“PCS” warning light
Indicates a malfunction in the pre-collision system
The warning light will operate as follows, even when the system is
not malfunctioning:
• The light will flash quickly when the system is operating. ( P. 2 4 2 )
• The light will turn on when the pre-collision braking is disabled. ( P. 2 4 2 )
• The light will turn on when the system cannot temporarily be
used. ( P. 5 4 9 )
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately.
Slip indicator light
Indicates a malfunction in:
• The VSC system;
•The TRAC system; or
• The hill-start assist control system
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately.
The light will flash when the VSC, TRAC and/or ABS systems are
operating.

Automatic headlight leveling system warning light Indicates a malfunction in the au tomatic headlight leveling system
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately.
High coolant temperature warning light
Changes from a flashing to a solid light when the engine coolant
temperature increases

When trouble arises
The coolant level is satisfactory if it is between the “FULL” and “LOW” lines
on the reservoir. Reservoir

Add coolant if necessary.
Water can be used in an emergency
if coolant is unavailable.
Start the hybrid system and turn the air conditioning system on to check
that the radiator cooling fans operate and to check for coolant leaks from
the radiator or hoses.
The fans operate when the air conditioning system is turned on immediately after a
cold start. Confirm that the fans are op erating by checking the fan sound and air
flow. If it is difficult to check these, tu rn the air conditioning system on and off
repeatedly. (The fans may not operate in freezing temperatures.)
If the fans are not operating:
Stop the hybrid system immediately and contact your Lexus dealer.
If the fans are operating:
Have the vehicle inspected at the nearest Lexus dealer.

■If the warning message indicating overheats is shown on the multi-informa-
tion display
Stop the vehicle in a safe place.
Stop the hybrid system and carefully lift the hood.
After the hybrid system has cooled down, inspect the hoses and radiator
core (radiator) for any leaks.
