The front doors can be opened by
pulling the inside handle even if the lock buttons are in the lock position.
For the front doors
Move the inside lock button to the lock position.
Close the door while pulling the door handle.
The door cannot be locked if the power switch is in ACCESSORY or ON mode, or the electronic key is left inside the vehicle. However, the key may not be detected cor-
rectly and the door may be locked.
For the rear doors
Move the inside lock button to the lock position.
Close the door.
The door cannot be locked if the power switch is in ACCESSORY or ON mode, or the electronic key is left inside the vehicle. However, the key may not be detected cor-
rectly and the door may be locked.

■Switching the door unlock function (vehicles with entry function)
It is possible to set which doors the entry fu nction unlocks using the wireless remote con-
trol.
Turn the power switch off.
Cancel the intrusion sensor and tilt sensor of the alarm system to prevent unintended
triggering of the alarm while changing the settings. (if equipped) ( P. 95)
When the indicator light on the key surface is not on, press and hold , or
for approximately 5 seconds while pressing and holding .
The setting changes each time an operatio n is performed, as shown below. (When
changing the setting continuously, release the buttons, wait for at least 5 seconds, and repeat step .)
For vehicles with an alarm: To prevent unin tended triggering of the alarm, unlock the doors using the wireless remote control and open and close a door once after the set-
tings have been changed. (If a door is not opened within 30 seconds after is
pressed, the doors will be locked again and the alarm will automatically be set.)
In a case that the alarm is triggered, immediately stop the alarm. ( P. 93)

■Impact detection door lock release system
In the event that the vehicle is subject to a strong impact, all the doors are unlocked. Depending on the force of the impact or the type of accident, however, the system may
not operate.
■Using the mechanical key
The doors can also be locked and unlocked with the mechanical key. ( P. 628)

WARNING
■To prevent an accident
Observe the following precauti ons while driving the vehicle. Failure to do so may result in a door open ing and an occupant being thrown out of the
vehicle, resulting in death or serious injury.
●Ensure that all doors are properly closed.
●Do not pull the inside handle of the doors while driving.
Be especially careful with the front doors, as the doors may be opened even if the
inside lock buttons ar e in locked position.
●Set the rear door child-protector locks when children are seated in the rear seats.

1783-3. Adjusting the seats

Your preferred driving position (the position of the driver’s seat, steering wheel
and outside rear view mirrors) can be re corded and recalled by pressing a but-
ton.
Three different driving positions can be recorded into memory.
■Recording procedure
Check that the shift lever is in P.
Turn the power switch to ON mode.
Adjust the driver’s seat, steering wheel, and outside rear view mirrors to the
desired positions.
While pressing the “SET” button,
or within 3 seconds after the
“SET” button is pressed, press
button “1”, “2” or “3” until the
buzzer sounds.
If the selected button has already been preset, the previously recorded
position will be overwritten.
■Recall procedure
Check that the shift lever is in P.
Turn the power switch to ON mode.
Press one of the buttons for the
driving position you want to recall
until the buzzer sounds.

5-1. Basic Operations
The illustration below is for left-hand drive vehicles.
The button positions and shapes may differ slightly for right-hand drive vehicles.
Eject a disc.
Display the radio top screen.
Display the media top screen.
Select preset radio stations, or access a desired track or file.
Except radio and A/V mode: Pause or resume playing a track or file.
Radio and A/V mode: Turn mute on/off.
“TUNE•SCROLL” knob
Select a radio station band, track or file.
Disc slot
“POWER•VOLUME” knob
Press to turn the audio system on/o ff, and turn to adjust the volume.
Lexus Display Audio system
: If equipped
Use the following buttons to star t listening to the audio system.

Control area
Press the back button on the

If more than one MirrorLink™ device is available, select the desired device.
Select “Select MirrorLink™ device” on the left menu screen.
Select “MirrorLink™ 1” or “MirrorLink™ 2”.
