Vehicle
Personalization
Personalization Menu (Radio
without Touchscreen)
The audio system controls are used
to access the personalization
menus for customizing vehicle
features.
The following are all possible
personalization features. Depending
on the vehicle, some may not be
available.
MENU :Turn to scroll through the
menus or setup items. Press to
enter the menus and select the
menu items.
BACK : Press to exit or return to
the previous screen or menu.
To access a menu:
1. Press MENU.
2. Turn MENU to the desired menu.
3. Press MENU to select.
Menus and functions may vary
depending on vehicle options. Entering the Personalization
Menus
Select Settings from the
Home Page.
The following menus may be
available:

Time and Date
. Tone Settings
. Auto Volume Control
. Maximum Startup Volume
. Vehicle Settings
Time and Date
Select Time and Date to adjust the
clock. See Clock0107.
Tone Settings
Select to set the radio tone. See
“Tone Settings” under“Radio
Controls without Touchscreen” in
Operation 0157.
Auto Volume Control
This feature automatically adjusts
the radio volume based on the
speed of the vehicle.
Select the desired value.
Maximum Startup Volume
When the vehicle is started and the
radio volume is greater than this set
level, the volume is adjusted to this
level.
Select the desired value.

Select and the following may

This allows this feature to be
changed.
Select Normal or High.
Auto Wipe in Reverse Gear
This allows this feature to be turned
on or off. When on, and the front
wipers are on, the rear window
wiper will turn on automatically
when the vehicle is shifted into
R (Reverse).
Select On or Off.
Collision/Detection Systems
If equipped, select and the following
may display:
.Park Assist
. Side Blind Zone Alert
Park Assist
This allows this feature to be turned
on or off.
Select On or Off. Side Blind Zone Alert
This allows this feature to be turned
on or off. See
Side Blind Zone Alert
(SBZA) 0230.
Select On or Off.
Languages
Select, then select from the
available language(s).
The selected language may not
support all infotainment features.
Lighting
Select the Lighting menu and the
following may be displayed:
. Exit Lighting
Exit Lighting
Select to set how long the exterior
lamps stay on when leaving the
vehicle and it is dark outside. See
Exit Lighting 0150.
Select the desired time.
Power Door Locks
Select and the following may
display:
. Unlocked Door Anti Lock Out .
Auto Door Unlock
. Delayed Door Lock
Unlocked Door Anti Lock Out
When on, this feature will keep the
driver door from locking when the
door is open. If this feature is turned
on, the Delayed Door Lock menu
will not be available.
Select Off or On.
Auto Door Unlock
This allows selection of which of the
doors will automatically unlock when
the vehicle is shifted into P (Park)
with an automatic transmission or
when the vehicle is turned off with a
manual transmission.
Select Off, All Doors, or Driver Door.
Delayed Door Lock
When on, this feature will delay the
locking of the doors. To override the
delay, press the power door lock
switch on the door.
Select Off or On.

Return to Factory Settings
Select to return all vehicle
personalizations to the default
settings.
Select Yes or No.
Software Information
Select to view the radio software
information.

Settings can be made with the
ignition on and the vehicle not
moving.

Select Time and Date to adjust the

Language
Select, then select from the
available language(s).
Valet Mode (If Equipped)
This will lock the infotainment
system and steering wheel controls.
It may also limit access to vehicle
storage locations (if equipped).
To enable valet mode:
1. Enter a four-digit code on the keypad.
2. Touch Enter to go to the confirmation screen.
3. Re-enter the four-digit code.
Touch LOCK or UNLOCK to lock or
unlock the system. Touch Back to
go back to the previous menu.
Radio
Select and the following may

Disabilities
Advisors provide services to help
Subscribers with physical disabilities
and medical conditions.
Press
Qto help:
. Locate a gas station with an
attendant to pump gas.
. Find a hotel, restaurant, etc.,
that meets accessibility needs.
. Provide directions to the closest
hospital or pharmacy in urgent
situations.
TTY Users
OnStar has the ability to
communicate to deaf,
hard-of-hearing, or speech-impaired
customers while in the vehicle. The
available dealer-installed TTY
system can provide in-vehicle access to all OnStar services,
except Virtual Advisor and OnStar
Turn-by-Turn Navigation.
OnStar Personal Identification
Number (PIN)
A PIN is needed to access some
OnStar services. The PIN will need
to be changed the first time when
speaking with an Advisor. To
change the OnStar PIN, contact an
OnStar Advisor by pressing
Qor
calling 1-888-4ONSTAR.
Warranty
OnStar equipment may be
warranted as part of the vehicle
warranty.
Languages
The vehicle can be programmed to
respond in multiple languages.
Press
Qand ask for an Advisor.
Advisors are available in English,
Spanish, and French. Available
languages may vary by country.
Potential Issues
OnStar cannot perform Remote
Door Unlock or Stolen Vehicle
Assistance after the vehicle has
been off continuously for 10 days
without an ignition cycle. If the
vehicle has not been started for
five days, OnStar can contact
Roadside Assistance or a locksmith
to help gain access to the vehicle.
Global Positioning
System (GPS)
. Obstruction of the GPS can
occur in a large city with tall
buildings; in parking garages;
around airports; in tunnels and
underpasses; or in an area with
very dense trees. If GPS signals
are not available, the OnStar
system should still operate to
call OnStar. However, OnStar
could have difficulty identifying
the exact location.
. In emergency situations, OnStar
can use the last stored GPS
location to send to emergency
responders.
