Maintenance and care
Vehicle exterior
ItemsCheck points
Doors/trunk• Do the doors/trunk operate smoothly?
Engine hood• Does the engine hood lock system work properly?
Fluid leaks• There should not be any signs of fluid leakage after
the vehicle has been parked.
Tires
• Is the tire inflation pressure correct?
• The tires should not be damaged or excessively worn.
• Have the tires been rotated according to the mainte- nance schedule?
• The wheel nuts should not be loose.
Windshield wipers
•The wiper blades should no t show any signs of crack-
ing, splitting, wear, contamination or deformation.
• The wiper blades should clear the windshield without
streaking or skipping.

■If the engine is running
Turn the engine off and ensure that there is adequate ventilation before performing
maintenance checks.

When trouble arises
(If equipped)
Indicates that the dynamic radar cruise control system is
unable to judge vehicle-to-vehicle distanceA buzzer also sounds.
→ Turn off snow mode.
If the windshield wipers are on, turn them off or set
them to a mode other than AUTO or high speed
wiper operation.
(If equipped)
Indicates that the LDA (Lane Departure Alert) system is
suspended (The camera sensor temperature is higher
than the operation temperature range)
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Restart the LDA after driving for a while.
(If equipped)
Indicates that a Blind Spot Monitor sensor or the sur-
rounding area on the rear bumper is dirty or covered
with snow, ice, etc. or th at a sensor is misaligned
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Clean off the dirt, snow, ice, etc. and drive the vehi-
cle with the operation conditions of the BSM func-
tion ( →P. 319) satisfied for approximately 10
minutes. If the warning me ssage does not disappear,
the sensor may be misaligned. Have the vehicle
inspected by your Lexus dealer.
Indicates a malfunction in:
• The cruise control system; or
• The dynamic radar cruise co ntrol system (if equipped)
Press the “ON/OFF” button once to deactivate the
system, and then press the button again to reactivate
the system.
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
(If equipped)
Indicates a malfunction in the LDA (Lane Departure
Alert) system
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
