Adjustment
Adjust the rearview mirror to get a
clear view of the area behind the
vehicle.
Manual Rearview Mirror
If equipped, push the tab forward for
daytime use and pull it for nighttime
use to avoid the glare of headlamps
from behind. See Manual Rearview
Mirror 046.
Automatic Dimming Rearview
Mirror
If equipped, automatic dimming
reduces the glare of headlamps
from behind. The dimming feature
comes on when the vehicle is
started.

Steering Wheel
Adjustment
To adjust the steering wheel:
1. Pull the lever down.
2. Move the steering wheel up, down, forward, and backward.
3. Pull the lever up to lock the steering wheel in place.
Do not adjust the steering wheel
while driving.
Interior Lighting
Front and Rear Dome Lamps
The front dome lamp controls are in
the overhead console.
(: Press to turn the lamps off,
even when a door is open.
H: When the button is returned to
the middle position, the lamps turn
on automatically when a door is
opened.
': Press to turn on the dome
lamps.

Keys (Key Access)
{Warning
Leaving children in a vehicle with
the ignition key is dangerous and
children or others could be
seriously injured or killed. They
could operate the power windows
or other controls or make the
vehicle move. The windows will
function with the keys in the
ignition, and children or others
could be caught in the path of a
closing window. Do not leave
children in a vehicle with the
ignition key.

CHECK XXX TURN
SIGNAL LAMP
When one of the turn signals is out,
this message displays to show
which bulb needs to be replaced.
SeeBulb Replacement 0264 and
Replacement Bulbs 0271.
TURN SIGNAL ON
This message is displayed if the
turn signal has been left on. Turn off
the turn signal.
Object Detection System
Messages
FORWARD COLLISION
ALERT OFF
This message displays when the
Forward Collision Alert, if equipped,
cannot activate due to a temporary
condition.
FRONT CAMERA BLOCKED
CLEAN WINDSHIELD
This message displays when the
camera is blocked. Cleaning the
outside of the windshield behind the
rearview mirror may correct the issue. Forward Collision Alert and
the Lane Departure Warning system
will not operate.
LANE DEPARTURE WARNING
UNAVAILABLE
If your vehicle has the Lane
Departure Warning (LDW) system,
this message may display if the
LDW system cannot activate due to
a temporary condition.
PARK ASSIST OFF
This message displays when the
parking assist system has been
turned off or when there is a
temporary condition causing the
system to be disabled. See
Parking
Assist 0227.
SERVICE LANE DEPARTURE
WARNING
This message displays when the
Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
system is disabled and needs
service. See your dealer.
SERVICE FRONT CAMERA
If this message remains on after
continued driving, the vehicle needs
service. Take the vehicle to your
dealer. Do not use the Lane
Departure Warning (LDW) and
Forward Collision Alert (FCA)
features.
SERVICE PARKING ASSIST
This message displays if there is a
problem with the parking assist
system. Do not use this system to
help you park. See Parking
Assist 0227.
SERVICE SIDE DETECTION
SYSTEM
If this message remains on after
continued driving, the vehicle needs
service. Side Blind Zone Alert
(SBZA) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert
(RCTA) will not work. See your
dealer.
SIDE BLIND ZONE ALERT OFF
This message displays if the SBZA
has been turned off.

188 Climate Controls
To allow outside air to enter in these
conditions, press the recirculation
button twice. The recirculation
indicator will not be lit.
M/L:If equipped, press to heat
the driver or passenger seat. See
Heated Front Seats 056.
Rear Window and Outside
Mirror Defogger
1:Press to turn the rear window
and outside mirror defogger on or
off. An indicator light comes on to
show that the feature is on.
The rear window defogger turns off
after about 10 minutes. It can also
be turned off by pressing
1again
or by turning the ignition to ACC/
ACCESSORY or LOCK/OFF.
If turned on again it runs for about
five minutes before turning off.
If equipped with heated outside
mirrors, they turn on with the rear
window defogger and help to clear
fog or frost from the surface of the
mirror. See Heated Mirrors 045.
Caution
Using a razor blade or sharp
object on the inside rear window
can damage the antenna or
defogger. Repairs would not be
covered by the vehicle warranty.
Do not stick anything to the rear
window.
Air Vents
Use the air vents in the center and
on the side of the instrument panel
to direct the airflow. Move the slats
on the center air vents to direct
airflow.
Operation Tips
.
Clear away any ice, snow,
or leaves from the air inlets at
the base of the windshield that
may block the flow of air into the
vehicle.
. Use of non-GM approved hood
deflectors may adversely affect
the performance of the system.
