parts or accessories of matching quality can also be used. Lexus cannot accept any liabil- ity or guarantee spare parts and accessories which are not genuine Lexus products, norfor replacement or installation involving such parts. In addition, damage or performance
problems resulting from the use of non-ge nuine Lexus spare parts or accessories may not be covered under warranty.

WARNING
Observe the following precautions. Failure to do so may cause the driver’s floor mat to slip, possibly interfering with the ped-als while driving. An unexpect edly high speed may result or it may become difficult to
stop the vehicle. This could lead to an acci dent, resulting in death or serious injury.
■When installing the driver’s floor mat
●Do not use floor mats designed for other models or different model year vehicles,
even if they are Lexus Genuine floor mats.
●Only use floor mats designed for the driver’s seat.
●Always install the floor mat securely us ing the retaining hooks (clips) provided.
●Do not use two or more floor mats on top of each other.
●Do not place the floor mat bottom-side up or upside-down.
■Before driving
●Check that the floor mat is securely fixed in the correct place with all the provided retain-
ing hooks (clips). Be especially careful to per- form this check after cleaning the floor.
●With the hybrid system stopped and the shift
lever in P, fully depress each pedal to the floor to make sure it does not interfere with thefloor mat.

■If a warning light comes on, a warning message is displayed, or the 12-volt battery is dis-
connected
The hybrid system may not start. In this case, try to start the system again. If the “READY” indicator does not come on, contact any authorized Lexus retailer or Lexus authorized
repairer, or any reliable repairer.
■Running out of fuel
When the vehicle has run out of fuel and the hybrid system cannot be started, refuel the
vehicle with at least enough gasoline to make the low fuel level warning light ( P. 462) go off. If there is only a small amount of fuel, the hybrid system may not be able to start.(The standard amount of fuel is about 9.9 L [2 .6 gal., 2.2 Imp.gal.], when the vehicle is on
a level surface. This value may vary when the vehicle is on a slope. Add extra fuel when the vehicle is inclined.)
■Electromagnetic waves
●High voltage parts and cables on hybrid ve hicles incorporate electromagnetic shield- ing, and therefore emit approximately the same amount of electromagnetic waves asconventional gasoline powered vehicles or home electronic appliances.
●Your vehicle may cause sound interference in some third party-produced radio parts.
■Hybrid battery (traction battery)
The hybrid battery (traction battery) has a lim ited service life. The lifespan of the hybrid
battery (traction battery) can change in accordance with driving style and driving condi- tions.
■Declaration of conformity
This model conforms to hydrogen emissions according to regulation ECE100 (Battery electric vehicle safety).
WARNING
■High voltage precautions
This vehicle has high voltage DC and AC systems as well as a 12-volt system. DC and
AC high voltage is very dangerous and can cause severe burns and electric shock that may result in death or serious injury.
●Never touch, disassemble, remove or replace the high voltage parts, cables or their
connectors.
●The hybrid system will become hot after starting as the system uses high voltage. Be careful of both the high voltage and the hi gh temperature, and always obey the warn-
ing labels attached to the vehicle.
●Never try to open the service plug access
hole located behind the rear seats. The ser- vice plug is used only when the vehicle is ser-viced and is subject to high voltage.

Do one of the following to deactivate or stop the alarm:
●Unlock the doors or open the trunk using the entry function or wireless
remote control.
●Turn the power switch to ACCESSORY or ON mode, or start the hybrid sys-
tem. (The alarm will be deactivated or stopped after a few seconds.)
■System maintenance
The vehicle has a maintenance-free type alarm system.
■Items to check before locking the vehicle
To prevent unexpected triggering of the alarm and vehicle theft, make sure of the follow-
ing:
●Nobody is in the vehicle.
●The windows and moon roof (if equipped) are closed before the alarm is set.
●No valuables or other personal items are left in the vehicle.

*5: The light flashes to indicate that the system is operating.
*6: When the outside temperature is approximately 3 C (37F) or lower, the indicator
will flash for approximately 10 seconds, then stay on.
*7: The light turns on when the system is turned off.
*8: In order to confirm operation, the BSM outside rear view mirror indicators illuminate
in the following situations:
• When the power switch is in ON mode, the BSM function is enabled on of the multi-information display.
• When the BSM function is enabled on of the multi-information display, the
power switch is turned to ON mode.
If the system is functioning correctly, the BSM outside rear view mirror indicators will turn off after a few seconds.
If the BSM outside rear view mirror indicators do not illuminate or do not turn off, there may be a malfunction with the system. If this occurs, have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus retailer or Lexus
authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer.
*9: This light illuminates on the outside rear view mirrors.
WARNING
■If a safety system warning light does not come on
Should a safety system light such as the ABS and SRS warning light not come on when you start the hybrid system, this could mean that these systems are not available to helpprotect you in an accident, which could result in death or serious injury. Have the vehi-
cle inspected by any authorized Lexus retaile r or Lexus authorized repairer, or any reli- able repairer immediately if this occurs.

Engine coolant temperature gauge
Displays the engine coolant temperature
Tachometer/Hybrid System Indicator
Tachometer: Displays the engine speed in revolutions per minute.
Hybrid System Indicator: Displays hybrid system outp ut or regeneration level (P. 108)
Outside temperature
Displays the outside temperature within the range of -40C (-40F) to 50C (122 F). Low outside temperature indicator comes on when the ambient temperature
is 3 C (37F) or lower.
Clock
Time displayed is linked to the analog clock on the instrument panel. (P. 378)
Speedometer
Displays the vehicle speed
Fuel gauge
Displays the quantity of fuel remaining in the tank
Multi-information display
Presents the driver with a variety of driving-related data (P. 111)
Displays warning messages in case of a malfunction (P. 466)
Odometer, trip meter, maintenance required information and speed warning
display
Odometer: Displays the total distance the vehicle has been driven
Trip meter:
Displays the distance the vehicle has been driven since the meter was last reset. Trip meters “A” and “B” can be used to record and display different distances inde-pendently.
Maintenance required information: • Displays the maintenance required information when the power switch is inON mode.
• It can be reset from of the multi-information display. ( P. 111)
Speed warning:
Displays a warning when the speed set in of the multi-information display is exceeded. ( P. 562)
Shift position and shift range
Displays the selected shift position or selected shift range (P. 224)
