ASC (Active Sound Control)
The ASC system can be operated when the
driving mode select switch is in the follow-
ing modes.
● SPORT S mode/customized mode
(powertrain control is set to “POWER”):
Sounds are output from the rear.
● SPORT S+ mode: When the engine
speed is in the low-to-medium speed
range, sounds are output from the rear.
At high engine speeds, sounds are
mainly output from the front.
■Disabling the ASC system
Press the ASC switch.
The indicator on switch will turn off.
Press the switch again to turn the system
back on.
Even if the indicator is illuminated, when
the driving mode select switch is in Nor-
mal, Eco drive or customized mode
(powertrain control is not set to
“POWER”), ASC does not operate.
The ASC system directs certain sounds from the front and rear of the cabin to the vehicle
interior, and harmonizes these sounds with the actual sound of the engine and exhaust in
order to allow the driver to feel acceleration and the state of the engine more strongly.

To adjust or select settings, move the Remote Touch knob to select the screen button,
and then press the Remote Touch knob or the “ENTER” button of Remote Touch to
enter the selected function.

amount of time until the mode changes varies depending on the interior temperature

*2: It also comes on due to natural causes such as natural air leaks and tire inflation pressurechanges caused by temperature. Adjust the tire inflation pressure to the specified level.
The light will turn off after a few minutes. In cas e the light does not turn off even if the tire
inflation pressure is adjusted, have th e system checked by your Lexus dealer.

■Starting the engine
Ensure that the shift lever is in P and
depress the brake pedal.
Touch the Lexus emblem side of the
electronic key to the engine switch.
When the electronic key is detected,
a buzzer sounds and the engine
switch will turn to IGNITION ON
mode.
When the smart access system with
push-button start is deactivated in
customization setting, the engine
switch will turn to ACCESSORY
mode.
Firmly depress the brake pedal and
check that and a message are
shown on the multi-information display.
Press the engine switch.
In the event that the engine still cannot be started, contact your Lexus dealer.1

If the electronic key battery becomes depleted , replace it with a new battery. For instruc-
tions on replacing the battery, refer to th e OWNER’S MANUAL. If you need further assis-
