What is Covered
Repair or replacement of HYBRID SYSTEM
components listed below, originally manufactured or
installed by Kia Motor Company, Kia Motors
Manufacturing Georgia (KMMG) or Kia Motor America
(KMA) that are found to be defective in material or
factory workmanship under normal use and maintenance,
except any item specifically referred to in the section
“What is Not Covered”. Towing expense to the nearest
Kia Dealership or authorized service location is covered
when the vehicle is inoperable due to a warrantable
defect within 10 years from the date of original retail
delivery or date of first use, or 100,000 miles, whichever
occurs first. “Owner’s Responsibilities” and “Obtaining
Warranty Service” are the same as specified under the
Kia New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Repairs will be
made using new Kia Genuine Parts or Kia authorized
remanufactured parts.
The Warranty Period
The Warranty period for the following HYBRID
SYSTEM components is limited to 10 years from the
date of original retail delivery or date of first use, or
100,000 miles, whichever occurs first.Note : For California Emissions Vehicles (excluding
Pennsylvania and Washington), the Hybrid System is
covered for 10 years from the date of original retail
delivery or date of first use, or 150,000 miles, whichever
occurs first.
Hybrid System
Hybrid Battery Pack Assy, Hybrid Starter & Generator,
Hybrid Power Control Unit, Auto Transmission &
Traction Motor including housing case, clutch, On board
charger(OBC) and all internal parts.
Owner’s Responsibilities
Your responsibilities are the same as those described in
the Kia New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
What is Not Covered
Items not covered by this warranty and any exclusion or
limitations relating to this warranty are the same as those
set forth in the "What is Not Covered" section of the Kia
New Vehicle Limited Warranty already described in this
handbook. INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION,
LOSS OF TIME, INCONVENIENCE, LOSS OF USE
OF THE VEHICLE, OR COMMERCIAL LOSS ARE
NOT COVERED UNDER THIS WARRANTY.

This section contains information about Kia’s Roadside
Assistance Program, contacting Kia Motors America
and the BBB AUTO LINE. Please review the
procedures on the next few pages. They are provided to
help resolve any concerns you may have with your
vehicle or dealership. Feel free to contact us at any time.
Also included are basic requirements established by your
state regarding Lemon Laws for your reference.
ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
As an added consumer benefit, Roadside Assistance is
provided on all new 2017 model Kia Vehicles from the
date the vehicle is delivered to the first retail buyer or
otherwise put into use (in-service date), whichever is
earlier, for a period of 60 months or 60,000 miles,
whichever is earlier, subject to the terms, conditions and
exclusions set forth in this manual.
More information regarding the services available under
Kia’s Roadside Assistance program is available in your
Kia Vehicle’s Owner’s Manual. These servicesgenerally include:
•Towing to the nearest authorized Kia dealer or an
alternative service location in the event of a
warranty-related disablement
•Out of gas assistance (out of gas assistance is limited
to a maximum of 2 times per year and a maximum
of 2 gallons of gasoline)*
•Flat tire assistance*
•Jump start assistance*
•Lock-out assistance* (excludes reimbursement for
replacement of any missing, lost or damaged keys)
•Trip interruption expense benefits in the event a
warranty-related disablement occurs more than 150
miles from home and the repairs require more than
24 hours to complete (limited to $100 per day for a
maximum of 3 days per incident) NOTE: Fleet
vehicles are excluded from reimbursement under
Kia’s Trip Interruption Policy.
*Roadside Services are limited to a maximum of $75
per occurrence.
