Idle Stop/Start function has been deactivated
manually or as the result of a malfunction. The
engine will then not be switched off automati-
cally when the vehicle stops.WARNING
Failure to follow the warnings and instructions
for proper use of the LDW system could result
in serious personal injury or death. The LDW
system will not steer the vehicle or prevent
loss of control. It is the driver’s responsibility
to stay alert, drive safely, keep the vehicle in
the traveling lane, and be in control of the
vehicle at all times.
The LDW system warns the driver with a warn-
ing light and intermittent steering vibration that
the vehicle is beginning to leave the traveling
lane.The LDW system uses a camera

SYSTEM MALFUNCTION
If the LDW system malfunctions, it will cancel
automatically, and the message [Lane Depar-
ture Warning Inoperative] will appear.
Action to take:
Stop the vehicle in a safe location,
engage P (Park), turn the engine off and restart the
engine. If the message continues to appear, have
the system checked. It is recommended you visit
an INFINITI retailer for this service.
SYSTEM MAINTENANCE
The lane camera unit1for the LDW system is
located above the inside mirror.
To ensure the proper operation of the LDW
system and prevent a system malfunction, be
sure to observe the following:
•Always keep the windshield clean.
•Do not attach a sticker (including transpar-
ent material) or install an accessory near the
camera unit.
•Do not place reflective materials, such as
white paper or a mirror, on the instrument
panel. The reflection of sunlight may ad-
versely affect the camera unit’s capability of
detecting the lane markers.
•Do not strike or damage the areas around
the camera unit. Do not touch the camera
lens or remove parts from the camera unit. If
the camera unit is damaged due to an acci-
dent, it is recommended you contact an
INFINITI retailer.

1Vehicle information display
If radar blockage is detected, the system will be
turned off automatically, and the [Blind Spot
Warning Currently Unavailable See Operator’sManual] message appears in the vehicle infor-
mation display1. The system is not available
until the conditions no longer exist.
The radar sensors may be blocked by temporary
ambient conditions such as splashing water,
mist or fog. The blocked condition may also becaused by objects such as ice, frost or dirt
obstructing the radar sensors.
Action to take:When the above conditions no
longer exist, the system will resume automati-
cally. If the message still appears, have the
system checked. It is recommended you visit an
INFINITI retailer for this service.

RADAR MAINTENANCE
The two radar sensor unitsAfor the BSW
system are located near the rear bumper. Al-
ways keep the area near the radar sensors
clean.
The radar sensors may be blocked by temporary
ambient conditions such as splashing water,
mist or fog.
The blocked condition may also be caused by
objects such as ice, frost or dirt obstructing the
radar sensors.
Check for and remove objects obstructing the
area around the radar sensors.
Do not attach stickers (including transparent
material), install accessories or apply addi-
tional paint near the radar sensors.Do not strike or damage the area around the
radar sensors. It is recommended you consult
an INFINITI retailer if the area around the radar
sensors is damaged due to a collision.

Storing the current speed or calling up the last
stored speed:
WARNING
If you call up a stored speed and this is differ-
ent from the current speed, the vehicle accel-
erates or brakes. If you do not know what the
stored speed is, the vehicle may accelerate or
brake unexpectedly. There is a risk of an acci-
dent.
Take the traffic conditions into account before
calling up the stored speed. If you do not know
what the stored speed is, store the desired
speed again.

2. Remove your foot from the accelerator
pedal. The first time cruise control is acti-
vated, it stores the current speed or if a
speed has previously been stored, it regu-
lates the speed of the vehicle to the previ-
ously stored speed.
Setting a speed
Bear in mind that it may take a brief moment
until the vehicle has accelerated or braked to
the set speed.
1. Press the cruise control lever up
1for a
higher speed or down
3for a lower speed.
2. Keep the cruise control lever pressed until
the desired speed is reached.
3. Release the cruise control lever, The new
speed is stored.
4. To adjust the set speed in 1 MPH (1 km/h)
increments: briefly press the cruise control
lever up
1or down3to the pressure
point. The last stored speed increases or
decreases in 1 MPH (1 km/h) increments.
5. To adjust the set speed in 10 MPH (10 km/h)
increments: briefly press the cruise control
lever up
1or down3beyond the pressure
point. The last stored speed increases or
decreases in 10 MPH (10 km/h) increments.
NOTE
Cruise control is not deactivated if you depress
the accelerator pedal. For example, if you accel-
erate briefly to overtake, cruise control adjusts
the vehicle’s speed to the last speed stored after
you have finished overtaking.
Deactivating cruise control
There are several ways to deactivate cruise
control:
•Briefly press the cruise control lever forward

•Brake.
Cruise control is automatically deactivated if:
•The vehicle is secured with the electric
parking brake.
•You are driving at less than 20 MPH (30
km/h).
•VDC intervenes or you deactivate VDC.
If cruise control is deactivated, you will hear a
warning tone. You will see the [Cruise Control
Off] message in the vehicle information display
for approximately five seconds.
NOTE
The last speed stored is cleared when you switch
off the engine.

[ICC Currently Unavailable See Operator’s
Manual]:The ICC system is temporarily inopera-
tive. Possible causes:
•The function is impaired due to heavy rain or
snow.
•The radar sensor system is temporarily
inoperative, e. g. due to electromagnetic
radiation emitted by nearby TV or radio sta-
tions or other sources of electromagnetic
radiation.
•The system is outside the operating tem-
perature range.
•The on-board voltage is too low.
A warning tone also sounds.
Once the causes listed above no longer apply,
the display message goes out.
If the display message does not disappear:
•Pull over and stop the vehicle safely as soon
as possible, paying attention to road and
traffic conditions.
•Secure the vehicle against rolling away.
•Restart the engine.[ICC Inoperative]:The ICC system is malfunc-
tioning. The adaptive brake assist function may
also have failed. A warning tone also sounds.
Have the system checked. It is recommended
you visit an INFINITI retailer for this service.
[ICC Suspended]:You have depressed the accel-
erator pedal. The ICC system is no longer
controlling the speed of the vehicle.
The display message should disappear when
you remove your foot from the accelerator pedal
[ICC–––MPH]:An activation condition for the
ICC system is not fulfilled.
Check the activation conditions for the ICC
system.
SYSTEM MAINTENANCE
The sensor for the ICC systemAis located
behind the INFINITI logo at the front of the
vehicle.
To keep the ICC system operating properly, be
sure to observe the following:
•Always keep area around the sensor clean.
•Do not strike or damage the areas around
the sensor. Do not touch or remove the screw
located on the sensor. Doing so could cause
failure or malfunction. If the sensor is dam-
aged due to an accident, it is recommended
you contact an INFINITI retailer.
•Do not cover or attach stickers (including
transparent material) or install an accessory
near the sensor. This could cause failure or
malfunction.

FEB SYSTEM LIMITATIONS
WARNING
Listed below are the system limitations for the
FEB system. Failure to operate the vehicle in
accordance with these system limitations
could result in serious injury or death.
•The FEB system cannot detect all vehicles
under all conditions.
•The radar sensor does not detect the follow-
ing objects:
–Pedestrians or animals
–Oncoming vehicles
–Crossing vehicles
•The radar sensor has some performance
limitations. For stationary vehicles, the FEB
system will not function when the vehicle is
driven at speeds over:
–Approximately 31 MPH (50 km/h) for the
Autonomous braking function.
•The radar sensor may not detect a vehicle
ahead in the following conditions:
–Dirt, ice, snow or other material covering
the radar sensor.
–Interference by other radar sources.
–Snow or heavy rain.
–If the vehicle ahead is narrow (e.g. mo-
torcycle).
–If the vehicle ahead is in a different lane.–Under strong radar reflections, for ex-
ample, in a multi-level parking garage.
–New vehicle or after a maintenance of
the FEB system. For additional informa-
tion, seeBreak-in schedulelater in this
section
–When driving on a steep downhill slope
or roads with sharp curves.
–When towing a trailer.
•In some road or traffic conditions, the FEB
system may intervene unnecessarily or give
an unnecessary warning. Always pay care-
ful attention to the traffic situation. Do not
rely solely on the distance warning function
and terminate the intervention if necessary.
•Braking distances increase on slippery sur-
faces.
•The system is designed to automatically check
the sensor’s functionality, within certain limi-
tations. The system may not detect some forms
of obstruction of the sensor area such as ice,
snow, stickers, for example. In these cases, the
system may not be able to warn the driver prop-
erly. Be sure that you check, clean and clear the
sensor area regularly.
•Excessive noise will interfere with the warn-
ing chime sound, and the chime may not be
heard.

For each of these messages, possible causes
and solutions are listed below.
[Emergency Brake Currently Unavailable See
Operator’s Manual]:The FEB system is tempo-
rarily inoperative. Possible causes:
•The radar sensor system is temporarily
inoperative, for example, due to electromag-
netic radiation emitted by nearby TV or radio
stations or other sources of electromagnetic
radiation.
•The system is outside the operating tem-
perature range.
•The on-board voltage is too low.
