■Conditions under which the RCTA function will not detect a vehicle
The RCTA function is not designed to dete ct the following types of vehicles and/or objects:
●Vehicles approaching from directly behind
●Vehicles backing up in a parking space next to your vehicle
●Guardrails, walls, signs, parked vehi cles and similar stationary objects*
●Small motorcycles, bicycles, pedestrians, etc.*
●Vehicles moving away from your vehicle
●Vehicles approaching from the parking spaces next to your vehicle*
*: Depending on the conditions, detection of a vehicle and/or object may occur.
■Conditions under which the RCTA function may not function correctly
●The RCTA function may not detect vehicles correctly in the following situations:
• When the sensor is misaligned due to a stro ng impact to the sensor or its surround-
ing area • When mud, snow, ice, a sticker, etc. is covering the sensor or surrounding area on
the rear bumper
• When driving on a road surface that is wet with standing water during bad weather,
such as heavy rain, snow, or fog • When multiple vehicles are approaching wi th only a small gap between each vehicle
• When a vehicle is approaching at high speed
• When towing a trailer (vehicles with towing package)
●Vehicles that the sensors cannot detect due to
obstructions
• When backing up on a slope with a sharp
change in grade

●Instances of the RCTA function unnecessarily detecting a vehicle and/or object may
increase in the following situations:
• When a vehicle passes by the side of your vehicle
• When the distance between your vehicle and metal objects, such as a guardrail,
wall, sign, or parked vehicle, which may re flect electrical waves toward the rear of
the vehicle, is short
• When backing out of a shallow angle park-
ing spot
• When the sensors cannot detect a vehicle due to obstructions
• When the parking space faces a street and vehicles are being driven on the street

When selecting the main display, move the Remote Touch knob to the left.
When selecting the side display, move the Remote Touch knob to the right.

The seat belt warning buzzer sounds to al ert the driver, front passenger and rear pas-
sengers that his or her seat belt is not fastened. The buzzer sounds for 30 seconds
after the vehicle reaches a speed of 20 km/h (12 mph). Then, if the seat belt is still unfastened, the buzzer w ill sound in a different tone for 90 more seconds.
■Front passenger detection sensor, seat belt reminder and warning buzzer
●If luggage is placed on the front passenger seat, the front passenger detection sensor
may cause the warning light to flash and the warning buzzer to sound even if a passen-
ger is not sitting in the seat.
●If a cushion is placed on the seat, the sens or may not detect a passenger, and the warn-
ing light may not operate properly.
■If the malfunction indicator lamp comes on while driving
The malfunction indicato r lamp will come on if the fuel tank becomes completely empty.
If the fuel tank is empty, refuel the vehi cle immediately. The malfunction indicator lamp
will go off after several trips.
If the malfunction indicator lamp does not go off, contact any authorized Lexus retailer or
Lexus authorized repairer, or any re liable repairer as soon as possible.
Rear passengers’ seat belt reminder lights (warning buzzer)*3
Warns the rear passengers to fasten their seat belts
Fasten the seat belt.
Master warning light
A buzzer sounds and the warning light comes on and flashes to indicate that the master warning system has detected a malfunc-
tion.

Tire pressure warning light When the light comes on:
Low tire inflation pressure such as
• Natural causes ( P. 579) •Flat tire ( P. 610, 625)
Adjust the tire inflation pressure to the specified level.
The light will turn off after a few minutes. In case the light does not turn off even if the tire inflat ion pressure is adjusted, have the
system checked by any authorized Lexus retailer or Lexus
authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer. When the light comes on after blinking for 1 minute:

The power window except for the one at the driver’s seat cannot be operated
if the window lock switch is pressed. ( P. 193)
●The auto power off function will be operated if the vehicle is left in ACCES-
SORY or ON mode (the hybrid system is not operating) for a period of time.

●The seat belt reminder light is flashing
