Releasing the parking brake
To release the manual parking brake:
1. Pull slightly on the lever (1) .
2.

ess the release button (2) .

Lo

wer the lever.
Once the parking brake is completely released,
the indicator lamp goes off in the instrument
panel.
Drive selector
Do not press the accelerator pedal
when moving the selector lever from
position "N" to position "D" or "R".
All changes of drive selector position
must be made with the vehicle
stationary.
Failure to follow this advice introduces
the risk of an accident.
Do not change drive direction with the
selector when the accelerator pedal is
pressed down.
This can cause the vehicle to move off
suddenly and cause an accident.

(N): "NEUTR AL" position: no drive engaged.
(D): "DRIVE" position: for ward drive.
(R): "REVERSE" position: reverse drive.
It is essential to keep the brake pedal applied
when changing selector position.

Your E-MEHARI's courtesy lamp comes on
automatically on opening the doors and goes
off when closing the doors or when you switch
the vehicle on.

The mood lighting mode bathes the passenger

the courtesy lamp and mood lighting

Both are powered by the 12V battery,
which could be completely discharged if
they were to remain on.

Sun visors
The sun visors fold for ward.
To protect you from dazzle from the front: lower
the sun visor.
12V socket
Remove the cap and use a suitable adaptor to
connect a 1
2V accessory (maximum power
120W) to the socket.
USB port for the audio
system and charging
electronic devices
This USB port (1) can be used to charge
certain electronic devices such as mobile
phones (however, not all are compatible) with a
maximum rating of 500mA.
The USB port is also compatible with the
vehicle's audio system (see page 64).

Never wash the underbonnet, the
charging socket or the traction battery
using a high pressure jet wash: risk of
damage to the electrical system.
Never wash the vehicle while it is
charging: risk of electric shock that
could cause death.
Cleaning the vehicle by the regular
use of a high pressure car wash with
rotating brushes is not recommended.
