Trip ComputerThis mode displays driving information like the tripmeter, fuel economy, and so on.

(if equipped)This mode displays the state of the navigation.
LDWS
(if equipped)This mode displays the state of the Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS).
For more details, refer to "Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS)" in chapter 6.
A/V
(if equipped)This mode displays the state of the A/V system.
Service
This mode informs of service interval (mileage or days) and pressure status of each tire.
This mode informs of warning messages related to washer fluid or malfunction of Blind Spot Detection system (BSD) and so on.
When the any door is not closed securely, this symbol illuminated.
User SettingsOn this mode, you can change settings of the doors, lamps and so on.

It calculates and displays when you need a scheduled maintenance
service (mileage or days). If the remaining mileage or time reaches 1,500 km (1,500 mi.) or 30
days, "Service in" message is dis-
played for several seconds each time
you set the ignition switch or Engine
Start/Stop Button to the ON position.Service required
If you do not have your vehicle serv- iced according to the already inputted
service interval, "Service required"
message is displayed for several sec-
onds each time you set the ignition
switch or Engine Start/Stop Button tothe ON position.To reset the service interval to the
mileage and days you inputted before:
- Activate the reset mode by press-
ing the OK button (reset) for more than 5 second, then press the OK
button (reset) again for more than 1second (Europe).
- Press the OK button (reset) for more than 1 second (Except Europe).

Service in OFF
If the service interval is not set,
"Service in OFF" message is dis-
played on the LCD display.

NOTICE
If any of the following conditions
occurs, the mileage and days may be
incorrect.
- The battery cable is disconnected.
- The fuse switch is turned off.
- The battery is discharged.
Master Warning Mode
(if equipped)
This warning light informs the driv- er the following situations
- Blind Spot Detection (BSD) malfunction (if equipped)
- Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) malfunction or Low tire
pressure warning (if equipped)
- Blind Spot Detection (BSD) sys- tem automatically cancellation(ifequipped)
- High Beam Assist (HBA) mal- function (if equipped) and so on.
The Master Warning Light illumi-nates when more than one of the
above warning situations occur. At
this time, the LCD Modes Icon will
change from ( ) to ( ).
If the warning situation is solved, the
master warning light will be turned offand the LCD Modes Icon will be User Settings Mode
Description
On this mode, you can change set-

Seat Easy Access(if equipped)
None: The seat easy access function will be deactivated.
Normal/Extended:
- When you turn off the engine, the driver’s seat will automatically move rearward short(Normal) or long (Extended) for you to enter or exit the vehicle more comfortably.
- If you change the Engine Start/Stop button from OFF position to the ACC, ON, or START position, the driver’s seat will return to the original position.
For more details, refer to "Driver Position Memory System" in chapter 3.
Steering Easy AccessIf this item is checked, the warning function regarding the steering wheel alignment will be activated.
For more details, refer to "Warning Messages" in this chapter.

Follow the Normal Maintenance
Schedule if the vehicle is usually
operated where none of the following
conditions apply. If any of the follow-
ing conditions apply, follow the
Maintenance Under Severe Usage
Conditions.
Repeated driving short distance of less than 8 km (5 miles) in normal
temperature or less than 16 km(10
miles) in freezing temperature
Extensive engine idling or low speed driving for long distances
Driving on rough, dusty, muddy, unpaved, graveled or salt-spreadroads
Driving in areas using salt or other corrosive materials or in very cold
weather
Driving in heavy dust condition
Driving in heavy traffic area
Driving on uphill, downhill, or mountain road repeatedly
Towing a trailer or using a camper, or roof rack Driving as a patrol car, taxi, other
commercial use of vehicle towing
Driving over 170 km/h (106 mile/h)
Frequently driving in stop-and-go condition
If your vehicle is operated under the
above conditions, you shouldinspect, replace or refill more fre- quently than the following NormalMaintenance Schedule. After theperiods or distance shown in the chart, continue to follow the pre-scribed maintenance intervals.

Valve clearance
(for gasoline engine)
Inspect for excessive valve noise
and/or engine vibration and adjust if
necessary. We recommend that the
system be serviced by an authorized
Kia dealer. Cooling system
Check the cooling system compo-
nents, such as the radiator, coolant
reservoir, hoses and connections for
leakage and damage. Replace any
damaged parts. Coolant The coolant should be changed at
the intervals specified in the mainte-
nance schedule. Automatic transaxle fluid (if equipped)
Automatic transaxle fluid should not
be checked under normal usage
conditions.
We recommend that the automatic
transmission fluid changed by an
authorized Kia dealer according to
the maintenance schedule.

NOTICE
Automatic transaxle fluid color is
basically red.
As the vehicle is driven, the auto-
matic transaxle fluid will begin to
look darker. It is normal condition
and you should not judge the need to
replace the fluid based upon the
changed color.
Brake hoses and lines
Visually check for proper installation,
chafing, cracks, deterioration and
any leakage. Replace any deteriorat-
ed or damaged parts immediately. Brake fluid (if equipped)
Check the brake fluid level in the
brake fluid reservoir. The level should
be between “MIN” and “MAX” marks
on the side of the reservoir. Use only
hydraulic brake fluid conforming to
DOT 3 or DOT 4 specification.
Parking brake
Inspect the parking brake system
including the parking brake pedal
and cables.
CAUTION
The use of a non-specified fluid could result in transaxle mal-function and failure.
Use only specified automatictransaxle fluid. (Refer to “Recommended lubricants andcapacities” in chapter 9.)
