To inspect or replace the engine air
cleaner/filter:
2.0L L4 Engine (LTG)
1. Remove the four screws and lift the cover assembly.
2. Inspect or replace the air cleaner/filter.
3. Reverse Steps 1-2 to reinstall the housing cover.
3.6L V6 Engine (LGX)
1. Remove the four screws and lift the cover assembly.
2. Inspect or replace the air cleaner/filter.
3. Reverse Steps 1-2 to reinstall the housing cover.6.2L V8 Engine (LT1)
1. Remove the five screws and lift the cover assembly.
2. Inspect or replace the air cleaner/filter.
3. Reverse Steps 1-2 to reinstall the housing cover.

cleaner not only cleans the air; it
helps to stop flames if the engine

Caution
If the air cleaner/filter is off, dirt
can easily get into the engine,
which could damage it. Always
have the air cleaner/filter in place
when you are driving.
Cooling System
If the vehicle has a 6.2L V8 LT4
engine, see the HP supplement.
The cooling system allows the
engine to maintain the correct
working temperature.

If the engine oil life system is reset
accidentally, service the vehicle
within 5 000 km/3,000 mi since the
last service. Reset the oil life
system when the oil is changed.
