Clock
The clock can be set with either the
radio turned on or off.
AM-FM Radio
To set the time:1. Press
Huntil the hour begins
flashing on the display. Press
this button a second time and
the minutes begin flashing on
display.
Press
Ha third time and the
12HR or 24HR time format
begins flashing.
2. While either the hour or the minutes are flashing, turn the
f
knob, on the upper right side of
the radio, clockwise or
counterclockwise to increase or
decrease the time. While the
12HR or 24HR time format is
flashing, turn the
fknob
clockwise or counterclockwise
to select the default time
settings. 3. Press
Hagain until the clock
display stops flashing to set the
currently displayed time;
otherwise, the flashing stops
after five seconds and the
current time displayed is
automatically set.
Radio with CD/MP3
To set the time and date:
1. Press
Hand the HR, MIN, MM,
DD, and YYYY (hour, minute,
month, day, and year) display.
2. Press the softkey under any one of the tabs to be changed.
Every time the softkey is
pressed again, the time or the
date if selected, increases
by one.
Another way to increase the
time or date is to press
¨
SEEK or\FWD (forward).
3. To decrease, press
©SEEK or
sREV. Turn thefknob, on
the upper right side of the
radio, to adjust the selected
setting. Changing the Time and Date
Default Settings
To change the time or date default
settings:
1. Press
Hand then the softkey
under the forward arrow that is
currently displayed on the radio
screen until the time 12H
(hour) and 24H (hour), and the
date MM/DD (month and day)
and DD/MM (day and month)
are displayed.
2. Press the softkey under the desired option.
3. Press
Hagain to apply the
selected default, or let the
screen time out.
Power Outlets
Power Outlets 12 Volt Direct
Current
The accessory power outlets can be
used to plug in electrical equipment,
such as a cell phone or an MP3
player.

The vehicle may have two
accessory power outlets on the
instrument panel.
Remove the cover to access and
replace when not in use.
Certain power accessory plugs may
not be compatible to the accessory
power outlet and could overload
vehicle or adapter fuses. If a
problem is experienced, see your
dealer.
{Warning
Power is always supplied to the
outlets. Do not leave electrical
equipment plugged in when the
vehicle is not in use because the
vehicle could catch fire and cause
injury or death.
Caution
Leaving electrical equipment
plugged in for an extended period
of time while the vehicle is off will(Continued)

drain the battery. Always unplug
electrical equipment when not in
use and do not plug in equipment
that exceeds the maximum
20 amp rating.
When adding electrical equipment,
be sure to follow the proper
installation instructions included with
the equipment. See Add-On
Electrical Equipment 0212.
Caution
Hanging heavy equipment from
the power outlet can cause
damage not covered by the
vehicle warranty. The power
outlets are designed for
accessory power plugs only, such
as mobile phone charge cords.
Power Outlet 110/120 Volt
Alternating Current
This power outlet can be used to
plug in electrical equipment that
uses a maximum limit of 150 watts.
The 110/120 volt power outlet is on
the instrument panel.
An indicator light on the outlet turns
on to show it is in use. The light
comes on when the ignition is in
ON/RUN, equipment requiring less
than 150 watts is plugged into the
outlet, and no system fault is
detected.
The indicator light does not come on
when the ignition is in LOCK/OFF or
if the equipment is not fully seated
into the outlet.
If equipment is connected using
more than 150 watts or a system
fault is detected, a protection circuit
shuts off the power supply and the
indicator light turns off. To reset the
circuit, unplug the item and plug it
back in or turn the Retained
Accessory Power (RAP) off and
then back on. See Retained
Accessory Power (RAP) 0179.

Brake System Warning
Light
The vehicle brake system consists
of two hydraulic circuits. If one
circuit is not working, the remaining
circuit can still work to stop the
vehicle. For normal braking
performance, both circuits need to
be working.
If the warning light comes on, there
could be a brake problem. Have the
brake system inspected right away.
MetricEnglish
This light should come on briefly
when the engine is started. If it does
not come on then, have it fixed so it
will be ready to warn you if there is
a problem.
When the ignition is on, the brake
system warning light also comes on
when the parking brake is set. See
Parking Brake 0189 for more information. The light stays on if the
parking brake does not fully release.
If it stays on after the parking brake
is fully released, it means the
vehicle has a brake problem.
If the light comes on while driving,
pull off the road and stop carefully.
The pedal might be harder to push,
or the pedal might go closer to the
floor. It could take longer to stop.
If the light is still on, have the
vehicle towed for service. See
Towing the Vehicle
0286.
{Warning
The brake system might not be
working properly if the brake
system warning light is on.
Driving with the brake system
warning light on can lead to a
crash. If the light is still on after
the vehicle has been pulled off
the road and carefully stopped,
have the vehicle towed for
service.
Antilock Brake System
(ABS) Warning Light
For vehicles with the Antilock Brake
System (ABS), this light comes on
briefly when the engine is started.
If it does not, have the vehicle
serviced by your dealer. If the
system is working normally the
indicator light then goes off.
If the ABS light stays on, turn the
ignition off. If the light comes on
while driving, stop as soon as it is
safely possible and turn the ignition
off. Then start the engine again to
reset the system. If the ABS light
stays on, or comes on again while
driving, the vehicle needs service.
If the regular brake system warning
light is not on, the vehicle still has
brakes, but not antilock brakes.
If the regular brake system warning
light is also on, the vehicle does not

have antilock brakes and there is a
problem with the regular brakes.

Tow/Haul Mode Light
For vehicles with the Tow/Haul
Mode feature, this light comes on
when the Tow/Haul Mode has been
activated.
See Tow/Haul Mode 0187.
StabiliTrak OFF Light
This light comes on briefly while
starting the engine. If it does not,
have the vehicle serviced by your
dealer.
This light comes on when the
StabiliTrak system is turned off.
If StabiliTrak is off, the Traction
Control System (TCS) is also off.
If the StabiliTrak and TCS are off,
the system does not assist in
controlling the vehicle. Turn on the
TCS and the StabiliTrak systems
and the warning light turns off.

Traction Control System
(TCS)/StabiliTrak Light
This light comes on briefly when the
engine is started.
If the light does not come on, have
the vehicle serviced by your dealer.
If the system is working normally,
the indicator light turns off.
If the light is on and not flashing, the
TCS and potentially the StabiliTrak
system have been disabled.
A Driver Information Center (DIC)
message may display. Check the
DIC messages to determine which
feature(s) is no longer functioning
and whether the vehicle requires
service. See Ride Control System
Messages 0116.
If the light is on and flashing, the
TCS and/or the StabiliTrak system
is actively working.

taken to your dealer for service as
soon as possible.
Fuel System Messages
FUEL LEVEL LOW
This message displays and a chime
sounds if the fuel level is low. Refuel
as soon as possible.
SeeFuel Gauge 096 and Fuel
0 198 for more information.
TIGHTEN GAS CAP
This message may display along
with the check engine light on the
instrument cluster if the fuel cap is
not tightened properly. See
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (Check
Engine Light) 0102. Reinstall the
fuel cap fully. See Filling the Tank
0 200. The diagnostic system can
determine if the fuel cap has been
left off or improperly installed.
A loose or missing fuel cap allows
fuel to evaporate into the
atmosphere. A few driving trips with
the cap properly installed should
turn this light and message off.
Key and Lock Messages
REPLACE BATTERY IN
REMOTE KEY
This message displays if a Remote
Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter
battery is low. The battery needs to
be replaced in the transmitter. See
“Battery Replacement” under
Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)
System Operation 025.
Lamp Messages
AUTOMATIC LIGHT
CONTROL OFF
This message displays when the
automatic headlamps are turned off.
See Exterior Lamp Controls 0125.
AUTOMATIC LIGHT
CONTROL ON
This message displays when the
automatic headlamps are turned on.
See Exterior Lamp Controls 0125.
TURN SIGNAL ON
This message displays and a chime
sounds if a turn signal is left on for
1.2 km (0.75 mi). Move the turn
signal lever to the off position.
Object Detection System
Messages
PARK ASST BLOCKED SEE
OWNERS MANUAL
This message displays if there is
something interfering with the Rear
Parking Assist (RPA) system. See
Parking Assist 0197.
PARK ASSIST OFF
After the vehicle has been started,
this message displays to remind the
driver that the Rear Parking Assist
(RPA) system has been turned off.
Press the set/reset button or the trip
odometer reset stem to
acknowledge this message and
clear it from the DIC display. To turn
the RPA system back on, see
Parking Assist 0197.

Entering the Feature
Settings Menu
1. Turn the ignition on and placethe vehicle in P (Park).
To avoid excessive drain on
the battery, it is recommended
that the headlamps are
turned off.
2. Press
Uto enter the feature
settings menu.
If the menu is not available,
FEATURE SETTINGS
AVAILABLE IN PARK will
display. Before entering the
menu, make sure the vehicle is
in P (Park).
Feature Settings Menu Items
The following are customization
features that allow you to program
settings to the vehicle:
DISPLAY IN ENGLISH
This feature will only display if a
language other than English has
been set. This feature allows you to
change the language in which the
DIC messages appear to English. Press
Uuntil the PRESSVTO
DISPLAY IN ENGLISH screen
appears on the DIC display. Press
the set/reset button once to display
all DIC messages in English.
LANGUAGE
This feature allows you to select the
language in which the DIC
messages will appear.
Press
Uuntil the LANGUAGE
screen appears on the DIC display.
Press
Vonce to access the settings
for this feature. Then press
Uto
scroll through the following settings:
ENGLISH (default) : All messages
will appear in English.
FRANCAIS : All messages will
appear in French.
ESPANOL : All messages will
appear in Spanish.
ARABIC : All messages will appear
in Arabic.
NO CHANGE : No change will be
made to this feature. The current
setting will remain. To select a setting, press
Vwhile
the desired setting is displayed on
the DIC. A beep will sound once a
language has been selected.
AUTO DOOR LOCK
This feature allows you to select
when the doors will
automatically lock.
Press
Uuntil AUTO DOOR LOCK
appears on the DIC display. Press
Vonce to access the settings for
this feature. Then press
Uto scroll
through the following settings:
SHIFT OUT OF PARK (default) :
The doors will automatically lock
when the vehicle is shifted out of
P (Park).
AT VEHICLE SPEED : The doors
will automatically lock when the
vehicle speed is above 13 km/h
(8 mph) for three seconds.
NO CHANGE : No change will be
made to this feature. The current
setting will remain.

AUTO DOOR UNLOCK
This feature allows you to select
whether or not to turn off the
automatic door unlocking feature.
It also allows you to select which
doors and when the doors will
automatically unlock.

UNLOCK appears on the DIC
display. Press
Vonce to access
the settings for this feature. Then
press
Uto scroll through the
following settings:
OFF : None of the doors will
automatically unlock.
DRIVER AT KEY OUT : Only the
driver door will unlock when the key
is taken out of the ignition.
DRIVER IN PARK : Only the driver
door will unlock when the vehicle is
shifted into P (Park). ALL AT KEY OUT :
All of the doors
will unlock when the key is taken
out of the ignition.
ALL IN PARK (default) : All of the
doors will unlock when the vehicle is
shifted into P (Park).
NO CHANGE : No change will be
made to this feature. The current
setting will remain.
To select a setting, press
Vwhile
the desired setting is displayed on
the DIC.
REMOTE DOOR LOCK
This feature allows you to select the
type of feedback you will receive
when locking the vehicle with the
Remote Keyless Entry (RKE)
transmitter. You will not receive
feedback when locking the vehicle
with the RKE transmitter if the doors
are open. See Remote Keyless
Entry (RKE) System Operation 025.
Press
Uuntil REMOTE DOOR
LOCK appears on the DIC display.
Press
Vonce to access the settings
for this feature. Then press

scroll through the following settings: OFF :
There will be no feedback
when you press
Qon the RKE
transmitter.
LIGHTS ONLY : The exterior lamps

This feature allows you to select the
type of feedback you will receive
when unlocking the vehicle with the

the DIC. DELAY DOOR LOCK
This feature allows you to select
whether or not the locking of the
doors will be delayed. When locking
the doors with the power door lock
switch and a door is open, this
feature will delay locking the doors
until five seconds after the last door
is closed. You will hear three chimes
to signal that the delayed locking
feature is in use. The key must be
out of the ignition for this feature to
work. You can temporarily override
delayed locking by pressing the
power door lock switch twice or
Q
on the RKE transmitter twice. See
Delayed Locking

Press
Uuntil DELAY DOOR LOCK
appears on the DIC display. Press
Vonce to access the settings for
this feature. Then press
Uto scroll
through the following settings:
OFF : There will be no delayed
locking of the vehicle's doors.
ON (default) : The doors will not
lock until five seconds after the last
door is closed. NO CHANGE :
No change will be
made to this feature. The current
setting will remain.
To select a setting, press
Vwhile
the desired setting is displayed on
the DIC.
EXIT LIGHTING
This feature allows you to select the
amount of time you want the
exterior lamps to remain on when it
is dark enough outside. This
happens after the key is turned from
ON/RUN to LOCK/OFF.
Press
Uuntil EXIT LIGHTING
appears on the DIC display. Press
Vonce to access the settings for
this feature. Then press
Uto scroll
through the following settings:
OFF : The exterior lamps will not
turn on.
10 SECONDS (default) : The
exterior lamps will stay on for
10 seconds.
1 MINUTE : The exterior lamps will
stay on for one minute.
