●The G-force values may not be zero even when the vehicle is parked, such as when it is
parked on an incline.
●Depending on the vehicle usage conditions, the brake fluid pressure display may not
reach its maximum reading even though the brake pedal is fully depressed.
●If a battery terminal is disconnected and reconnected, the steering amount display may
be disabled temporarily. After driving the ve hicle for a while, the display will be enabled.
■Suspension of the settings display
In the following situations, the settings disp lay using the meter control switches will be
suspended.
●When a warning message appears on the multi-information display
●When the vehicle begins to move
■Tire inflation pressure (if equipped)
●It may take a few minutes to display the tire inflation pressure afte r the engine switch is
turned to IGNITION ON mode. It may also take a few minutes to display the tire infla-
tion pressure after inflation pressure has been adjusted.
●“---” may be displayed if the tire information cannot be determined due to unfavorable
radio wave conditions.
●Tire inflation pressure changes with temperature. The displayed values may also be dif-
ferent from the values measured using a tire pressure gauge.

display.
While the start-up display is being displayed, the meter display cannot be changed even
if the drive mode is changed. When the start-up display is finished, the meter display for
the currently selected mode will be displayed.
■Torque distribution display (if equipped)
Torque distribution may not be displayed correctly in some cases, such as when the vehi-
cle passes over road expansion joints.
■G-force display
●The G-force values may not be zero even when the vehicle is parked, such as when it is
parked on an incline.
●The steering amount, accelerator pedal input, and brake fluid pressure displays are dis-
abled until the engine has warmed up (the variable red zone of the tachometer has
retracted to 7300 r/min).
After the engine has warmed up, these displays will be enabled.

■When disconnecting and reconnecting battery terminals
The following information data will be reset:
●Lap timer: Measured lap times, history
●G-force: Record of the maximum G-forces

Eco driving ratio based on accelera-

Zone of Eco driving
Eco Driving Indicator will not operate under the following conditions: ● The shift lever is in any position other than D.
● A paddle shift switch is operated.
● Neither normal mode nor Eco drive mode is selected. ( P. 358)
● The vehicle speed is approximately 130 km/h (80 mph) or higher.
While the drive gauges displays the
SPORT mode screen with the shift
lever in M, the display changes to one
of 3 levels in response to the engine
speed, notifying you of when to shift up. This may also be displayed when shifting
down as well, depending on the engine
speed.

■Passing other vehicles
Consider the total combined length of your vehicle and trailer and ensure that
the vehicle-to-vehicle distance is sufficient before executing lane change s.
■Transmission information
To maintain engine braking efficiency, when using engine braking, when driv-
ing on a long steep downgrade, do not use the transmission in D . If in the M
mode, the transmission shift range position must be in 4 or lower. ( P. 249)
■If the engine overheats
Towing a loaded trailer up a long, steep incline in temperatures exceeding 30 C (85 F) may result in the engine overheating. If the engine coolant tem-
perature gauge indicates that the engine is overheating, turn the air condition-
ing off immediately, leave the road and stop the vehicle in a safe place. ( P. 602)
■When parking the vehicle
Always place wheel chocks under the wheels of both the vehicle and trailer.
Firmly set the parking brake and shift the shift lever to P.
WARNING
Follow all the instructions described in this se ction. Failure to do so could cause an acci-
dent resulting in death or serious injury.
■Trailer towing precautions
When towing, make sure that none of the weight limits are exceeded. ( P. 234)
■To avoid accident or injury
●Do not tow a trailer when the compact spare tire is installed on your vehicle.
●Do not tow a trailer when the tire installed is repaired with the emergency tire punc-
ture repair kit.
●Do not use cruise control (if equipped), dynamic radar cruise control (if equipped) or
dynamic radar cruise control with full-speed range (if equipped) when trailer towing.
■Vehicle speed in towing
Observe the legal maximum speeds for trailer towing.
■Before descending hills or long declines
Reduce speed and downshift. However, never downshift suddenly while descending
steep or long downhill grades.
■Operation of the brake pedal
Do not hold the brake pedal depressed often or for long periods of time.
Doing so may result in the brake ov erheating or reduce braking effects.

Tire inflation pressure
■Effects of incorrect tire inflation pressure
Driving with incorrect tire inflation pressure may result in the following:
●Reduced fuel economy
●Reduced driving comfort and poor handling
●Reduced tire life due to wear
●Reduced safety
●Damage to the drive train
If a tire needs frequent inflating, have it checked by any authorized Lexus retailer or
Lexus authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer.
■Instructions for checking tire inflation pressure
When checking tire inflation pressure, observe the following:
●Check only when the tires are cold.
If your vehicle has been parked for at least 3 hours or has not been dri ven for more than
1.5 km or 1 mile, you will get an accurate cold tire inflation pressure reading.
●Always use a tire pressure gauge.
It is difficult to judge if a tire is prop erly inflated based only on its appearance.
●It is normal for the tire inflation pressure to be higher after driving as heat is generated
in the tire. Do not reduce tire inflation pressure after driving.
●Passengers and luggage weight should be placed so that the vehicle is balanced.
Make sure to maintain proper tire inflation pressure. Tire inflation pressure
should be checked at least once pe r month. However, Lexus recommends
that tire inflation pressure be checked once every two weeks. ( P. 629)
WARNING
■Proper inflation is critical to save tire performance
Keep your tires properly inflated.
If the tires are not properly inflated, the following conditions may occur which could
lead to an accident resulting in death or serious injury:
●Excessive wear
●Uneven wear
●Poor handling
●Possibility of blowouts resulting from overheated tires
●Air leaking from between tire and wheel
●Wheel deformation and/or tire damage
●Greater possibility of tire damage while driving (due to road hazards, expansion
joints, sharp edges in the road, etc.)
5167-2. Steps to take in an emergency
GS350_200t_GS F_OM_OM30F83E_(EE)
If you think something is wrong
●Fluid leaks under the vehicle.
(Water dripping from the air conditioning after use is normal.)
● Flat-looking tires or uneven tire wear
● Engine coolant temperature gauge needle continually points higher than nor-
mal.
● Changes in exhaust sound
● Excessive tire squeal when cornering
● Strange noises related to the suspension system
● Pinging or other noises related to the engine
● Engine missing, stumbling or running roughly
● Appreciable loss of power
● Vehicle pulls heavily to one side when braking
● Vehicle pulls heavily to one side when driving on a level road
● Loss of brake effectiveness, spongy feeling, pedal almost touches the floor
If you notice any of the following sy mptoms, your vehicle probably needs
adjustment or repair. Contact any authorized Lexus retailer or Lexus autho-
rized repairer, or any reliable repairer as soon as possible.
