Install the available child restraint system in vehicle upon confirming the following
items.
■Standards for child restraint systems
Use a child restraint system that conforms to ECE R44*1.
The following approval mark is displaye d on child restraint systems which are
conformed.
Check for an approval mark attached to the child restraint system.

■Child restraint system suitability table
The child restraint system suitability table ( P. 69), with symbols, displays the
types of usable child restraint systems and possible seating position installa-
tion for the child restraint system ow ned by the customer. Also, recommended
child restraint systems suited for infants can also be selected. Confirm also in
accordance with [Confirming the possible installation seating positions and
the Mass Group for the seat belt instal lation type child restraint systems].
◆Confirming the possible installation seating positions and the Mass Group
for the seat belt installation type child restraint systems
Confirm the corresponding [Mass group] from the weight of the child
( P. 63)
(Ex. 1) When the weight is 12 kg (27 lb.), [Mass group 0+]
(Ex. 2) When the weight is 15 kg (34 lb.), [Mass group I]
Confirm and select the appropriate possible seating position for the child
restraint system and the corresponding type of system from the [Child
restraint system suitability table]. ( P. 69)

■ISOFIX rigid anchors (ISOFIX child restraint system)
Lower anchors are provided for the
each rear seats. (Mark displaying
the location of the anchors are
attached to the seats.)
■Use a child restraint system that conforms to ECE R44*
Approval marks are displayed on child restraint systems which have con-
formed. ( P. 62)
*: ECE R44 is a U.N. regulation for child restraint systems.

The child restraint system suitability table ( P. 78), with symbols, displays the
types of usable child restraint systems and possible seating position installa-
tion for the child restraint system ow ned by the customer. Also, recommended
child restraint systems suited for in fants can also be selected. Confirm in
accordance with the listed Size class, Anchor, as well as [Confirming the Mass
group and Size class for ECE R44 ISOF IX corresponding child restraint sys-
tems].

901-2. Hybrid system
RC300h_EE(OM24740E)
There is an air intake vent on the right
side of the rear seat back for the pur-
pose of cooling the hybrid battery
(traction battery). If the vent becomes
blocked, the hybrid battery may over-
heat, leading to a reduction in hybrid
battery output.
When a certain level of impact is detected by the impact sensor, the emergency
shut off system blocks the high voltage current and stops the fuel pump to mini-
mize the risk of electrocution and fuel leakage. If the emergency shut off system
activates, your vehicle will not restart. To restart the hybrid system, contact any
authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped pro-
fessional.
A message is automatically displayed when a malfunction occurs in the hybrid
system or an improper operation is attempted.
If a warning message is shown on the
multi-information display, read the
message and follow the instructions.

■If a warning light comes on, a warning message is displayed, or the 12-volt battery is dis-
connected
The hybrid system may not start. In this case, try to start the system again. If the “READY” indicator does not come on, contact any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another
duly qualified and equipped professional.
■Running out of fuel
When the vehicle has run out of fuel and the hybrid system cannot be started, refuel the
vehicle with at least enough gasoline to make the low fuel level warning light (P. 539) go off. If there is only a small amount of fuel, the hybrid system may not be able to start.(The standard amount of fuel is about 10 L [2.7 gal., 2.2 Imp. gal.] when the vehicle is on a
level surface. This value may vary when the vehi cle is on a slope. Add extra fuel when the vehicle is inclined.)
■Electromagnetic waves
●High voltage parts and cables on hybrid ve hicles incorporate electromagnetic shield- ing, and therefore emit approximately the same amount of electromagnetic waves as conventional gasoline powered vehicles or home electronic appliances.
●Your vehicle may cause sound interference in some third party-produced radio parts.
■Hybrid battery (traction battery)
The hybrid battery (traction battery) has a lim ited service life. The lifespan of the hybrid
battery (traction battery) can change in accordance with driving style and driving condi- tions.
■Declaration of conformity
This model conforms to hydrogen emissions according to regulation ECE100 (Battery electric vehicle safety).
