Fuel Gauge
This gauge indicates the approxi-
mate amount of fuel remaining in the
fuel tank.
✽ ✽NOTICE
• The fuel tank capacity is given in
chapter 8.
• The fuel gauge is supplemented by a low fuel warning light, which
will illuminate when the fuel tank
is nearly empty.
• On inclines or curves, the fuel gauge pointer may fluctuate or the
low fuel warning light may come
on earlier than usual due to the
movement of fuel in the tank.
Odometer
The odometer Indicates the total dis-
tance that the vehicle has been driv-
en and should be used to determine
when periodic maintenance should
be performed.

WARNING - Fuel Gauge
Running out of fuel can expose
vehicle occupants to danger.
You must stop and obtain addi-
tional fuel as soon as possible
after the warning light comes
on or when the gauge indicator
comes close to the "E (Empty)"
level.
CAUTION
Avoid driving with a extremely low fuel level. Running out offuel could cause the engine tomisfire damaging the catalyticconverter.

Service in OFF
If the service interval is not set,
"Service in OFF" message is dis-
played on the LCD display.

NOTICE
If any of the following conditions
occur, the mileage and days may be
incorrect.
- The battery cable is disconnected.
- The fuse switch is turned off.
- The battery is discharged.
Master Warning Mode
(if equipped)
This warning light informs the driv-
er the following situations:
- Low washer fluid (if equipped).
- Blind Spot Detection (BSD) mal-function (if equipped).
- Lane Departure warning system (LDWS) malfunction (if equipped).
- Smart cruise control system (SCC) malfunction (if equipped).
- Service reminder and so on.
The Master Warning Light illumi-
nates when more than one of the
above warning situations occur. At
this time, the LCD Modes Icon will
change from ( ) to ( ).
If the warning situation is solved, the
master warning light will be turned
off and the LCD Modes Icon will be
changed back to its previous icon
( ). (ex : refill the washer fluid)User Settings Mode
Description
On this mode, you can change set-

Seat Easy Access
(if equipped)
None: The seat easy access function will be deactivated.
Normal/Extended:
- When you turn off the engine, the driver’s seat will automatically move rearward short(Normal) or long (Extended) for you to enter or exit the vehicle more comfortably.
- If you change the Engine Start/Stop button from the OFF position to the ACC, ON, or START position, the driver’s seat will return to the original position.
For more details, refer to "Driver Position Memory System" in chapter 3.
Steering PositionIf this item is checked, the warning function regarding the steering wheel alignment will be activated.
Wiper/Lights DisplayIf this item is checked, LCD display shows a selected wiper/light mode whenever you changed
its mode.
Gear Position Pop-upIf this item is checked, the gear position will be displayed when you move the shift lever.

Service Interval
This mode, you can activate the service interval function with mileage (km or mi.) and period
(months).
Off : The service interval function will be deactivated.
On :You can set the service interval (mileage and months).

Press START button with key (for smart key system)
This warning message illuminates if you press the Engine Start/Stop
Button while the warning message
“Key not detected” is illuminating.
At this time, the immobilizer indica- tor light blinks.
Check fuse BRAKE SWITCH
(for smart key system)
This warning message illuminates if the brake switch fuse is not func-
tioning and should be checked.
It means that you should replace the fuse with a new one. If that is
not possible, you can start the
engine by pressing the Engine
Start/Stop Button for 10 seconds in
the ACC position.
Shift to P or N to start engine
(for smart key system)
This warning message illuminates if you try to start the engine with
the shift lever not in the P (Park) or
N (Neutral) position.
✽ ✽ NOTICE
You can start the engine with the
shift lever in the N (Neutral) position.
But, for your safety, we recommend
that you start the engine with the
shift lever in the P (Park) position.

Low Washer Fluid (if equipped)
This warning message illuminateson the service reminder menu if
the washer fluid level in the reser-
voir is nearly empty.
It means that you should refill the washer fluid.
Low Fuel
This warning message illuminatesif the fuel tank is nearly empty.
- When the low fuel level warninglight illuminates.
- When the trip computer displays "--- km (or mile)" as distance to
empty.
Add fuel as soon as possible.
Engine has overheated
This warning message illuminates when the engine coolant tempera-
ture is above 248°F (120°C).
It means that the engine is over- heating and may become damaged.
If your vehicle is overheated, refer to
"Overheating" in chapter 6.

Check headlight (if equipped)
This warning message illuminates if
there is a malfunction with the head-
lamp. In this case, have your vehicle
inspected by an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.

• When replacing the bulb, use the
same wattage bulb.

"BULB WATTAGE" in chapter 8.
• If the different wattage bulb is equipped with the vehicle, this

Warning lights

NOTICE - Warning lights
Make sure that all warning lights
are OFF after starting the engine. If
any light is still ON, this indicates a
situation that needs attention.
Air bag Warning Light
This warning light illuminates:
Once you set the ignition switch or
Engine Start/Stop Button to the ON
position.
- It illuminates for approximately 6seconds and then goes off.
When there is a malfunction with the SRS.
In this case, have your vehicle
inspected by an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer.
Seat Belt Warning Light
This warning light informs the driver
that the seat belt is not fastened.
For more details, refer to the "Seat
