Safety Cautions
Pay attention to traffic conditions w\bile

•Operating t\be device w\bile driving could
lead to accidents due to a lack of atten-
tion to external surroundings. First park
t\be ve\bicle before operating t\be device.
In addition, t\be touc\b screen \fay not
work for so\fe functions w\ben t\be ve\bi-
cle is in \fotion. T\be touc\b screen fea -
ture will be supported once t\be ve\bicle
\bas stopped.
• Adjust t\be volu\fe to levels t\bat allow
t\be driver to \bear sounds fro\f outside
of t\be ve\bicle. Driving in a state w\bere
external sounds cannot be \beard \fay
lead to accidents.
•Pay attention to t\be \Fvolu\fe setting w\ben
turning t\be device on. A sudden output
of extre\fe volu\fe upon turning t\be
device on could lead to \bearing i\fpair -
\fent. (Adjust t\be volu\fe to a suitable
levels before turning off t\be device.)
• If you want to c\bange t\be position of
device installation, please inquire wit\b
your place of purc\base or service \fain-
tenance center. Tec\bnical expertise is
required to install or disasse\fble t\be
device.
•Turn on t\be car ignition before using t\bis
device. Do not operate t\be Multi\fedia
syste\f for long periods of ti\fe wit\b t\be
ignition turned off as suc\b operations

About Disc
Precautions upon Handling Discs
CAUT\fON
• After \bsin\f a disc, p\bt the disc back in its
ori\final case to prevent disc scratches.
• Do not \bse abnormally shaped discs (8cm,
heart-shaped, octa\fon-shaped) as s\bch discs
co\bld lead to errors.
• Do not clean discs with chemical sol\btions,
s\bch as record sprays, antistatic sprays,
antistatic liq\bids, benzene, or thinners.
• Do not expose the disc to direct s\bnli\fht or
hi\fh temperat\bres for prolon\fed periods of
time. S\bch expos\bre may lead to disc defor-
mation.
• Upon playin\f a disc contaminated by dirt
or other s\bbstances, the so\bnd q\bality may
deteriorate and res\blt in skippin\f so\bnds.
Writin\f on either side of the disc co\bld res\blt
in dama\fe to disc s\l\brfaces.
• Clean fin\ferprints and d\bst off the disc
s\brface (coated side) \lwith a soft cloth.
• Copy-protected CDs, s\bch as S-type CDs,
may not properly operate in the device. DATA
CDs cannot be played. (However, s\bch discs
may still abnormally operate.)
• Do not disassemble the device. Contact a
desi\fnated service center in case\l of problems.
(Complete after service assistance will not be
provided if the \bser d\lisassembles the device.)
• Do not \bse water to clean the device.
Expos\bre to water co\bld lead to prod\bct
dama\fe.
• Do not introd\bce forei\fn s\bbstances into
the disc insert/eject slot. Introd\bcin\f forei\fn
s\bbstances co\bld dam\la\fe the device interior.
• The device may not properly operate
in extremely hot or cold temperat\bres.
(The operatin\f temperat\bre ran\fe is:14˚F ~
150˚F)
• Steam can become condensed on the fiber-
optic lens d\be to rain, wet conditions, or
\bpon operatin\f the heatin\f system. In s\bch
cases, discs may not be properly reco\fnized.
Remove the disc and wait \bntil the moist\bre
dries.
• Skippin\f may occ\br d\brin\f a\bdio play when
drivin\f on b\bmpy roads for prolon\fed periods
of time or \bpon severe shock to the vehicle. In
case of severe shock, a\bdio may not properly
play.
