A few driving recommendations
Observe the driving regulations at all times and
remain vigilant whatever the traffic conditions.
Pay close attention to the traffic and keep your
hands on the wheel so that you are ready to
react at any time to any eventuality.
In difficult weather, drive smoothly, anticipate
the need to brake and increase the distance
from other vehicles. If you are obliged to drive through water:
-
c
heck that the depth of water does not
exceed 15 cm, taking account of waves
that might be generated by other users.
-
d
rive as slowly as possible; do not exceed
6 mph (10 km/h).
On leaving the flooded road, as soon as
circumstances allow, make several light brake
applications to dry the brake discs and pads.
If in doubt on the state of your vehicle, contact
a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.Important!
Driving on flooded roads
We strongly advise against driving on flooded
roads, as this could cause serious damage
to the motor and the gearbox as well as the
electrical systems of your vehicle. Never drive with the parking brake
applied - Risk of overheating and
damage to the braking system!
Never leave a vehicle unsupervised
with the motor switched on. If you
have to leave your vehicle with the
motor switched on, apply the parking
brake and place the drive selector in
position
N or P
.

Checking componentsUnless otherwise indicated, check these components in accordance with the manufacturer's service schedule.
Other wise, have them checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
Passenger compartment filter
Refer to the manufacturer's
service schedule for details of the
replacement intervals for this filter.
Brake wear depends on the style
of driving, particularly in the case
of vehicles used in town, over short
distances. It may be necessary to have
the condition of the brakes checked,
even between vehicle services.
Brake pads
Only use products recommended by
PEUGEOT or products of equivalent
quality and specifications.
In order to optimise the operation
of units as important as the braking
system, PEUGEOT selects and offers
very specific products.
Parking brake
If a loss of effectiveness of this
system is noticed, the parking brake
must be checked, even between
two
services.
Brake disc / drum wear
For information on checking the
brake disc or drum wear, contact
a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.
This system must be checked by a PEUGEOT
dealer or a qualified workshop.
Unless there is a leak in the circuit, a drop in
the brake fluid level indicates that the brake
pads are worn. Depending on the environment (e.g. dusty
atmosphere) and the use of the vehicle (e.g. city
driving),
replace it twice as often if necessar y .
A dirty passenger compartment filter may have
an adverse effect on the per formance of the air
conditioning system and generate undesirable
odours.
