for refer-
ence only and may be different than the ac-
tual distance between the vehicle and dis-
played objects.
• Use the displayed lines and the bird’s-eye
view as
areference. The lines and the bird’s-
eye view are greatly affected by the number
of occupants, fuel level, vehicle position, road
condition and road grade.
• If the tyres are replaced with different sized
tyres, the predictive course line and the bird’s-
eye view may be displayed incorrectly.
• When driving the vehicle up
ahill, objects
viewed in the monitor are further than they
appear. When driving the vehicle down ahill,
objects viewed in the monitor are closer than
they appear. Use the mirrors or actually look
to properly judge distances to other objects.
The vehicle width and predictive course lines are
wider than the actual width and course. Front and rear view

Vehicle width guide lines and static predictive
course lines ➄:
Indicate the vehicle width when reversing.
Dynamic predictive course lines ➅:
The dynamic predictive course lines will be dis-
played on the monitor when the steering wheel is
turned. The course lines will move depending on
how much the steering wheel is turned and will not
be displayed while the steering wheel is in the neu-
tral position.
The front view will not be displayed when the vehicle
speed is above 10 km/h (6 MPH). WARNING
• The distance between objects viewed in the
rear view differs from actual distance because
aw ide-angle lens is used. Objects in the rear
view will appear visually opposite than when
viewed in the rear view and outside mirrors.
• On
asnow-covered or slippery road, there
may be adifference between the predictive
course line and the actual course line.
• The displayed lines on the rear view will ap-
pear slightly off to the right because the rear
view camera is not installed in the rear centre
of the vehicle. NOTE
When the monitor displays the front view and the
steering wheel turns about 90 degrees or less
from the neutral position, both the right and left
predictive course lines
➅are displayed. When
the steering wheel turns about 90 degrees or
more, aline is displayed only on the opposite
side of the turn.
Bird’s-eye view WARNING
• Objects in the bird’s-eye view will appear fur-
ther than the actual distance because the
bird’s-eye view is apseudo view that is pro-
cessed by combining the views from the cam-
eras on the outside mirrors, the front and the
rear of the vehicle.
• Tall objects, such as
akerb or avehicle, may
be misaligned or not displayed at the seam of
the views.
• Objects that are above the camera cannot be
displayed.
• The view for the bird’s-eye view may be mis-
aligned when the camera position alters.
• Al
ine on the ground may be misaligned and is
not seen as being straight at the seam of the
views. The misalignment will increase as the
line proceeds away from the vehicle. The bird’s-eye view shows the overhead view of the
vehicle, which helps confirm the vehicle position and
the predicted course to
aparking space.
The vehicle icon ➀shows the position of the ve-
hicle.
NOTE
The size of the vehicle icon on the bird’s-eye
view may differ somewhat from the actual ve-
hicle.
At first operation, the blind spot corner lines ➁on
all four corners of the vehicle icon are blinking yel-
low for about 3seconds. The four corners
➂of the
vehicle are displayed in red.
NOTE
• The areas that the cameras cannot cover are
indicated in black.

different than the actual distance between the

When moving the vehicle up ahill, the distance guide
lines and the vehicle width guide lines are shown
closer than the actual distance. For example, the
display shows 1m(3ft) to the place j
A, but the
actual 1m(3f t) distance on the hill is the place
j B. Note that any object on the hill is viewed in the

During the first 1,600 km (1,000 miles), follow these
recommendations to obtain maximum engine per-
formance and ensure the future reliability and
economy of your new vehicle. Failure to follow these
recommendations may result in shortened engine
life and reduced engine performance.
• Do not drive at
aconstant speed, either fast or
slow, for long periods of time.
• Do not run the engine over 4,000 rpm.
• Do not accelerate at full throttle in any gear.
• Do not start quickly.
• Do not brake hard as much as possible.
• Do not tow
atrailer for at least the first 800 km
(500 miles). WARNING
The driving characteristics of your vehicle will
change remarkably by any additional load and its
distribution, as well as by adding optional equip-
ment (trailer coupling, roof rail, etc.). Your driv-
ing style and speed must be adjusted according
to the circumstances. Especially when carrying
heavy loads, your speed must be reduced ad-
equately.
• Make sure the area around the vehicle is clear.
• Check fluid levels such as engine oil, coolant,
brake (and clutch) fluid, window washer fluid as
frequently as possible, at least whenever you
refuel.
• Visually inspect tyres for their appearance and
condition. Measure and check the tyre pressure
for proper inflation.
• Check that all windows and lights are clean.
• Adjust the seat and head restraint positions.
• Adjust the inside and outside rearview mirror po-
sitions.
• Fasten your seat belt and ask all passengers to
do the same.
• Check that all doors are closed.
• Check the operation of the warning lights when
the ignition switch is placed in the “ON” position. •
Maintenance items in the “8. Maintenance and
do-it-yourself” section should be checked peri-
odically.
