Indicates a malfunction in the brake override system
A buzzer also sounds.
 Have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus
retailer or Lexus authorized repairer, or any reliable
repairer.
Indicates that engine oil level is low
This message may appear if the vehicle is stopped on a
slope. Move the vehicle to a level surface and check to
see if the message disappears.
A buzzer also sounds.
 Check the level of engine oil, and add if necessary.

Indicates that the outside temperature is approximately 3C (37 F) or lower

 Drive carefully, as the road may be icy.

Indicates that the engine oil is scheduled to be changed
 Check the engine oil and change if necessary. After
changing the engine oil, the oil change system
should be reset. ( P. 461)
(The indicator will not work properly unless the oil
maintenance data has been reset.)
(If equipped)
Indicates that the fuel in jectors require maintenance
soon  Have any authorized Lexus retailer or Lexus autho-
rized repairer, or any reliable repairer replenish the
injector cleaner to the fuel tank and reset the mes-
sage as necessary.
(GS350/GS200t only)
Indicates that the engine oil and oil filter should be
changed Have the engine oil and oil filter checked and/or
changed by any authorized Lexus retailer or Lexus
authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer. After
changing the engine oil, the oil change system
should be reset. ( P. 461)

porarily unavailable

 When conditions improve, the system resumes
operation. If this item is displayed continuously, have
the vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus
retailer or Lexus authorized repairer, or any reliable
repairer.
Air conditioning, heater and other operations are tem-
porarily limited due to high power consumption Turn off unnecessary electronic equipment to
reduce power consumption. Please wait until the
power supply returns to normal.
If this item is frequently displayed, have the vehicle
inspected at your any authorized Lexus retailer or
Lexus authorized repairer, or any reliable repairer
immediately.

■Warning message in radar cruise mode (if equipped)
In the following cases, the warn ing message may not be displayed even if vehicle-to-vehi-
cle distance decreases:
●When your vehicle and the vehicle ahead are traveling at the same speed or the vehicle
ahead is traveling more quickly than your vehicle
●When the vehicle ahead is traveling at a very low speed
●Immediately after cruise control speed is set
●At the instant the accelerator pedal is depressed
■Open door warning message (GS350/GS200t only)
The open door warning message continues to display until a door or the trunk is fully
closed, even if the engine switch is turned off. However, approximately 20 minutes after a
door or the trunk is not fully closed, the battery-saving function operates and the display
turns off even though a door or the trunk is not fully closed.
■Warning buzzer
In some cases, the buzzer may not be heard because of noisy place or an audio sound.

Power was turned off due to the
automatic power off function.  Next time when starting the
engine, increase the engine
speed slightly and maintain that
level for approximately 5 min-
utes to recharge the battery.
OnceThe electronic key has a low battery. Replace the electronic key bat-
tery. ( P. 491)
Once
The driver’s door was opened and
closed with the engine switch turned
off and then the engine switch was
put in ACCESSORY mode twice
without the engine being started.  Press the engine switch while
depressing the brake pedal.
During an engine starting proce-
dure in the event that the electronic
key was not functioning properly ( P. 595), the engine switch was
touched with the electronic key.  Press the engine switch within
10 seconds of the buzzer sound-
ing.
Once
The steering lock could not be
released within 3 seconds of the
engine switch being pressed. Press the engine switch while
depressing the brake pedal and
moving the steering wheel left
and right.

If the engine will not start
One of the following may be the cause of the problem: ●There may not be sufficient fuel in the vehicle’s tank.
Refuel the vehicle.
● The engine may be flooded.
Try to restart the engine again following correct starting procedures. ( P. 240)
● There may be a malfunction in the engine immobilizer system. ( P. 86)
One of the following may be the cause of the problem: ● The battery may be discharged. ( P. 597)
● The battery terminal connections may be loose or corroded.
The engine starting system may be malfunctioning due to an electrical problem
such as electronic key battery depletion or a blown fuse. However, an interim
measure is available to start the engine. ( P. 591)
One of the following may be the cause of the problem: ● One or both of the battery terminals may be disconnected.
● The battery may be discharged. ( P. 597)
● There may be a malfunction in the steering lock system.
Contact any authorized Lexus retailer or Le xus authorized repairer, or any reliable
repairer if the problem cannot be repaired , or if repair procedures are unknown.
If the engine will not start even though correct starting procedures are being
followed ( P. 240), consider each of the following points:
The engine will not start even thou gh the starter motor operates nor-
mally.
The starter motor turns over slowly , the interior lights and headlights
are dim, or the horn does not so und or sounds at a low volume.
The starter motor does not turn over
The starter motor does not turn over , the interior lights and headlights
do not turn on, or the horn does not sound.
